View Full Details of Elizabeth HouseBeen visiting here for about eighteen months and have never seen or heard anything to complain about. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy, with clothes always washed, ironed and hung up immaculately. The staff are very friendly and helpful, in fact my friend who I visit sees the staff also as friends. I personally would say the home is more like a hotel, which says it all really.
Mum arrived in December 2023, distressed and scared. The carers made sure she was listened to and felt safe. The building is bright and airy, and the bedrooms are clean. Mum has Alzheimer's and is gradually declining. She is dressed, washed and fed well and feels confident in the carer's ability to understand her needs. The team always make sure birthdays and big events are celebrated by decorating the building beautifully. Overall, I am happy with the care mum is receiving at Elizabeth House
Happiness, contentment, and safety are just some of the requisites of good care which Elizabeth House nurtures in abundance. A fabulous place which has surpassed my expectations. It had a lovely staff, great facilities, and was so clean.
One member off staff excels whilst the others are a bit hit and miss more worried about what they are doing at weekend or after shift just want the pay check and don't really care about residents it took us as a family to tell staff mum had a uti made up excuses about getting urine sample and chasing up review off meds always have to rely on members off staff that excels to get anything done some members off staff are to young to understand elderly residents needs and concerns and I think the price increase is an absolute insult people don't earn that a week or a month.
My brother is very happy here. He is cared for very well, all the staff here are fantastic with him. My brother can be hard work. He is always treated with dignity and respect by all the staff and management at Elizabeth House. It is so clean and my brother loves his room, and he said its home from home. All his care needs are met. He loves the food here and I feel this is a wonderful home for him.
All staff are extremely courteous and polite and keep me informed of my mother's wellbeing and how she has been on days I have not visited. My mother appears very content and I can not fault any member of staff for the care and attention she receives, which is first rate.
My mum was a resident here for 2 years sadly she passed recently. During her time here she was very well looked after and the staff were amazing, particularly caring, and comforting at the time of her passing. Thank you all.
My auntie has been in Elizabeth House since September, the staff have been wonderful. Auntie is very happy and well cared for they interact with her all the time, and make sure she mixes with the other residents. Her room is always clean and tidy.
Our dad has Parkinson's and dementia and his health took a serious downturn. Staff were exceptional, keeping us informed of developments and what they were doing to help Dad be as comfortable as possible. Dad is now bed bound with little communication possible, but his face lights up when the carers enter his room and he smiles.
Very pleased with the care my mother is receiving in a very clean and welcoming environment.
My mother went to Elizabeth House for Respite Care. The care team, cleaners, and laundry staff all took time to make sure she was okay. Elizabeth House made us, as a family, very welcome and had lots of activities to keep the residents happy. The Care Manager and staff on the floor she was on were brilliant.
My wife has been at Elizabeth House for around 9 months. I was obviously unsure at first, what with your loved one going into a care home for the first time. However, I needn't have worried. From day one everything was very good, from the caring staff to the wholly inviting care home.
Looking after my dad is challenging these guys have been amazing. And don't know where I would be without their support and care - his carers especially are great with him - he loves them looking after him as his 1 to 1. They have built a special rapport and bond with him. I am beyond grateful for what they do and the other care home staff for him and know he is safe and well looked after by them all. I love the fact they take him out on trips which does wonders for his mental well-being.
I have found this care home to be friendly, caring, and a lovely home for the elderly living there. The staff are helpful to visitors as well as clients. A lovely bright and home-from-home feel about it.
I visited a friend and was so pleased to see a clean, safe environment. All the staff I met were friendly knew the residents well, and showed empathy and pride in the home. The resident was comfortable and happy. She talked about activities, events and the general surroundings also including meals and staff. A truly successful visit and I feel confident and happy about Elizabeth House.
I am extremely happy with the experience my mum had in Elizabeth House. The staff was very kind and understanding, and also very patient with Mum as she was very confused when she first moved in. When Mum became poorly the staff could not have acted faster to get her the help she needed. Overall I think Mum's experience was positive and happy. I would highly recommend Elizabeth House.
Would recommend this care home. The carer is always polite and helpful when getting Mum ready for us to take out. Mum has dementia and requires help getting dressed etc. The lady on reception is excellent. The lady in admin has been very helpful to us as a family. Thank you.
My husband has lived in Elizabeth House for the past year, as he has Dementia and I could no longer care for him at home. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are kept clean and residents are well cared for.
Mum moved into Elizabeth House in February 2022. Her mobility and dementia declined over time, and she sadly passed away on 2nd December 2023. You hear a lot about care homes, and generally, you only hear negative news as not a lot of people shout about the positive things. The facilities are always clean, Mum was looked after well and other than some minor gripes occasionally, the emotional and physical care that she received was amazing. What was absolutely exceptional was the team in ‘downstairs Poppy’, who, towards the end of Mum's time, were absolutely amazing. We could not fault the care and attention that they gave to Mum and also the support they gave to us as a family. We will never forget her last few days and how wonderfully peaceful they were made for her. The loss was clearly evident on her carer's faces too; they made time at the end of every shift to come in and see how she was and also wanted some time with her when she passed to say their goodbyes. Thank you.
Dad is now 101 and resident 16 months. Elizabeth House is warm, welcoming, caring, fresh and clean. Lots of activities and a cheerful, friendly staff, always ready to listen. food good and a wide choice. Highly recommended.
