View Full Details of Maitland HouseVisiting my aunt, very happy to see how happy she is here and how lovely her room is with so many photos of family. We were greeted by one of the staff and taken to my aunt in the lounge and then brought into her room. We met the lovely head housekeeper who was friendly and charming. We are so reassured that my aunt is receiving the best care and attention. Looking forward to visiting again.
Mum is well cared for and enjoys the organised activities. The staff are very caring and treat Mum with great respect. She enjoys chatting with everyone and really enjoys their company.
I am very pleased with the service offered by Maitland House. My mother is well cared for and enjoys her time and activities.
Can I say, what an absolutely wonderful Care Home, from the manager through all the staff, chef, laundry lady and handyman, nothing is too much trouble. These people go above and beyond to make residents and family members feel so very welcome. This home is bright, clean, smells fresh and is so welcoming. It has a homely vibe going on. The manager is always available to quell any worries you may have. I would recommend it to all. Pay a visit and see for yourself. After 2 weeks of respite, my great-friend decided to return permanently.
Maitland House is highly recommended for its whole atmosphere. The staff are welcoming, helpful and approachable. Facilities excellent, including entertainment. 10/10, outstanding.
This is my first visit to Maitland House and what I have seen has impressed me. The resident I have visited today is very happy and has settled in well. Thank you.
The team at Maitlands is above exceptional they helped me and my Mum at a very vulnerable time. I will never be able to show them how grateful I am for their love, and support, unfortunately with Mum's dementia. She can't stay at the home which is heartbreaking. Anyone who has the privilege of having a retirement there is very lucky. Well done team, you are all amazing!
Slightly disappointed with the size of my aunt's room but the food, care and support for family members and my aunt was excellent. Would definitely recommend to others!
Visiting a friend in Maitland House Care Home, a very warm and friendly atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble for staff and management is very approachable. Would recommend this home.
A lovely care home that provides genuine care with support and dignity. I am so happy to have found this new home for my mother, where I am sure she will flourish. The management and staff are friendly and there is a real "family home" feeling.
I would like to thank all the staff for the fantastic care they have given my mum. The effort they put in for her 80th birthday party, the BBQ in the garden and many more things, thanks to you all, care workers and management, greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work, keep up the entertainment, it makes a difference to her well-being.
Very friendly and happy atmosphere. All staff are so kind, caring and have a wonderful attitude to my father. They have settled him in so well that he is very happy to stay here. Cannot praise them enough.
My husband was discharged from the hospital to Maitland House in May. We were very pleased as we had both been there before for "respite care". The care he received was very caring, and as his health deteriorated, he was constantly given loving and dignified care. We also received the same wonderful attention and care when visiting. His final hours were very respectful.
This care home is amazing. The staff are so kind and so thoughtful. The food is lovely. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There are great activities. Overall, a lovely atmosphere. My mother-in-law spent 2 weeks respite here and she was so upset at having to go to a home but she was made to feel so welcome and so cared for. They diagnosed cellulitis in her leg and immediately sorted help.mCan’t fault them and I only have great things to say about them. Thank you.
I came to Maitland House for respite care. I had my right leg amputated and was in the process of having my bathroom altered for my needs. I was here for two weeks. The staff were kind and caring, accommodation and food was excellent.
I came to Maitland House for 12 days of respite and was made to feel very welcome from day one. I have nothing but respect and admiration for all the staff for their care of everyone, and I must add a word of praise to the cooks and the food provided.
All the staff at Maitland House are amazing, every time I get away from university I always pop in and see Nan. She always appears so happy and the staff can't do enough for her or us as visitors. I can see the improvement in the home over the last few months. I know there are new staff and management there and you can see the difference. The home always looks and smells fresh. I just want to say a big thank you to Maitland House for all your hard work and support, not only to Nan but to us as a family we really appreciate it.
My first impression when I came to visit was Maitland House is a very warm and welcoming place. There was an aura of calm, peace and contentment amongst the residents. It felt more like a hotel than a care home. My experience of all the staff when I visit is that they are all very friendly and caring, treating each resident with dignity and ensuring their individual needs are met.
Our mum has been at Maitland House for over two years now. All of the staff are absolutely amazing, exceptionally kind to Mum and so welcoming to us, and the food is excellent and so varied. The home is well managed and the manager always seems to be striving to make further improvements where possible. We are very happy that our mum lives here and reassured that she is well looked after.
Our lovely mum became a resident at Maitland House after we lost our dad in 2021. She was enjoying her time there up until the summer of 2022 when her health started to deteriorate and she stopped eating in September. With the exemplary care she was given, and encouragement to drink, she continued up until February of this year. Sadly, she lost her fight and passed. I want to thank the staff for the care, dignity and respect they gave her and also the care they gave to us as a family in her last week, we will be forever grateful. Also, they need to be commended for the fact that she never once had a break in her skin or pressure sore in the whole sixteen months she was there, which is a testament to her care. I would have no hesitation in recommending the care home to anyone who was looking. With grateful thanks.
