View Full Details of Broome EndVery pleased with the compassion of the staff and team leaders. The deputy manager was always ready to give information about any of my requests and enquiries.
My husband has been in care the last three months and is happy there, he used to go for respite for a few weeks for a few years.
Lovely care home, couldn't wish for a better place where my mother could spend her days. Nice garden and conservatory to relax in. Caring staff are always on hand should they need anything. I know my mother is happy there and I am 100% satisfied that she is well cared for.
The care home is really amazing with all their residents, I cannot thank the team enough for everything they do for my nan and the support the team gives us, as a family. This must be one of the hardest jobs to look after people’s loved ones that have dementia as an illness. Thank you so much Broome End Care Home.
Dad has been at Broome End for 18 months now and the care and support he has received has been excellent. He was quite independent at first but now needs more help and there is always a member of staff to assist him. I visit on a regular basis and it always feels like a family there. I am informed of everything concerned with Dad, if he has seen a doctor or if he needs some more sweets! I am so pleased we chose Broome End and I know Dad feels the same.
My wife has been a resident in Broome End for just over twelve months. She suffers from late-stage dementia and is unable to walk or have a meaningful conversation. I visit on a regular basis and am always impressed by the excellent care she receives. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a difficult time for me too, but the staff always have a chat and make me very welcome. I feel that my needs are also met, which gives me great comfort. If you are considering care for a loved one, you will not be disappointed here.
My parents-in-law were both residents together. After looking at a number of care homes I stopped my search after finding Broome End. As soon as I walked in I knew it was the one. I was not disappointed. I cannot praise the care home enough they go over and beyond. I have unfortunately had to place my mother into care and needless to say, she is very happy at Broome End.
As a family, we are very fortunate to have found Broome End for Mum. She has been happy and settled there for some time. The care and compassion shown to Mum from the carers and all of the staff, from management to the cleaners, is amazing. We have been kept informed throughout these difficult times and all effort has been made to keep us in as close contact as possible. When we have been unable to go and see Mum in person, we have had no concerns whatsoever about her welfare, which has been invaluable. Our thanks, love and gratitude are sent to all the staff.
My mother is doing really well since moving into Broome End care home. She enjoys it there and has made friends and is getting good care and plenty of attention. The staff are very understanding, helpful and polite. The home is very clean and my mother has a lovely room overlooking the well-kept garden that she loves to be in.
Lovely staff, very polite and very supportive and kind.
The staff here are amazing always so supportive, caring and helpful. I've not a bad word today. Mum has dementia and I would say has her moments. All the staff are fab right through to the kitchen staff
My mother mainly suffers from dementia and has been a resident at Broome End 5 years. During that time staff have been extremely patient with her changing needs and personalities and have built up an excellent relationship with her. Broome End was chosen mainly for its family atmosphere and hasn't disappointed. Cleanliness and meals are second to none and activities offered always interesting and innovative. Their relationship with local surgery is excellent and I've promptly informed any changes in medication. Management and staff have been excellent during lockdown maintaining contact with my mother keeping me informed of changes and despite logistics facilitating visits safely.
Our dear mum has been a resident at Broome End for over three and a half years. In that time she has been really happy and settled. She loves all the staff and management, they are so kind and patient. As a family, we have always loved visiting we feel like part of a big family. In the last year with the pandemic, the staff have been amazing, keeping in touch with us by phone, video and lately with garden and home visits. Wonderful caring home.
My mum has been at Broome End since August 2017, and we know we chose the right home. There is such a lovely, homely atmosphere, and all the staff treat Mum with such kindness and dignity. Mym has advanced dementia, so doesn't really recognise us, but has a special bond with the carers and looked happy, which is lovely to see. This last year with the pandemic has been hard, but we were informed of changes throughout. I cannot praise them highly enough!
Lovely people and very kind to relatives. Very pleased to have found it. Delightful and helpful staff. Very difficult to adjust to the situation but the staff are very helpful. It is not the most modern of places but very homely and friendly. Would not go anywhere else.
Carers know the resident's body language. The staff are like family, so caring and not like robots. This is our 3rd care home. Might I say it's the best with fantastic rates. It is more like a hotel service and even special foods are catered for as my mum has an intolerance. The family members are greeted with tea and biscuits or cake. Don't let the entrance hall put you off as it is small. A beautiful old mansion building set in fields, yet minutes away from the town centre.
Moving to a care home is a life-changing event so we were delighted to see the kind, compassionate way Broome End helped Mum make this transition and how this has continued during her stay. Mum always comments on how happy she is to be living at Broome End. Broome End is not a purpose-built care home but, the building’s character and staff make it a home from home. As highlighted in another review, we would recommend visiting to see for yourself. Thank you to the Broome End team for all their hard work and dedication.
My uncle is very happy at Broome End. He is cared for in a very efficient, friendly and caring way. The facilities are clean, staff friendly and helpful.
I am very happy and have lived here for almost five years. I am given my independence whenever possible. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the food is good. It is very professionally run.
My dad is superbly cared for by all the staff at Broome End. His every need is anticipated and catered for on an individual level. He is very happy and content and I am so glad he is part of the Broome End family.
