View Full Details of Evelyn May HouseMy dad moved into your home from hospital and was sadly only here for 2 weeks before going into hospital where he died. Due to holiday commitments, I only visited your home on the first evening but the staff were very friendly accommodating helpful and professional. My brother found it exactly the same on subsequent visits. Upon arrival my first impression other than clean and orderly, with a warm and kind atmosphere, with happy residents and visible staff presence as I passed through the corridors. The manager and her team were equally helpful and empathetic when we returned to collect my dad's belongs which they had packed beautifully with an inventory. Thank you for your genuine care and support for my dad and us too. I witnessed a great interaction between staff and residents and family.
Great comfort for our family to know that he is being looked after so well.
My mum came here in March 2024. Every time I have been, the experience has been excellent. I cannot fault anything. The food is clean, and the staff are very good.
My dad's stay with you was sadly short lived, as he passed after two weeks. From my visits to Evelyn May House I witnessed genuine care towards residents. There was a good level of staffing present, and effort made to build rapport often in difficult circumstances. The staff and managers always had time to talk to me, provide updates, and always up to date so communication was good. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Flexibility in service and care was evident.
Lovely friendly staff, kind, caring and welcoming. A warm welcoming home for residents. All the staff are very helpful when approached. Five stars all round.
I am delighted that my elderly mother is in Evelyn May House. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they make an effort to engage with all the residents. The home is always clean and bright and feels a safe haven for the residents.
Very pleased with every aspect of Evelyn May House. All the staff are kind and helpful. Security is very good. They couldn't do more to make you happy. Please keep doing what you do.
The staff and managment are excellent they take care of my nan. The home has just been refurbished and is looking amazing. She loves the days they take her out and the activities they put on at the home. She gets her hair done by the hairdresser on site once a week too. She loves the staff so much and they treat her like family which is more than we could ask for.
I moved mum into this care home this week and the care, empathy and kindness we have both received has been unrivalled. There had been a waiting list and the management team kept me informed and reassured. I have every confidence in the staff and carers here and know that my mum is in the best hands.
The improvements to the home are fantastic. The second-floor lounge has made such a difference. The staff are fantastic. Two ladies going above and beyond the care of the patients. Nothing is too much trouble for reception staff. My Mum is happy and cared for well.
Excellent service from everyone from top to bottom. Mum is getting excellent service - no complaints with anyone.
I was sent from the hospital to this care home and was allowed to stay there for a couple of weeks. These two weeks turned out to be one of the finest breaks I have had. The staff (all) and the facilities were second to none. Well done and lots of love to all concerned.
Cannot express my gratitude to the staff and management for the care and support given to my wife on her return from hospital. I honestly thought I had lost her in hospital but she has made a remarkable recovery. Not there yet but well on the way.
The staff are wonderful and very hardworking. It has been a pleasure to stay here. I was bedbound for a long time and always treated with dignity during changing and bed baths. Very professional people.
We found the home very clean and well-maintained. Friendly, competent staff and a high level of care. The food looked to be of good quality and although the person in care was unable to join in activities there was a lot to offer.
My husband has been staying at Evelyn May for 2 weeks while work was being done at home. Arrangements for his stay were made easily and stress-free thanks to the home manager. He had a lovely room, comfortable and clean. The staff have been kind and considerate and ensured my husband's comfort and safety. He always had someone to help him move around. He was well-fed and enjoyed most meals. I would not hesitate in recommending Evelyn May and will ask them to care for my husband again should we need help. Thank you to every member of staff.
My dad is on two weeks respite and the home and staff are fantastic. He has settled really well and is being very well cared for. Thank you.
My sister started living at Evelyn May House in December 2023. She was confused and disoriented when admitted and felt very vulnerable, often hallucinating. I would say her improvement was almost immediate! This is due to the very genuine care and attention shown by all the staff working there. My sister has been made to feel safe and secure in her surroundings and valued as a person, not just another old person. She is now fully settled in her new home. Her hallucinations have ceased and she is looking the happiest and healthiest that I have seen her in a very long time. The services provided are excellent too, with her having her hair done weekly, and doctor, dentist and chiropodist visits when needed without a wait. When I've visited the staff are always happy and smiling and make an effort to chat and make you feel welcome. This is a very happy environment. All I can say is the biggest thank you to all the staff. I think you have literally saved my sister's life. Thank you.
The staff are friendly and welcoming mum has settled in well which has left me feeling reassured that she is happy and safe.
My mother-in-law was admitted to Evelyn May House in December 2023. She was very confused and hallucinating. Immediately she arrived, she calmed down and became herself again. This was in no small measure to the care she had. All the staff were lovely and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and she began to feel safe and cared for. Recently, she had a fall, and the staff coordinated her medical needs efficiently, taking the worry away from us.
