View Full Details of Ridgewell HouseAll the staff and managers at Ridgewell House are very professional, caring, and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and my Mum is very happy there, she always has a laugh, jokes and sing song with the staff. If my mum is happy then I am as well. Thank you for taking such good care of her.
My Mum absolutely loves being at Ridgewell House and I love visiting her here on most days, the staff are absolutely fantastic and nothing is a bother to them to do if asked. The care my Mum gets is outstanding and the food is lovely. This place is such a lovely home for my Mum, and I am so glad she now lives here. The staff are all lovely and friendly and make you feel very welcome, I can't praise them enough.
My sister-in-law is so happy here. The staff are so friendly and really look after her. She is always presentable and well-fed. The home is clean always. I am always welcome, they make me feel at home also. If I needed care in the future this would be my first choice.
My Mother has been a resident here for many years and has done very well. The staff all appear to like her and are used to her walking around at night. She can eat breakfast when she pleases and whatever she fancies on the day. They all take good care of her so that when I visit I get all the nice times and they deal with any problems. The residents and staff are all lovely! I am kept well informed of her health and well-being.
Party, staff made it fun, full of love and care, they did an amazing spread of food. Great singing, no one was left out. Staff care and kindness is excellent. Thank you to you all you do an amazing job.
My mother has been here for just over two years and my husband and I think it's the best it has ever been.
I do not know how the management and carers at Ridgewell House could have been more caring, supportive, and kind when it came to looking after my grandmother who had her 100th and 101st birthdays there. I never had any concerns about the care and support they provided, but most importantly they were 100% genuine which for me was so important. If there were any issues or concerns, they wouldn't brush them under the table but would always inform me, and more importantly, would learn from it. I knew my nan was getting the best care possible. She was happy, cared for, and safe and I couldn't have asked for anything else. Both the day and night staff were true angels all the way to the end. And I for one would say I'm pleased my grandmother spent her last years there, she even joined in the events they held, something I never thought she would do, she was happy there and made friends with other residents and the staff. Thank you to everyone at Ridgewell House.
I must say I am very pleased with the service at the home. The staff are always very friendly and they look after my friend very well and that is my main concern. And they gave my mother in law brilliant end of life care.
Our dad has been in Ridgewell House for 3 months and I have complete peace of mind that the care and attention and respect he receives is of the highest standard. This is delivered by friendly approachable staff who are always available to update family when they visit or by phone. Our dad has Alzheimer's but since going to Ridgewell House he seems happy and has put on over 11lbs in weight as he is being properly looked after. Excellent.
Ridgewell House took care of my elderly second cousins' partner after he passed away. We lived quite a long way from the home so we could only visit at weekends, however, my mind was put at rest by the outstanding compassion and care shown to all the residents by the staff. The common areas and personal rooms were always kept clean. The home is a nice size with just the right amount of residents to make it feel like a home.
This care home is not the plushest! but the staff without fail are very caring and respectful of residents. Relatives and friends are made most welcome at any time.
The home is very friendly, relaxed caring and understand the needs of the residents that stay there.
My mother has been a resident at Ridgewell House since September 2015. She suffers from mild dementia and anxiety-related disorders. I am more than happy with the way my mother is treated by the staff in relation to her care, safety and wellbeing. She is actively encouraged to try and maintain as much independence as she can. Ridgewell House is clean and well-organised, the meals are good. There is a routine but this is sufficiently flexible to allow for each resident's needs. There are celebrations for birthdays and seasonal events, plus other ad hoc entertainment where the residents and their families are actively encouraged to join in. Ridgewell House has a beautifully maintained garden to the rear, with flower beds and mature trees and is open to residents and their visitors to enjoy. The rooms can be decorated according to the wishes of the resident. Ridgewell House is a short walk from Holland-on-Sea beach. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home. It is a lovely home from home. My mother has been in the home for four years and has been well cared for by well trained, caring and dedicated staff.
My father moved into Ridgewell House, initially for respite care, and then on a permanent basis as my mother, unwell herself, was unable to care for him at home. We were very happy with the care he received at Ridgewell House from all of the staff who work there. We were always made to feel welcome when we visited on a daily basis and knew that he was in safe hands. The freshly cooked food was excellent at Ridgewell House and my father ate well. He was kept warm and cosy. The back garden was a bonus and it was lovely sitting outside with my father on a warm day. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Ridgewell House to others.
My mother who has Alzheimer's has been cared for at Ridgewell House for the last 18 months. The team work really hard to give the people who live here a safe, caring environment to live in. It’s a small home with a very personal feel. The staff work well together and do their best to respond to the different needs of the residents. They have a new manager and a good team who are doing a great job in making the home a positive place to live. I’d recommend.
My mother has been warm, comfortable and well cared for in this lovely home. I consider it to be an extended family and am glad that we were lucky to get my mother placed here.
My mother moved into Ridgewell House for respite care on being discharged from hospital. As things turned out she was unable to go back to living alone and Ridgewell was able to accept her on a permanent basis. Since she has no immediate family in the area we depend on Ridgewell staff for all of her daily needs including, for instance, doctors visits and consultations, and we have not been disappointed. At first, she was able to take part in many of the activities organised but over the past years her health has declined and she is now suffering from dementia. Both she and I now rely fully on the care given by the staff at Ridgewell. I would recommend Ridgewell to all who look for a small, friendly house with efficient, well trained, caring staff and a good on-site kitchen!
A well-run Home with very caring staff. A safe haven for the elderly. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to place an elderly relative into care.
