My Mum has been living in the lodge for 2 years due to suffering from Vascular dementia and health problems. She is cared for with kindness and compassion. All the staff including kitchen ladies, cleaners, carers and management are all genuinely kind and loving towards the residents and I have witnessed exemplary care and nursing skills. The manager and deputy respond immediately to any concerns or requests and do their utmost to help. They always show such knowledge of my Mums needs and problems and they call the Dr/ nurse/ paramedic quickly for any health issues. Visitors are made to feel so welcome and the door is always opened with a smile. Having your loved one in a care home is the hardest and saddest situation but the Lodge gives you peace of mind that they are looked after in your absence.
My dad has only been at this care home for a couple of weeks but even in a short while I can see the care and support from all of the staff from the managers to the cleaners they are so supportive to the residents and family. Nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The home is very clean and inviting. I feel at ease knowing dad is always clean, well fed and above all safe at all times, it's not easy to put your parent/s into care but everyone at The Lodge makes is alot easier.
The home is welcoming and friendly on arrival. There is usually some activity taking place which the residents really enjoy and take part in. Visitors are welcomed and can see their relatives in the lounge or bedroom. Staff very helpful in managing this.
My mother-in-law has been a Resident of The Lodge for nearly 2 years now and my husband and I are so pleased that we chose this residential care home, in preference to any other because of the care, kindness and individual support that she has been given to all her needs in the entire time of her stay. My husband's mother is very happy and content there, she enjoys the company and very much enjoys the food. I personally would recommend this home to anyone looking to have a relative cared for because the staff are so kind and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and their involvement between themselves and us, (as relatives), is continuous to help keep on top of any concerns that we might have. (Nothing is too much trouble). The location of The Lodge is very pleasant, the rooms are very clean and well kept and the food freshly cooked is outstanding. We would definitely both recommend The Lodge as a good home to be considered for your relative!
We are utterly delighted with the care at The Lodge in Maldon. I'm one of 3 children, who've been helping our parents live in their own home as long as they can. This Autumn, it became impossible for them to stay in their home, after a series of falls/loneliness. The team at The Lodge were super-approachable, and super kind, and the welcome my Parents received was so lovely and so welcoming, that within 30 minutes of arriving, my Parents were both settling in and happy. Even my Mother, who had been resistant to a move, felt that it was a lovely place to be. 100% of the staff I have met at The Lodge are lovely, and all seem to truly care; knowing the individual characteristics, hopes, fears, and goals, even for those patients who struggle to make their views known. I have been quite "blown away" by the kindness and empathy shown to both my Parents, and really cannot find words to thank the staff there. Food is delicious, carers are lovely, and welcoming - what more could you want!
Considering we called the day before Christmas eve, The Lodge was very accommodating. The staff are all so lovely and kind. The place is lovely and clean but I honestly can't fault how amazing the staff are. Thank you so much for all your help.
The management and staff at The Lodge have shown excellent care and support for my father ever since he arrived at the care home but especially during Oct and Nov this year, which marked the first anniversary since his wife, my mum, passed away. They have also made many adjustments to enable closer monitoring of Dad as he is at risk of falling if he tries to mobilise unaided. Furthermore, the advice and guidance provided by the manager, as regards dealing with Social Services, has been invaluable. As the home has a small number of residents, each of the carers has a sound and respectful approach to the care of each resident.
This care home is lovely. It's homely and smells so clean and fresh. In a lovely part of town with fields as a view. The manager, and all the staff I met were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely caring about the residents.
Dad took up residence at the start of June, 2024. We've been really impressed the professionalism of the staff and are grateful for their compassion whilst looking after Dad. We would recommend anyone looking for a care home to consider The Lodge.
My mother was sent here for six weeks of respite, and I am hoping it will become permanent. Although the building is in need of updating, the care she receives is excellent. The carers are very attentive, and she is being very well looked after. She is happy there, and I appreciate that the owners are new and it will take a while to implement their changes. The food is lovely.
Friendly staff, my mother is well looked after, good amount of staff involvement with residents and good activities arranged. The home is always clean and tidy when I have visited. Always keep updated by manager and staff.
I've found everyone here from management to the cleaners very good at their jobs, they treat the residents with the respect and dignity that they deserve! The food always smells and looks nice which is a real bonus!
The staff are friendly and always make you feel welcome, nothing is ever too much trouble. It is always clean and tidy. We like that it is a small home and has a nice feel to the place and the staff have time for the residents. There is also good communication between family members and management.
Fantastic care home. They are caring and look after my dad and other residents very well. They are always doing events to make it exciting and fun for the residents. I highly recommend this wonderful care home.
Love the home and staff are very accommodating and not too big so feels like one big family... Dad is very happy there and nothing is too much trouble for the staff... feel very lucky to have found this home for Dad.
I feel that the staff are always welcoming and helpful. The home always smells clean and tidy. I also feel that nothing is too much for all staff. They really go over and above. The manager runs the home very well.
The Lodge is a wonderful and caring environment and we have been really pleased with the support given to my father. Staff are kind and friendly both to residents and family members. They have a good routine and nothing is too much trouble. They liaise well with family and health professionals. They are compassionate and make sure they know what residents like. The manager is approachable and keeps me well-informed. The food seems good and the rooms are clean. Activities are organised for residents with regular visits from others like support dogs and local preschools. Residents can choose what they take part in. I would certainly recommend The Lodge.
Mum has had her Alzheimer's diagnosis for 10 years now, so she unfortunately is definitely in the later stages of dementia. All the staff are so kind and patient with her. It's always clean. The food is varied, tasty and plentiful. The Lodge also work very hard to organise all sorts of events to keep the residents as stimulated as possible. Our family are thankful that The Lodge had a room when it became obvious that Mum needed to be in a full-time care situation. It has such a lovely, warm, friendly vibe. We are very pleased with Mum's care.
Every time I've visited my mum the staff have always been very helpful. The staff are very quick to reply to any queries I may have. Looking forward to visiting my mum again in the next couple of weeks.
Have never met such a welcoming team. Carers are exceptional with a very clean environment. Well looked after with a manager who beyond doubt cares about her job and the residents and is always available.
