Mum moved here in September 2021 after the hospital decided without consulting me (who had power of attorney) that here was where Mum was going to be sent to. Thank goodness for the care home manager, she was absolutely amazing. After receiving a panicked phone call from my sister who had gone to visit Mum, only to find her with a packed bag and a very brief explanation that Mum needed to be moved to Marcris House. I immediately rang the home and spoke to the manager. She patiently explained what was happening and what was likely to happen over the next few weeks. She was reassuring and totally down to earth. Once Mum had actually moved in, I was very reassured with the professionalism, kindness and compassion that was shown to her and myself. The home manager and the whole team kept myself and my sister informed of what was happening with Mum. The whole team were compassionate and loving towards Mum and kindness itself towards myself and my sister. 100% recommend!
