View Full Details of Lyons Court Residential Care HomeMy mum has been in Lyons Court since November 2024. Having visited a number of Care homes we chose this establishment. Mum has dementia. The management staff have been very supportive, and professional when giving advice to move Mum in, that was very useful and took a lot of the stress out. Mum has a lovely room, which is clean and tidy and spacious. It's the small attention to detail that impresses my family. A bath once a week ( they have an electric chair that lifts the resident into and out of the bath. Also a sensor so the water is not too hot or cold) Milkshakes once a day to help with energy. Also, the 'activities' each morning to simulate, when they can is great. So residents are not just left in their rooms. Thank you Lyons staff on my Mum's final journey.
My mum has been in Lyons Court for nine years. She has been very happy there and has always found the staff to be kind, caring and compassionate. They have always given her the best care and have often gone the 'extra mile' in arranging for her to have her hair done or by painting her nails for her. We have been extremely happy with the care that she has always received there and found all of the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. When Mum's health deteriorated they communicated with me continuously and I was always kept up-to-date with all of the doctor's visits and everything else that happened. Unfortunately, Mum passed away recently and she wanted to be in Lyons Court, the place that had been her home for so long. A big 'thank you' to all of the staff that looked after our Mum so well for so long. Thank you.
Very satisfied with the care given to Mum since she arrived at Lyons Court. Every member of staff is very friendly and helpful, Mum has settled well.
Our Mother has been a resident since June 2023. As a family, we are very pleased that we chose Lyons Court as her home. All the staff are excellent, loving, caring and friendly. Our Mother is always saying "They are wonderful" and we agree with her. Recently she has been unwell and the staff have made our Mother and ourselves feel that she is safe and supported in all aspects of her care.
I just wanted to thank and commend all the staff that have welcomed my 103-year-old nan over the last two months, she feels part of the Lyons Court family, the staff all go the extra mile to make Nan feel special from chatting to her, baths, cups of tea and booking her hair and nails in, the support and communication to family has been over and above what we could have asked for. Nan's health since being at Lyons Court has really improved, she no longer feels alone, has made some wonderful friends, loves the yummy food which is clear as she has put weight on! She looks wonderful we are very proud of her and to see how the staff have invested in Nan and all the residents is something very special, so huge thanks to you all we really appreciate your hard work, kind and patient natures. Look forward to Nan's next chapter at Lyons Court, you’ve certainly all given Nan a new lease of life, thanks.
My mother-in-law is a new resident in Lyon’s Court. She is 103 years old so a very new experience at a good age. The manager and her team could not be more professional, caring, kind and always ready to help. My mother-in-law is really happy and the whole family are so grateful for the wonderful care she is receiving.
I found it very difficult leaving my home, but the carers here have made it so much easier. Their care and kindness to me have made my life so much easier, and I thank you all. Unfortunately, the food is often lukewarm or cold.
My mum has been here a short time, but the difference in her mind and body is amazing. All thanks to the carers, management, cooks, cleaners and hairdressers. Thank you.
Although my mum has only been in Lyon’s Court for a short while, it is so lovely to see the difference in her, and that is all down to the kind and caring staff, from management, carers, cooks and cleaners. I can’t fault the place, thank you.
You here so many negative stories about care home but it's so obvious that they have not been to Lyons Court Residential Care Home. All the staff go the extra mile to see that everybody is cared for and comfortable. They (the staff) all with the residents as soon as they're called, no matter how small the request they all could not be more helpful.
I am very pleased to have my parents staying at Lyons Court. The care from all the staff is excellent. They are both happy and settled. The food is very good with both their preferences and diets catered for. The chefs make excellent cakes as and when required e.g. birthdays, etc. They both engage in daily activities and also enjoy the entertainment provided at times. The home is very well managed and any concerns are always addressed promptly.
My mum moved into Lyons Court Care Home at the beginning of July. It became clear immediately that the discussions from the initial meeting with the manager regarding Mum had been shared with the staff and they 'got' Mum immediately. The staff are fab! Mum is treated with professionalism, care, and compassion. She has Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's and the patience and understanding she is shown is amazing. When we visit the staff are always friendly and approachable and keep me well informed on Mum's wellbeing.
Such a pleasant care home. The manager is fantastic and always available to speak to and takes care of all residents and staff. Would highly recommend this home. Staff are always very pleasant, but it's the manager who makes it with her care towards families, residents and staff.
Thanks to the dedicated staff at Lyons Court Residential Care Home, my mum had an easy transition into the care home and is very happy and settled there. Staff are always welcoming, approachable and friendly. Mum has vascular dementia and is always treated with dignity, compassion and respect and they know her well. We are always kept informed of everything relating to mum and I am extremely happy with the care she receives. A very big thank you to all the care staff and management at Lyons Court for the excellent care and support they give to my mum.
Since my mother has been a resident at Lions Court she has been treated with great care understanding, compassion and with great professionalism. I have been kept in touch with everything that has happened with instant effect. I am extremely happy with the care she is receiving.
We just want to say a big thank you to all the care staff at Lyons Court. They are always welcoming when we visit and demonstrate great support and care to my mum. In particular, three members of staff, are brilliant in the way they speak with Mum - although she has advanced dementia they treat her as an individual person and know exactly what she likes/dislikes and how she likes to do things. Well done all at Lyons Court.
Our mum is very happy and settled at Lyons Court Residential Care Home, after needing to be moved at short notice. The manager was so helpful in ensuring Mum's move was as stress-free as possible. All of the staff are very welcoming and friendly and are so kind to Mum. There are lots of varied activities which Mum especially enjoys.
My mother has lived in Lyons Court for over 7 years. I am touched by the care and compassion shown by the vast majority of carers that I have met over the years. My mother has a very close bond with the carer currently responsible for her personal care who shows enormous tenderness towards her. Staff have always been available to answer family questions and concerns and have always acted in my mothers best interests and kept the family promptly updated about our mothers ongoing treatment and circumstances. I have no hesitation in recommending Lyons Court.
Sadly I had to put my dear mum into a home with regret but I must say that where mum is living now in Lyons Court she has settled in very well and seems to be happy, she joins in the entertainment fixtures etc laid on. Lyons Court is a converted Barn and I am very fortunate to live very close to my mum which is good for the family and my elderly father in order to visit mum. A friend of mine told me about Lyons Court and I then made an appointment to go and view the home to which I was greeted by the staff and the Manager to which I was made to feel very welcome likewise so was my mum when she went in the home as a resident. The staff are very attentive towards my mum and that to me is great to think my mum is very happy in her new home.
My mum came for respite in July and was apprehensive as this was new to her and me. Mum enjoyed her time at Lyons Court and wanted to return here for her next respite planned for September with a plan to extend this to a permanent move. When we first contacted the home to book in for respite unfortunately there was no bed available. We were not in a major rush and had a few weeks before Mum was due to attend. The management have worked extremely hard and have taken all my calls, sometimes a stressed call from me as time was ticking by. They have listened to me on every call and have worked to ensure there was a bed available for the latest time we needed Mum to attend. I am so very grateful for all their hard work and time spent talking with me and arranging a room. Today received a wonderful call from the home with the news we have been waiting on, Mum will be going back into Lyons Court for her respite stay in September.
