My mum has settled in very well at The Grange. She keeps busy with lots of activities daily. She particularly enjoys the choir practice and the crafts. There are always activities in the mornings and afternoons, so never a chance to be bored.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the excellent care they gave my husband. It is a well-run care home, very clean and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone thinking of respite care or as a full-time care home. Staff are amazing.
My husband was at The Grange, first time away from home. The staff really put our minds at rest, made us very welcome and the two weeks he was there was very happy. I had lots of contact with the home. We have no hesitation in recommending to anyone else.
The Grange is a superb care home. Lovely staff and management. The place is freshly decorated, safe rooms, corridors, always clean. Moving Mum here was a great decision.
The Grange is a caring, friendly and homely place. My aunt has been there for a while, on respite. They have looked after her very well and she is regaining her confidence. The staff are all extremely helpful and always cheerful.
The overall experience of the care home is good. The food is varied and usually good. The only frustration at times is if an item is identified as being of benefit to my wife I normally have to source this myself e.g. a V pillow. Most of the staff are caring as is the manager and we often chat about the ongoing needs of my wife.
My mother only spent a short time at The Grange Care Home before passing away. She received kind, personal care during that time and the management and carers went out of their way to advise and help the close family.
My mother entered The Grange for respite after breaking her arm at the age of 92 but ended up staying for almost 5 months. From the first day and every day of her stay, every single member of staff displayed the utmost kindness and consideration towards her. They couldn't do enough to make her stay as pleasant as possible. We were able to visit at any time and there were lots of activities going on, outside visits and shows at the home. My mother is now fully recovered and back in her own home, but I would thoroughly recommend The Grange to anyone considering a care home for a relative.
My mother has been in The Grange for 16 months. The management and staff are excellent and keep me informed of any problems and issues with Mum. All staff are very helpful and very approachable and if they can help they will, without any hesitation. My mum is very settled in The Grange and was very happy to return there after a short spell in hospital, so that was a very good sign of how good The Grange is. Thank you to all.
We looked at 5 Runwood homes before choosing The Grange where our father is now a resident. It really stood out when shown around by the young professional manageress, the friendliness, warmth and caring approach which is reflected in the staff. The decor throughout is lovely, bright and clean. As far as communication, although when we have asked verbally information is forthcoming, but we have never received anything in writing or email... no welcome letter, care plan or what medication was prescribed.
I’m pleasantly surprised at the care the residents get from everyone at The Grange. The home is spotless whenever l go there. The resident's rooms are well furnished and have everything that they need. I’ve been there a lunchtime and the food is amazing and caters for everyone’s needs. Always tea and coffee on the go and varied fruit juices also. The activities on the board are for everyone to enjoy and participate in. I can only say my mum is catered for in every way possible. 10/10.
Totally satisfied with The Grange. The hard working staff and admin are wonderful people. Excellent food and cleanliness of the whole place. I visit every day and really enjoy the hard working staffs positive and happy approach.
My only negative would be the size of the lounge.
My mum has been in The Grange since 2019, and after viewing all the care homes in the area, this was the best one. Spotlessly clean from the moment you walk through the door, rooms are immaculate and always smell nice. The food is really good - variety - lots of it too. The staff are always lovely - nothing is too much to ask them - give us updates on Mum when visit. I would highly recommend The Grange for your loved ones to be cared for.
On a friend's recommendation, we visited The Grange and found it welcoming and the staff we met were very helpful in answering all our questions in a very professional manner. We felt confident the home and the staff could meet my cousin's needs. My cousin has been in the home since last February and since then she has thrived with the help of the staff she is walking short distances and eating better. She feels safe and gets on well with the staff.
Having Mum in this care home is a wonderful thing. I looked at many care home for Mum with the idea of, if I didn't want to stay there, then I wouldn't let Mum stay there. As soon as I walked in the door and spoke to the staff, I knew The Grange was where I wanted Mum to stay and be looked after. Having looked after Mum for many years, it had left me with depression and feeling low, but every time I visit The Grange, I feel happy. The staff are so cheerful. Mum couldn't be in a better place.
My mum moved into the Grange in January 2023, and from the very first day, she has been treated very well, with the management and the staff going above and beyond to make her feel welcomed, supported and cared for. The home is always clean and welcoming, and the lovely rear garden provides a nice area for the residents to enjoy the sunny weather. The staff are the key to the success of this home, and everyone that I speak to knows my mum and understands her needs and funny ways. This has given me great comfort knowing that Mum is well cared for.
Warm, friendly and welcoming. All the staff are polite and helpful at all times. The home itself is very clean and accommodating.
Dad has been a resident for more than 6 years at The Grange. After a few ups and downs, we were delighted when a new manager took over in January 2021. She has made a very positive difference to the home and to Dad. She is very skilled and organised and has made an effort to get to know all the residents from day one. She has kept in touch with relatives, which we appreciate. Dad is very deaf, and the manager has put in place many things to assist Dad that we have asked for in the past. Communication is the key and we have had issues with this in the past, but no longer. She has addressed all our issues and we know Dad is well looked after. Thank you.
It has been a difficult time for everyone, but the staff have gone above and beyond for us as a family concerning my mum. The ladies are all so friendly and are great with Mum too. The home is lovely and is always so clean and fresh. I have no concerns with how my mum is cared for and would not hesitate in recommending The Grange.
