My mother came to Ashlyn's for one week's respite. When I was visiting and researching a home for her, I was immediately struck by how friendly all the staff were, how well they seemed to know their residents and interacted with them/ When my mum came for her respite, there was initially a problem with the bed, but it was sorted out immediately, and the staff were amazing. The manager, deputy manager and receptionists all spoke to me and made sure I was happy. They were so helpful and friendly.
I am overall happy with my mum's care, but on occasions as she is immobile she has to wait to go to the bathroom, which I find frustrating. I think there should be more carers and equipment in the home. The ones who are there are brilliant. Sadly, a lot of carers have left, which is a great shame. Also more tea and coffee should be provided.
Ashlyn Care Home has been a godsend. The staff are amazing, so caring, funny and helpful, they all go above and beyond. I love visiting my father-in-law, knowing he is happy and content. The home is always clean and put on activities for the residents.
Thank you for a pleasant stay. Well looked after, miss you on leaving. The kindness of the staff, care and expertise goes a long way.

A well run caring home with excellent staff.
I honestly feel like Ashlyn Care Home has saved my mums life. I've seen such a change in her she has put on weight thanks to the great food and regular meals which she didn't do for herself at home. Her mental health has improved thanks to regular stimulation from the chats with staff and events the home plans. She wasn't keen to go into a home to start but now she has a new lease of life and is very happy being part of the Ashlyn family. All the staff we meet are friendly and helpful and were great with advice for me when my mum first arrived. I really can't thank them all enough they do an amazing job despite it being very challenging at times.
We are very happy with Ashlyns. Our mu has settled in well. We find the staff from reception, domestic and care all very pleasant and helpful to us. Mum has got quite attached to some of the cares, who are very patient with her so it's been sad to see one or two of them leave.
We always get a warm welcome when we arrive to see Mum. Staff are very helpful from all departments. We are listened to and action is taken when we have any concerns. Mum has not been so contented for a number of years, so thank you Ashlyn's, for your professional care, support and love for my mum. We know it is not always easy!
Very helpful, friendly staff. Always ready to answer questions and discuss care and any concerns. My mother-in-law seems very contented in the dementia unit.
Everyone at Ashlyn is wonderful. My nan has the best care, and she enjoys the great food on offer. We, as a family, feel that Nan is treated with respect and genuine care. We couldn't be happier with the attention she receives, and all the residents are treated as individuals. We did have issues with the hot water supply, but I believe this is resolved now.
Was refused entry to my mum yet again due to lockdown and I'm a caregiver. Not being kept informed or updated. The key worker refused to allow me in, blocking me. We had no notification prior. Totally disgusting care and treatment.
My aunt was a resident for three years and was always wheelchair-bound. The staff cared for her in her wheelchair using hoists etc. so she needed a lot of support. She was also very frail, aged 94-97 in the home. The premises are spotlessly clean and there is a very calm atmosphere. Ashlyn Care Home staff have always been available to discuss my aunt, especially the busy care home manager. An open and transparent atmosphere is the norm.
Since living here, I have met some nice friends, and the staff are all very helpful and friendly.
My wife was sent here for rehab after an ankle op. The room was comfortable and clean. But the best part was the staff, nothing was too much trouble, they were all kind and sympathetic to my wife and to me as well. The management was approachable and helpful. A great team.
All the staff had the biggest smiles, they couldn't do enough for me. I will be forever grateful to them for helping me get through this painful ordeal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The greatest carers, most care so much like the residents are their family. I do worry about understaffing at weekends and the huge lack of really good activities. All residents love playing ball, music, etc. Beautiful gardens, yet residents hardly get taken out (sad). Room is very clean. The dining room and lounge could really do with more hygiene and better cleaning. The chef cares so much - amazing food - sweet man.

I can not praise all the staff enough my mother has only been with you for 6 weeks and the change is overwhelming. The help all the staff from reception to cleaners that I've received is second to none. My mother is happy and content and I have all the staff to thank for that. So I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It was the hardest decision that I had to make about mum going into a care home. But I'm so glad I made the right one.
