View Full Details of The LodgeI was invited to a Valentine's Tea Party at The Lodge yesterday. Mum and I had such a lovely time and it was so nice to see how much effort the staff had made to ensure both residents and visitors enjoyed themselves. What a thoughtful gesture to give all the lady residents a red rose and the gents some biscuits. Mum is 101 now and I shall always treasure these happy times I spend with her, knowing she is content and so well looked after, thanks to the very caring staff at The Lodge.
I could not be more pleased with the care my aunt had in The Lodge Care Home. I thank all the staff for all they did to make her end of life the best it could be.
Wonderful garden party BBQ for residents and family. The staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and looked after. The staff at The Lodge are amazing and care for the residents like their own family. There is always a wonderful atmosphere at The Lodge, nothing is too much trouble no matter how small. The staff are always smiling and are a great team and care so so much. Thank you for all your love and support for my friend and us.
It's a joy to be able to review The Lodge and share how lovely the home is. There is always a happy atmosphere whenever I visit. Mum is always smiling and there is always something going on, a visiting entertainer or Bingo, or a Birthday party - Mum loved karaoke! Mum is very happy and that makes me happy. The home, the staff and the activities are all the best!
Always a pleasure to enter The Lodge, a lovely atmosphere, the staff always happy and smiling, nothing is too much trouble. The residents are all treated with respect and kindness!
As per ratings, excellent facilities. Staff that take great care fo the residents by treating them with kindness and dignity. Always entertaining them when they can.
All staff are friendly and caring and my mother appears to be comfortable and happy which is all I could hope for. Many thanks to everyone involved. Keep up the good work, it is highly appreciated.
Fantastic staff, giving my mum wonderful care and keeping her spirits good. Food is really good and they make a lot of fun so very happy. Mum lives here at The Lodge!
My friend is very happy in this home he has been here over a year and he said it is just like being at home. He joins in a lot of games and keeps fit. He likes to colour in adult colouring books, it keeps his mind active.
Very helpful staff who care so much for the residents. Very clean rooms, first class. All good no down points. Only negative point is the background music doesn't relate to the age of the residents. It should be more in line with the age of the residents.
As a visitor, if I had to go in care The Lodge would be at the top of my list, as you can see top marks in all sections, well decorated and welcoming staff. Hope they keep up the good work.
Mum, aged 97, was an occasional resident at The Lodge for four years (respite stays). She became a full-time resident in November 2023 on discharge from hospital after treatment for a broken hip. Her care since November has been exemplary with the staff displaying kindness, care and patience towards her. Medical issues have been handled in cooperation with the community nurse and she is carefully monitored for any signs of problems
Residents seem well looked after - my friend certainly is. She always comments on how good the food, activities and staff are. The decor is bright and inviting. Always offered tea/coffee plus biscuits. They celebrate all events with lovely decorations and food.
Lovely clean, warm care home with some very caring staff. My mother was welcomed straight from the hospital and looked after very well with gentleness and understanding.
My father is 97 with dementia and despite private carers when at home he refused point blank for 6 years to shower or go outside, so spent all his time sitting in his chair staring at the TV. The difference in my father is startling due to being at The Lodge. The level of care extended to him is faultless. He is clean, showers regularly, is groomed by the carers and has his nails and hair cut. Clothes are clean and fresh and smell fresh. 3 meals a day cooked by the chef from fresh, not frozen. Activities each morning and afternoon. Birthdays are celebrated with presents, birthday care prepared by the chef and often entertainment and a buffet. Dad's room is ensuite, cleaned every day, and nicely furnished. The garden is pretty and wheelchair-friendly. A lovely friendly atmosphere exists between staff and residents. Dad loves singing and is encouraged to sing.
Every time I have visited my family member they have always been happy and relaxed. They have always got a carer around if any issues occur or if any assistance is needed. Very friendly staff. It's lovely to see the staff and service users bonding during all the activities they have going on too. I would 100% recommend this home and couldn't fault it at all.
Very good and very happy.
The Lodge is the best care home I have had the pleasure of visiting. The staff are amazing, they are very kind and considerate and go out of their way to make the residents' lives a pleasure. Their dedication and inventiveness, particularly relating to pastimes and games for the residents, is outstanding.
My mum is very happy, her room is spotless. The staff, you could never fault, they bring sunlight into the rooms with their smiles, they are extremely helpful and kind. The food is fantastic and always a good variety. The Lodge has such a homely feel that is lovely to come into. All credit to them, the way they stimulate the residents who seem to enjoy all the activities.
I cannot recommend The Lodge highly enough. My mum came here in not a good place but they have cared for her every need. The staff are amazing with all the residents. I know my mum is safe and well looked after here.
