View Full Details of Blenheim HouseOver the years she has been there, the staff have looked after Mum really well, always with smiling faces and kind interactions witnessed. 'Tired' facilities (which would take time, money and disruption to all to remedy) but cannot fault the care being received.
Dad has been at Blenheim House since March 2024 and as his child, I cannot fault the care that he has received there. The staff are so supportive to Dad and ourselves and genuinely want the best for him. Dad loves the food and has no complaints. The home has excellent staff however I feel they are being let down by the facilities being dated and in need of a refresh/upgrade.
I have found the care very gentle and understanding of my brother and tolerating of some of his difficult times. They have been very pleasant to me too. I feel his needs are being met well and he is safe and in a place which is providing the best for him. When he first went in, I had three meals with him and I felt the food was very good. I wanted to give five stars to everything but feel one should only do that if something unusual and exceptional happens.
Care provided for my mother is mostly good. The building is very dated and could do with a general overhaul which would make it a more pleasant environment for the residents (and for visitors - especially when in the resident's room) (toilet and sink in my mother's room could do with replacing).
Limited contact but we have been very pleased with the interaction we have had with staff. Everything we have needed to deal with has been well managed. Not able to comment on food as no experience with it so only able to register one star as the review doesn't work without a rating.
The staff are kind and caring. They are helpful and listen to any views you have. They give you confidence that Mum is being cared for.
The home is very clean and the atmosphere is very buoyant. Staff are very friendly and engaging with me when I visit and I experience my friend being well looked after. The security in the home is good and it's easy to arrange a visit.
I am so happy with the care my great-aunt receives. We have good communication with the home, and the staff are always kind and caring. My Aunt is unbelievably important to our entire family and her happiness and quality of life are imperative and we feel we have found that at Blenheim House.
During my visits to Blenheim House, I always have an excellent experience. The staff are lovely and treat my Father with the utmost care and dignity. They welcome our family warmly and provide us with a private family room to spend time together. The residents can participate in various activities regularly. On the whole, my Father is content, safe, and well looked after. I would highly recommend Blenheim House to anyone searching for a local care home.
Whenever I visit, I am treated with kindness and respect, my relation appears to be well cared for. the building is old but considering the age is fairly clean. The staff are always busy, but find time to assist you when needed. I am very happy with the care my relation receives.
Welcoming, calm atmosphere and caring, happy staff. My husband is supported well and encouraged to participate in activities. His personal needs are well supported.
This patient was moved from local hospital on the 7th of December 2023, requiring total bed rest. The care provided was excellent!
Extremely happy with the care the girls give my grandmother. They're always friendly and take the best care of her. Thank you.
Blenheim House Care Home team provided end-of-life care for my dad earlier in the year and now have been caring for my mum for the past couple of months. Mum keeps saying how lovely the home is, how good the food is and how nice the food is, so if she is happy then this is a good indicator. Not an easy situation for her, us or carers, but in the grand scale of things is working really well in a situation none of us would wish to be in. Staff and management are always fabulous on the phone and very caring/empathetic/welcoming and have a great sense of humour when needed!
Generally very good. Meals look good with good-sized portions. The home is always clean. Mum would like to get out a bit more from the home, even if she’s walked to the seafront or to the shop. Sometimes she asks for pain relief but doesn’t get it as the staff are busy and forget.
Having had a fall at home, my aunt was discharged from hospital to Blenheim House in January 2023. Despite the best efforts of the hospital and the staff at Blenheim House, she didn't manage to remobilise, so Blenheim House has now become her permanent home. The manager and all the staff we have met have been extremely helpful throughout a difficult time and we have every confidence in the care being provided. What matters most though is that my aunt says she is very happy with her situation and feels well looked after.
My brother-in-law has been in Blenheim House for 5 years now and it was a problem to get him settled. It took a while but he is now content and the staff look after him well even though he can be demanding. The management team always contact me if anything is wrong or needs attending to.
My nan has been at Blenheim House Care Home since Christmas 2022 as she could no longer love at home alone. The staff at Blenheim give Nan the care she needs and she is happy at the home. She is always very complimentary about the staff that care for her. Thank you all for making my nan happy.
My mother has been at the home for three years and her dementia has got worse, although no fault of the home. She has been comfortable and well cared for during her stay. The staff have always gone out of their way to make my visits welcoming and informed.
We cannot fault the care that Dad receives. The staff are always accommodating and welcoming to us and keep us well informed of any changes in Dad's health quickly. The management are outstanding and the staff are amazing!
