View Full Details of Stambridge MeadowsI cannot thank the staff of Stambridge Meadows enough for their help and support transitioning my 95 year old dad from caring for himself, with my and my husbands help, into the amazing care he's receiving. They suggested a two week respite care to begin with - then dad could make his own mind up whether to stay or go home to live in carers. He has chosen to stay - everyone is so helpful and the staff from top to bottom are a delight - always smiling. It has one happy vibe and they care about the relatives too. Dad says I get the luxury car treatment.
Mum was in Stambridge Meadows for about three years and we can't praise it highly enough. We lost mum recently and she couldn't have been cared for the better in her last years. Many many thanks
Excellent care.
I am very pleased with the care my mum receives from the staff and manager, all of whom maintain a friendly, welcoming, and professional approach. I have found them very accommodating regarding my mum's needs and welfare. The home has a nice comfortable vibe and is clean and tidy. The food always looks and smells really nice, and mealtimes are treated as a really pleasant social gathering in the restaurant-style dining room. There are two dedicated activity coordinators, who organise various different activities each week, which take place either in the main lounge or the smaller activities room. There are armchairs dotted about in lots of little areas to sit and have a chat or just admire the countryside views. My mum's room is comfortable and serves as a quiet retreat for her if she wants. It gives me great peace of mind knowing that my mum is in safe hands, but most importantly my mum is happy.
What a lovely place, run by an excellent team. I can see they work hard at making the residents, my mum included, feel very well looked after and relaxed. It's got a very nice atmosphere and I feel totally comfortable with my mum living here.
My brother and I cannot praise this care home highly enough. The care, kindness and attention paid to our mother was second to none as was the support they gave us throughout her stay and passing. We cannot thank all the staff enough.
Stambridge Meadows has really gone downhill since it was taken over. The management and staff are still as excellent as ever but there is not enough of them. The activities for residents are virtually non-existent, no minibus now. You pride yourself on the beautiful grounds and residents are shut indoors due to lack of staff. There are no family areas now to sit with our relatives. The home, in my opinion, is now just a money-making business, such a shame.
Very helpful and polite, always got time for residents and family, nothing is too much trouble and always put Dad's needs first, such a lovely location, plenty of garden, so peaceful and chilled.
My husband was in Stambridge Meadows for two weeks and he was very happy. The staff and management were absolutely brilliant. Thank you to the manager and staff for all their help and support. Also thank you to all staff members.
Lovely, caring staff nothing too much trouble. We were not sure about putting Mum in residential even though her dementia had got to the stage she wasn't able to live alone. Mum has quality of life back thanks to the amazing staff/managers. The food and the rooms are lovely. Such lovely surroundings and such a joy to visit a happy mum. The big smile and the feeling she is settled is lovely to see. Highly recommend Stambridge Meadows. Thank you to the team.
Treat my mother in law with dignity kindness and respect. They painted her nails and got her ready for a wedding recently, what more can you ask for. We feel, she is well cared for and that both her and our wishes are taken into account. They're welcoming to the private physio we use and provide access to chiropody and other health care professionals.
Care home that doesn’t care, Avoid! Can’t list the whole catalogue of errors due to the word limit. The ‘care’ they provided to Mum was appalling. She went in physically fit and strong and within 2 weeks in the home had declined beyond recognition. They told me they didn’t have the resources to meet needs. They couldn’t even get her name on the door right, though asked 3 times. I rang 999 because she had deteriorated so badly and hadn’t even though asked to, I told Senior to expect an ambulance and got abuse. When the ambulance called them for triage she said no cause for concern so the ambulance was cancelled. Within week she died! Lots of agency staff and Mum feared them. I have raised a formal complaint. After her death, the reaction from staff was appalling. They literally turned their backs on us as we went to our dead mother. Never even heard from the Manager, disgusting! When we went to the home she scurried into the office and shut the door. We will never get Mum back. They seem to only want people that can care for themselves.
Dad has been living at Stambridge Meadows for over a year now. He is very well looked after, there are lots of activities on offer, of which he occasionally takes part if he fancies it. The staff are all lovely and care for all his needs. The place has a warm and friendly atmosphere. And most importantly Dad is content.
My family have peace of mind knowing our mum is so well looked after and happy at Stambridge Meadows. All the staff really care and are very friendly. There is a lovely, homely feel which makes the world of difference to Mum, as she has dementia and to feel safe is so important.
My mum arrived at Stambridge Meadows in August 2021, she was very poorly, bed-bound and required a lot of support. It was a very difficult time due to the pandemic however, as a family we feel Mum would not be alive if it hadn't been for the care and support shown by all members of staff. Stambridge Meadows has care in its heart of everything it does and this shows because my mum is happy relaxed and wants to call it her home. We as a family can not thank all the staff enough for their hard work and dedication.
My mum has been a resident at Stambridge Meadows for over a year and I am so happy we found this lovely assisted living home. So many positive things to say about this place, it's hard to know where to start! My mum likes to be as independent as she can and the staff support her to meet her potential and the plan for her care is reviewed regularly. The staff are the best asset of Stambridge Meadows; always kind, caring and friendly, but professional. Nothing is too much trouble. With all the excellent services and facilities on offer, from freshly prepared meals, activities/entertainment, laundry service, housekeeping and etc. my mum is able to enjoy her days without worrying and I am able to relax knowing Mum is well looked after. Another big bonus is there are no visiting time restrictions and lots of parking space too! All of the Stambridge Meadows team should be very proud of the lovely, warm, happy, friendly and safe environment they have created for the residents. Well done!
Mum has tried quite a few homes over the years but loves this one. So much so that she has decided to make this her permanent home. The staff, especially one member, are lovely, and Mum feels safe. They could improve the service by having more entertainment, i.e. exercise classes/crafting. Generally, I love the place, and Mum is happy, so it's a win-win for me.
The staff are friendly, helpful, professional and caring, they always have time for questions and keep us informed. The Home has good facilities and is in very good order, the grounds are very well kept with views over surrounding fields. My Brother and I have no worries or concerns for the care of our mother.
My mother has been at Stambridge Meadows Care Home since December 2019, and she is very happy there. Her care and support are second to none. The staff are very friendly and caring. I am happy she is being looked after.
My Sister and I chose this care home for our Mother after seeing the excellent reviews on here and visiting the care home. Our Mother was 'cared for' for 8 months and the experience left a lot to be desired. On several occasions, we considered moving Mother to another care home but she was very weak and had become comfortable with her surroundings. The care staff at Stambridge Meadows are working under very difficult circumstances, they appear to be thin on the ground, understaffed, and stretched to the limit. A couple of staff members are outstanding, competent, personable, caring and were a pleasure to meet. There was little or no evidence of activities for the residents, we visited often when allowed. The office staff and management leave a lot to be desired. Our Mother passed away in August 2022, and we have had no contact from the Care Home Manager offering her condolences. Think carefully before you choose this care home. It's expensive and badly managed.
