View Full Details of Bradbury HouseThe staff at Bradbury House are excellent, so caring, very aware of clients' needs and care, ready to listen to any family member who has any issues or questions with their relative. The management is extremely proud of their staff and clients and very attentive to all. If there are any issues, they are dealt with immediately. I am so happy we found this lovely place for our mum, who now thinks she is at a holiday camp.
We are so happy with the care my mum is receiving at Bradbury House. Her health has noticeably improved since she has been there and we are relieved that she is receiving such great care. The manager is always working hard every time we see her, the administrator has been a great help with finances and the activities lady is always offering a varied and interesting choice of activities and events. Please pass on my family's thanks to all the staff there.
My mother-in-law moved in December. This care home has a very cosy feel and feels more like a B&B than a care home. That is a compliment as I viewed many care homes and they all felt clinical. Bradbury House has a lovely feeling when you walk in. Every carer is exceptional, including the management and all staff that work here. Chef, cleaner, handyman are all very lovely. I am very happy my mother-in-law is here. I would only say that on some occasions they seem short-staffed but otherwise, very impressed.
I can only congratulate Bradbury House on the wonderful care that they give to my brother. Having attended many of their functions, spoken to many of their residents, I have only seen happy faces and happy people. My brother is a changed person since being in Bradbury House and I cannot praise the wonderful staff enough.
When we first visited Bradbury House, I knew it was where I wanted my mum to live. The place immediately felt homely, and the staff we met were great. The food is lovely, and all the staff are so caring to every resident. They have different activities every day, which is great for my mum as she likes to keep busy. I can visit anytime and always feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Bradbury House is definitely a home-from-home.
My husband has been in Bradbury House for just over nine months. He is happy, relaxed and enjoys the many and varied activities and outings. He says the food is always very good and his 24-hour care is excellent. I have noticed that the staff give every resident their individual time and care with a smile. The manager sets a fine example by being proactive and friendly, which means that the atmosphere of the home is always warm and a joy to visit .
Bradbury House in Braintree has been outstanding in every aspect from our experience. The level of care and effort shown by every member of the staffing team has been beyond our expectation. This is not just for the care provided but the activities, dining and support provided. The overall feeling set in an older style building with a historical connection to Braintree creates more of a family home environment rather than that of a residential home, although every level of support is provided. The freedom to visit at any time and regularly witness life at Bradbury House along with the regular social media updates is so reassuring for the family. In our opinion, Bradbury House is an excellent residential care home. The monthly rate for staying at Bradbury House is exceptionally good value from our experience.
My father has been at Bradbury House for a few months now and has received kind and compassionate care from all the team. He has had a couple of appointments at hospital which have been organised without hassle. I visit unannounced and always find him clean and tidy. The other residents are all happy as well when I visit.
Staff are kind and caring. My mother is immobile with dementia but feels safe at Bradbury House. She is comfortably warm in her room and has enough to eat and drink. My mother prefers to stay in her own room but I think she should be made to join in some activities with the other residents. She did enjoy the Christmas Party and joined in the singing. Thank you.
I have, myself, been a carer for twenty-four years. I have to say, Bradbury House is one of the best I have seen. My sister is the happiest I have seen her for a very long time. I have no concerns, and it makes me happy to see her so well looked after. It also gives all the family peace of mind. Thank you for your time.
My dad has literally settled in so well. He loves his new home and says that everyone is very friendly. He describes Bradbury House as a five-star hotel. My experience is that the home is friendly, welcoming and caring. Seeing Dad so happy for me means that Bradbury House is amazing. I cannot praise this care home enough, it's home from home.
My 90-year-old mum had a fall and went into Bradbury House Care Home for respite, she quickly decided to stay, she has made friends and gone out on trips and has become a firm favourite with the carers. I was very worried when we made this decision but I visit all the time and am made welcome. She has a lovely room and gets brilliant care at all times.
Bradbury House is a place where you can call home immediately. As you walk through the door, the staff are so friendly and helpful. It has a wonderful atmosphere. Even though my mother only stayed for a short period of time, her last days were filled with laughter and companionship. She became animated and interested in talking to new friends. You succeeded in finding my mum, her cheeky self returned, and she was so happy, eating, drinking, talking; she had given up on life until Bradbury House and their lovely staff. My only regret is her time with you was far too short. Thank you from a very grateful daughter.
I have been an ex-NHS volunteer at Bradbury House since last July, having been to a couple of other care homes in the past. I was struck from the beginning at the lovely, homely feeling, being a bit smaller than some of the other care homes I have visited. I can honestly say that I have been so impressed at all the staff from the management team (frequently seen on the floor participating wildly in activities - have never experienced managers outside of their office!) down to the carers and activity staff in the obviously caring way that the home is run. Staff are extremely empathetic and go out of their way to ensure residents' mental wellbeing and stimulation as well as the more everyday tasks. I very much enjoy my weekly visit!
My father moved into Bradbury House five months ago. Initially, he was unsettled, but gradually with the gentle and sensitive care of the staff, through attention to his health, emotional needs, care needs and social needs, he has settled well and has no complaints. The family are confident in the knowledge that he is being well cared for.
What can I say? Nothing but positive comments. The moment you walk into the house you get such a warm vibe. It's a home-from-home with happy, caring staff. They have put so much effort into making the decor beautiful - the indoor garden with a bench to sit on, Music playing birdsong, there are flowers and a beautiful backdrop. This says a lot about how the house is managed. Happy to leave my friend in such a caring, clean, person-centred place and she is happy to be here.
Such a homely home from home. Wonderful staff who treat everyone with respect and warmth. A wonderful manager who is very person-centred. I really enjoy coming to see my friend and leave feeling happy that she is so happy.
Although our uncle was only at Bradbury for a short time we could not have wished for better care. Our only regret is that he didn't go into the home sooner. In those few months, he was eating well and looked tidy and well cared for. The interaction from the staff towards residents and visitors is excellent and the rapport and morale are a credit to the manager and her staff. It was always a pleasure to visit our uncle and we know that he was happy during his time there. Thank you so much for everything and well done to you all.
Bradbury House became home for my nana from the moment she arrived. While she had been reluctant to be moved to a home and initially agreed on a respite basis, she very quickly called it home instead of her house. There was a clear difference in her overall health and persona too, we had watched her deteriorate and become more frail and old. In the home she has found a new thirst for life again, something she was well known for, and is thriving with the numerous activities and phenomenal staff support. We love that it's a small and close team and it's got a much more family than the clinical atmosphere. We really couldn't have chosen better hands to leave our most loved relative in and have recommended Bradbury House to many that we know too. Keep up the amazing work team!
Bradbury House is a lovely residential home. It provides excellent care to my very elderly friend and she is very well cared for and looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. My friend is taken out in her wheelchair to the shops and the town whenever there is an opportunity. The staff are all very approachable and are always welcoming when I visit. I am kept up to date with phone calls should the need arise and I am very satisfied that my friend is receiving the best care in a lovely, homely environment.
