View Full Details of Larchwood Care HomeJust a note about our pie and mash visit with Dad recently, my sisters and I were very pleased and impressed with the facilities and staff, thanks very much for this and also for looking after Dad. It has been a year since my dad joined the home and in this first year we have all found him improving steadily, he's more the happy-go-lucky person he has always been so once again thank you. Hoping you have a lovely Xmas.
Care at Larchwood has been excellent, the staff and carers always have a friendly smile and go the extra mile to make everyone feel at home. Nothing is ever too much trouble in what can be difficult times. My husband settled in from day one and I am happy he is in capable hands. The food is amazing and caters for all needs. Any problems are quickly resolved. Great respect for all the staff, service is always very good. I would recommend the home.
My husband is in Larchwood and I cannot express enough. The kindness of all staff towards him. He is looked after with dignity and love. He loves his new home and is very delicious. Me and my family thank you all.
My dad was poorly and when hospital and respite in a care home he wasn't looking forward to it but the Larchwood care team made him at home and safe. He didn't want to come home which made it easier for us when the decision had to be made. The whole team go above and beyond the call of duty and nothing is too much trouble. He has new teeth which he has wanted for years and Larchwood has so many things, that they sort everything out. I would be at a total loss without Larchwood and the management team as always there to help in any way.
We came to see the country and western singer on the 22nd of August. We had a fantastic time. The weather wasn't good but the staff were great organising the event inside. All the residents were enjoying the music and good food. Again we had a great day.
My sister-in-law has been at Larchwood for just one year. I can thoroughly recommend the care home. The facilities are good and the staff are welcoming and pleasant. My relative is well cared for and I have no problem recommending them. My relative is very happy in the facility as are we with the overall care that she receives, a five-star facility.
Just a word of thanks to the management and staff of Larchwood, I appreciate all the help, care and understanding they are giving to my sister, God Bless you all.
Since the new management has taken over the home has changed so much for the better. It's clean and tidier. The rubbish has all been cleared and the garden refurbished. The rooms look homely. The staff seem happy and really care about my mum. Her eyes light up when they walk in her room. Thank you for looking after her.
The staff are exceptional in their care given to the people in the home and so welcoming to visitors. We have noticed the change in the last few months and could not be happier with the care they are providing for my relative.
My mother was sent to Larchwood Care Home from the hospital. She was greeted like an old friend, which made me both surprised and extremely happy and my mother therefore settled in extremely well. She is happy and loves the staff who in turn show nothing but kindness to her. Everyone is encouraged to socialise which is a lovely thing to see.
The staff at Larchwood are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble and they do everything they can for the residents. Mum is always clean and tidy, she's eating really well and has settled in quickly. My dad was previously in Larchwood until he passed away last year so we already knew what a great care home it is, and it was good to see nothing has changed, it's still a great place with great staff.
Mum came to the home in February 2022 - she had dementia and we could no longer care for her at home. After a difficult couple of weeks finding her feet, Mum soon settled in, we found staff to be kind, caring and attended to all Mum's needs. She had a lovely well kept room with doors to a lovely garden. She enjoyed the food and even though wheelchair-bound at the end, she enjoyed the activities with the lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble, it was her home.
I think my husband is being well looked after. Staff are lovely and cheerful and will answer any questions you have regarding my husband. Food is great.
My wife has been a resident of Larchwood Care Home since November 2021 after being diagnosed with Dementia. Like all family relations who experience this upset in life I had doubts about my wife being able to settle into a new life with total strangers. Within a very short time of her arrival, It was very clear to me she had settled in extremely well and was very happy. It was obvious to me she was receiving all the professional help needed from in-house care and office staff. I am kept up to date on all events concerning my wife via e-mails and mobile text from the various office staff who show a great deal of concern and professionalism in their everyday duties. Apart from the Covid lockdown, I know visiting my wife is never a problem. I have on occasion visited the home unannounced but have always been warmly greeted by office staff and been given an opportunity to visit my wife. There is one concern I have which I understand is a common problem in all care homes. The clothing for each resident is completely mixed up when items are laundered. When visiting my wife she will always be wearing some other person's clothes even new clothing I provide which can be expensive.
My mother has been at Larchwood Care Home for approximately eight months. During this time I have only ever seen her treated with dignity and friendship. She feels happy and has many people to talk to. Her condition does leave her confused and muddled but the staff at Larchwood help and aid her. Overall we are extremely happy with Larchwood.
The staff have all been absolutely fantastic. Really helpful, knowledgeable, kind and friendly. Mum has settled in very quickly and has enjoyed the activities. I am really happy that Mum can stay with you.
My experience of Larchwood with my mother has been very good. She is happy here, and we are pleased with her care, the carers and staff are very friendly and helpful. Apart from that, we are very thankful for all you do for my mum, she is very quiet, but takes everything in, a wonderful and loving mum.
The staff at Larchwood Care Home are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother-in-law was always worried she would be lonely. She is always talking to somebody when we visit. We are grateful that she is safe and being looked after.
My stepmother has been in the care home since August 2022. We are very happy with the care that's been provided for her. The staff are always polite and friendly to visitors. She eats well and is always clean and tidy and we often ask her if she is happy here and she always says that she is, and you are all lovely souls.
The level of care Dad receives is outstanding. The staff all love him, genuinely care for him and treat him with absolute respect and dignity. My brother and I manage our lives so that one of us is not far from Dad. We have just had a rare holiday together and were able to go away with the knowledge that Dad was in excellent hands. We were so pleased to find that Dad had been on an outing while we were away and thoroughly enjoyed it. We can't thank you enough for all you do for Dad and us.
