I have found Colne House to be an ideal location for my Mother. The team are always on hand to assist and there is a good atmosphere. I am pleased to know my Mother is encouraged to participate in various activities. I would happily recommend the home.

I am very pleased with the care my family members are getting. The staff are attentive to individual needs, staff always make you feel welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. If I ever ended up in a home myself, I would want to be somewhere like Colne House.

Colne House staff are exceptional because they act as if they are guests in the residents house and ensure the environment is kept homely and friendly. It was assuring to see how respectful and personable every staff member is towards the residents of the home. I chose Colne House for my mother as I was once a service provider (music sessions) and of all the homes I went into to deliver this service, not a single home came anywhere close to the high standards of care I have witnessed at Colne House. Residents, whatever stage of their condition, are loved and cared for as if they were the staff's own family. The warmth of the staff is clearly the culture of Colne House and must be highly prioritised within their training. This warmth is tangible and can be felt as I pass through the building to see my mother. My mother is in last stages of her dementia and bed bound yet I am eternally grateful and assured that she is in the best home she could possibly reside in.

Mum has dementia and has been at Colne House for 2 years. The staff have been wonderful with her, and I have been impressed by how personalised her care has been, adapting to her changing needs. Lots of care and attention is spent on making the home look lovely - the Christmas decorations are spectacular! Mum has had plenty of opportunities to join in activities including an outing today to the local garden centre coffee shop, which she loves! Colne House feels like a warm, friendly home rather than an institution. We have been very happy with mum's care there.

What can I say about this amazing home? Compassion. Empathy, caring nature from the whole team. I have been fortunate enough to meet and see the team in action. The manager is an amazing home manger and completely understands the residents and family needs. My mother in law is in a safe comfortable and loving environment. The staff are passionate about what they do. Thank you, what you do makes my wife feel comforted that her mum is being well cared for.

Excellent care given to my very old friend. Excellent staff showing incredible kindness, consideration and dignity. Excellent cleanliness at every visit. All in all excellent, by far the very best care home I have ever visited.

My aunt has been at Colne House for over a year and I'm extremely happy with the care she receives and the friendship of the staff towards her. I feel she is in safe and professional hands and is well looked after. The staff keep me fully informed and when I visit it doesn't feel like a care facility but a warm and welcoming home.

My mum has been a resident of Colne House since May 2024. The personal and individual support she receives from all the staff is second to none. The team is incredible - they genuinely care about every single resident. They plan really special events, which also involve the local community. The choice of activities is brilliant and always varied. The food is also amazing. All in all, it's an easy 10 out of 10! The Colne House team and management are simply the best - nothing is ever too much trouble. It's reassuring to know that my mum is being so well cared for by the wonderful staff, and in such beautiful accommodation and gardens.

My mum has been at Colne House for a year now. She has dementia and I have to say it was the best decision we made. The staff are very well led and the care given is outstanding. Staff are very kind and loving and if I ever need to move to a care home this is exactly the type I'd like to live in.

My mum has been a resident at Colne House for about 18 months now and is the happiest she's been for years. She settled in straight away and has never looked back. The guilt we all feel when we can no longer cope with looking after a relative is soon alleviated when you see how well they are looked after and the benefit of being with others, socialising, joining in activities and day trips organised by Colne House. The loneliness and isolation she felt when still in her own house, which manifested as anxiety and compulsive behaviour, are now a thing of the past. The staff are like one big family and all seem to go the extra mile to ensure the residents are happy and comfortable (as well as the visitors!). Mum has a dementia dog which never leaves her side; the staff all treat Tush as though he's a real dog too. Due to the dementia, my mum is not the same person she was, but she is happy, secure, well fed and content, an absolute joy to be with, since moving to Colne House.

My father in law has been at Colne House since August, and he is cared for so well. The staff are amazing and so kind nothing is ever to much. The home is absolutely spotless we are always made to feel extremely welcome when we visit and not only is it great to have my father in law so close, it's great to see all the other residents to. Having my father in law so well cared for has taken a huge strain off my wife who cared for her dad for a long time. She can now visit and just spend time with her dad and she loves all the staff and residents to, also one member of staff in particular makes great cup of coffee.

My father is 103 years old and has been in Colne House for almost 3 years. Despite his dementia and lack of mobility, the carers attempt to include him in many of the ongoing activities that they run each week. Each time we visit him, he is up and dressed and normally sitting in the common room, where he spends his day except for visits to the dining room to eat his meals. I cannot fault the care and attention that he gets every day. The staff really care and it shows through. I cannot imagine my father being in a better or more caring place than Colne House and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone that is seeking such a facility.

My mum moved here in July 2024, albeit reluctantly, she has been welcomed with open arms. The staff are so kind and obviously love their job as they all been there years. The home is clean, warmly decorated and so many staff on duty at any time. It's like a 5-star hotel. If I had to choose somewhere for me, this would be the place. Highly recommended.

I can't recommend this care home enough. If you are looking for a home in the area for your loved one then look no further. The staff are amazing, so attentive and caring. They treat their residents like they are their own family. The home itself is lovely, set on beautiful grounds. It has a really lovely homely feeling with a really nice welcoming atmosphere. I know that my nan is always very well looked after here. The meals which are offered are great, home is really clean and there are always activities taking place. The staff also take the residents out to various places, which is lovely. I only have positive things to say, it's an all round amazing care home.

My mother has been a resident of Colne House since January 2024. She always said that she never wanted to go into care and we were very concerned when it became increasingly evident that she could no longer cope at home. It has been a huge relief to know that she is safe and well looked after. She adapted to her new environment surprisingly quickly. The manager and staff are very caring and supportive. The home is welcoming and we are always offered a drink after the long drive to visit. Keep up the good work team.

Dad has been here for about three years now and I cannot fault the service he is receiving. I take comfort in knowing that he is being well looked after in a safe, friendly and happy environment. The food is all homemade and tastes great and there are many activities for him to get involved in, as well as day trips. The staff are all amazing and look after us at the same time. As dad can no longer live at home, this is definitely the next best alternative. Thank you.

If I could give 100 stars that still wouldn't be enough. Cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness to myself and my family as well as my aunt. They have gone above and beyond to ensure all her needs and wants were met. The home is always clean, tidy and welcoming, with a lovely homely feel. Staff and management are amazing and we really are so lucky to have their support and care. Cannot fault Colne House, can only give an outstanding recommendation. We really have been overwhelmed with their caring, kind and can do attitude. Thank you all.

Family member was admitted here whilst my in-laws were out of the country. She was so well looked after, she really enjoyed her time here and truly misses all the carers who were absolutely amazing. She loved it so much she thought she was spending time in a hotel.

My nan absolutely loved her stay, they were so kind, fun, and welcoming she felt so comfortable. I cannot thank the staff enough for giving my nan the best time. She felt safe and knew help was always at hand. Every time I visited she was singing and socialising it really was a blessing to see her so happy.
