View Full Details of Hollyveer HouseThe staff is fabulous, very caring and friendly to all families and residents. My father is very happy here and all his care needs are met with a smile! Nothing is too much trouble for the team. My father enjoys the food and looks forward to his cooked breakfast every morning. He loves sitting in the gardens on the beautiful garden furniture. I can honestly say that my father is very happy.
Mum has really deteriorated in the last few months, but the care and dedication of the staff have been amazing. They have kept me fully informed of everything with regard to Mum's care and needs. Mym is always treated with the utmost dignity and respect.
All the staff are friendly and very helpful. They treat Mum with care and respect. She is fed, showered and dressed with all her needs catered for. It is of great comfort to know Mum has 24-hour care and assistance from people who cheerfully and with patience make sure she is safe and well.
My dad has been at Hope Green for around a year and a half now and in this time his overall health and mobility have vastly improved. He enjoys the food and is well looked after. Staff are always happy when I visit and the home has a lovely atmosphere with nice bright wide corridors and everyone in the home is always very inviting when we arrive.
I'm really pleased with the care and attention my parents are receiving. It is a very happy place and enjoy our visits. Staff very friendly.
Fantastic care and support to both my nan and grandad. They both are happy and well looked after and are treated with dignity by the staff. I am very grateful fir all they do for my grandparents.
I properly should have written a review when my mum first become a resident at the home in March 2023. Like most family when considering care for your loved one it is a really difficult decision and one which gives many sleepless nights as, of course, you only want the best for them. I have found the home very supportive when dealing with Mum and us as a family. They have always taken the time to ensure that we are reassured and things are explained (however many times we ask) in a way which is respectful. This goes from the management, senior care, administration, care staff, ancillary, catering and activities, in fact, everyone. I think it is very important to remember to give it time, the staff have to get to know not just your loved one but you. You have to be realistic with your expectations (clothes will go missing) and this takes time. Mum has settled very well, she is happy and safe which is the main thing.
Staff are good, respectful, considerate and open to comments. Beds are often unmade or badly made. Resident cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Often I have had to do this myself whilst visiting. Activities to stimulate the mind is fairly non existent. Items of clothing have gone missing and I often find clothing in drawers or wardrobe that are not hers. Morning coffee/tea is sporadic, although water is always available. The garden is more like a forest.
I have found the home and staff to be fabulous at dealing with my Dad with his difficulties they have been patient and helpful at all times.
Disgusting home, filthy room. Feed my dad from the floor, no table. Dirty pads just left on the side. Food I bring in is pinched. Staff don't really care at all. Total waste of money. I'm sure you won't be contacting me.
My husband went into Hope Green Care Home due to me going into hospital from all. From all visits taken place he was always happy the carers seemed to look after him very well and my husband didn't complain once. He has a nut allergy which they take seriously with his food. Overall, although my husband wanted to come home, he would have been quite happy to stay another week if nescecary.
At first, I was content knowing my mother was cared for, however now I'm worried all the time, to the point of having bad dreams about her welfare. Every time I visit she is wet through and generally with a dirty pad also. I keep an eye on her toothpaste and it hasn't been touched in months, these are basic needs not being done. You may ask why don't you move her somewhere else, but I'm afraid elsewhere could be even worse.
My mum was a resident in Hopes Green Care Home for a few years. I now visit my friend each week. I have always found all the people who work at Hopes Green Care Home lovely, caring and polite to all. They all do an amazing job in making so many peoples lives in their care comfortable and happy. Everyone is so helpful and cheerful. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
My mum has been in this care home for many years. She is so happy there and the care she gets from all the staff working there is first class. The staff are not just looked at as carers, but as friends to my mum too. I myself could not be happier with the care and treatment she gets. The manager and her team in the office also so very helpful and keep me up to date by phone when they need to speak to me. You hear so many horror stories about some care homes in the news years passed. But this care home is the best. I would recommend Hopes Green to anyone looking for a caring thoughtful home for a loved one, knowing the care and treatment that they would get is the best.
I know 100% that my Nan is receiving the best care during this time. Whilst it’s been hard not being able to visit we are able to see what she has been up to with the staff. The staff have worked really hard to keep us updated and ensure that the residents are having plenty of activities to do should they wish. (I know my Nan doesn’t always want to join in) however, if she doesn’t go into the lounge she doesn’t miss out because the staff come round to their rooms as well. Every picture I have seen of my Nan during this period she looks lovely, hair is immaculate and dressed nicely and she has her cheeky grin which tells me that she is enjoying her time with the staff. I know that the office staff are in contact with my Mum to give updates and my Mum has received two lovely cards that my Nan has made to let her know that she is okay. Thank you for putting your own lives at risk without question to care for my Nan so well.
Management based downstairs don't seem to have any idea what's happening upstairs. I feel that some staff don't always tell the truth. I feel that the dementia residents upstairs aren't treated as well as the residents downstairs.
The staff do the best they can, given what they have to do.
My aunt has received great care and compassion since moving in earlier this year. In my experience, the staff give excellent care and go far beyond in giving residents a fun and varied environment with various activities taking place on a regular basis.
I have seen my mother (with dementia) bloom over the past year she has been a resident. The staff and helpers are wonderful. I am kept up to date with events going on, accompanied by photos. Mum seems to enjoy the entertainment and also the numerous crafts. I would definitely recommend this care home.
I visit the Home once a month and there is always a relaxed happy atmosphere. My friend is well looked after. I like the way that the residents have freedom to roam (obviously within safety limits) and don't feel restricted. The Home is always clean and welcoming.
