Broomhills is a fantastic home, the manager is brilliant, her door is always open. Any issues are sorted promptly and always with a smith, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are fantastic, caring, going out of their way for residents. There is always something going on. The home is so good, my mum was allowed to bring her budgie, own furniture which made it home from home. She is so happy here and so am I.
My mother-in-law came into Broomhills as she lost her husband and didn't want to be alone. I have to say, the staff have gone above and beyond to settle my mother-in-law in. Gardens, room, activities are fantastic, it's like a home from home, would definitely recommend Broomhills to anyone.
We transferred Mum from a different home and she has settled in very well. Staff have made her very welcome in a very caring environment. She will never improve as she has dementia but she is very much enjoying herself and participating in all the activities.
My mum came to Broomhills in June after a decision to remove her from the home she had been a resident in for a year and a half. Broomhills came highly recommended from a friend of mine whose mother-in-law resides with you. My mum seems to have settled in very well now after a small hiccup that set her back a bit. I cannot thank the staff enough for being so kind and attentive to her needs and making her feel so welcome. I am of the understanding Mum is eating well and joins in the activities. There is always something going on to keep the residents occupied and a good deal of thought into what activities they do. I am very impressed with The Tools Down idea as it gives each resident some one-on-one time with a carer to do something they like, it's a great idea. Nothing is too much bother for the staff and they treat the residents with the kindness and care they individually deserve. Keep up the good work.
The staff at Broomhills are always friendly and welcoming when we visit. They have taken the time to get to know my father-in-law and have gone out of their way to ensure they have his favourite snacks for him. He is well cared for and comfortable and has a clean room. We feel really lucky that he has a room in this excellent home.
Excellently run with friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy, room ideal for ladies' needs, plenty of toilets and bathrooms to meet her requirements. I would have no hesitation recommending this home to friends, both my wife and I were very impressed.
Broomhills is a lovely care home, all the staff are so kind and caring. All staff are very helpful towards myself when I visit. My friend is always so happy when I visit and speaks so highly of everyone. I would recommend Broomhills.
My parents were in this home in 2017 and 2020. I recommended this home to my friend's relations. The care, staff, facilities, homecooked food, cleanliness, friendliness of all staff I found to be exemplary. I had no hesitation in recommending Broomhills. Thank you.
My mother-in-law became a resident in early December and we can honestly say her quality of life has improved dramatically. She settled so quickly which was down to the care, understanding and commitment of all the staff and management to give their residents a happy, safe and warm environment fulfilling the social interaction, trips out for lunches, walks, shopping and bingo and a constant entertainment facto with singers and dancers, by staff as well and even yoga classes, cake making, the list is endless. Going from a lonely, solitary existence causing depression and anxiety and progressing the dementia, she is now happy, content, settled and enjoys her new way of life. This leaves us, as a family, happy and relieved she has taken to her new life so well and in all down to the staff of the home.
When visiting Broomhills, the staff are always very welcoming, the general environment is clean and tidy and looks as homely as possible. Staff are always aware of my friend's health and well-being when I ask questions and keen to share activities she has participated in. My friend is always in clean clothes and looks well cared for. She is happy and settled, loves the food and I have always noticed how kind staff are to all residents.
Mum has been here since the beginning of January. A very caring and experienced manager makes this home the best place I could have found for my mum's needs. A very bright, clean home with lovely, caring staff who treat Mum like she is family and she will get the care she deserves. I'd like to mention the kitchen staff as the food here is top-notch.
My husband came to Broomhills from another care home after suffering from illness. The staff are truly amazing, I cannot thank them enough for the care and compassion they demonstrate every day. My husband isn't an easy person to care for, but they are so patient with him, encouraging him in all aspects of his daily life. He loves the food and personal attention he receives. Full marks and would absolutely recommend.
My dad has been very happy here. He is well looked after and all the staff are lovely, he has built relationships with them and the staff team spoil him. We often take Dad out but he is always happy to go home. The management and staff team are very friendly and professional, there is always someone available to talk to if needed.
My mum has been living at Broomhills for over a year. Staff are so kind and caring. Mum is well cared for. Mum is very happy and joins in with all activities and loves going out or on outings. Mum was doing ballet when we visited the home.
I didn't want to put Mom into a care home, I don't think anyone wants to do that. I was told about Broomhills so I went and visited the home. I was met by a very caring staff. The home itself is excellent, with constant care and attention for Mom. I cannot praise Broomhills enough, excellent home.
My mother-in-law spent 2 years 4 months in Broomhills Care Home. She received excellent care during this time. The manager and her staff supported my mother-in-law with patience, understanding and dignity. As a family, we always felt we had the staff's support in some very difficult situations. It is a very homely care home with a friendly atmosphere. Well done everyone.
I have nothing but praise for the staff at Broomhills. There always seems to be plenty of staff around if you need help. All the staff are friendly, helpful and very caring. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. Thank you so much for your support. I highly recommend Broomhills care home.
My brother has been in this home for a few months now. He feels very comfortable with his surroundings and staff. He tells me the staff are friendly and very supportive with his needs. All staff encourage him to get involved with all activities they put on. Any questions or support that I need, management and staff are always available to help.
My sister has just moved into Broomhills as she has MS and unfortunately getting progressively worse. We have found the staff very helpful and kind and willing to make my sister as comfortable as possible. It is always lovely and clean and there always seems to be staff around if you need them. My sister is completely bedridden and incontinent so needs special care which she is getting! She has lived on microwave meals for the last few years having carers four times a day But now she is already looking better for the fresh food and variety she is getting. It all looks really appetising when she gets it having been there visiting at meal times. So far we are very pleased with her care and cannot fault the staff.
Overall, we have nothing but praise and thanks to the whole team at Broomhills Care Home. During one of the most difficult times and decisions we had to make regarding Mum's ongoing care, the staff have supported both Mum, my dad, who had to take her in, and me during the transition - she has settled well and is living safely, with dignity and above all, care. We are so grateful that we found this wonderful place for her.
