View Full Details of Waters View Residential HomeMy dad is receiving the best care. He is always clean, smart and well-fed. The carers really do care and are so kind not just to my dad but his family too. I am so glad that we chose this home for our dad.
Mum has been at Waters View for a year now and I honestly cannot believe how lucky we have been to have found such a wonderful place. Mum is settled and the staff and Management go over and above for all Residents in their care. We would find it very hard to find anywhere with this quality of care for Mum to stay.
My mother has been in Waters View for several years now. We used three other homes for respite care when we went on holiday and I was unhappy with all of them. Mum said they did not feel homely. I am an OT and have managed complex care packages for children with additional needs as well as done some inspection work in my Occupational Therapy capacity for the CQC so I am aware of what to look for in a care home. From the start Waters View had a homely family atmosphere. The team provide exemplary care and we are confident mum is safe and well looked after. We are on a journey with no happy endings as mum has Lewy Body Dementia, recently I have walked out of a couple of visits straight into the care of the team as mums mental state can be distressing to watch, the support they offer us is invaluable. Residential care is a positive option with companionship and love that is much harder to create with a care package going into the family home. We have found all of this at Waters View.
The staff at Waters View are very caring and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. They do all they can to assist my mother-in-law and encourage and motivate her. She is treated as a member of the family and I feel confident she is being well cared for.
Since my Mother who has Vascular Dementia has been in Waters View Residential Home I have nothing but good to say about her Care. Excellent care, hygiene service and feedback on Mums current health. The staff are always there to help and advise us on how Mum is doing.
My mother-in-law only spent a few months at Waters View care home, her end-of-life care was kind, compassionate and always with dignity and respect. At times when she was unable to make decisions for herself the care team engaged with the family, sought advice, and made those important decisions keeping my mother-in-law at the heart of the care provided. The manager and her team not only cared for my mother-in-law but the genuine support and kindness to the family was above and beyond! The support network provided from all the staff was exactly what we needed to be able to get through the challenges that dementia delivered. To my father-in-law Waters View became an extended family, and he is eternally grateful to the manager and staff for their thoughtfulness and assistance that was available any time of the day or night. We are all thankful for the amazing standard of care delivered and the warm and welcoming environment that made such a difference during difficult times.
Mum had Alzheimer's and lived at Waters View for the last 18 months of her life and wow did she have fun and laughter. All the staff are caring, happy and very knowledgeable, they could not have cared for Mum any more than they did, also for all the family as well. We personally liked that it is a small family-run home, knowing all the staff by name. Everyone knew what Mum liked and disliked, so for her, she had an extended family. It's hard for the family to put a loved one into a home, but on seeing Mum's face happy, smiling and hearing laughter we would recommend Waters View to anyone. Huge thank you.
My family and I found the care to be of the highest standard, the team genuinely care about the wellbeing of each resident and there is a strong homely feel. My Aunt regularly requested food and drinks throughout the day and night and was provided for at all times of the day without complaint. We chose Waters View Residential Home as it does not have that institutional feel that a lot of care homes have and it always smells like fresh cooking/baking, rather than anything undesirable.
A relative of mine came for a short stay in March 2022 and wow what can I say about this care home! All the staff and management are so caring and have such a kind nature when it comes to the residents. They always put the residents' needs first and for all the outstanding care that they provide, it is so lovely to see how much the staff treat the residents like their own family. The home has such a homely feel and the home-cooked food always smells amazing. The team have worked so hard in caring for my relative and others around the home and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Waters View Residential Home to others!
My nan was a resident at Waters View for the last 15 months until she passed away in April. I can’t praise the manager and her team enough for the outstanding care that they provided. They genuinely do care for every resident and their families. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The home has a very homely feel and I know Nan enjoyed the home-cooked food. I wouldn’t hesitate in highly recommending Waters View.
As a retired care home owner and manager, I can honestly say with my hand on my heart that the care my father received from Waters View was brilliant and individual to his care needs. The manager and her team work so hard to achieve the care they give, especially through very difficult circumstances, which are affecting all of our lives at present. I am so grateful for the care they gave my dad and the way they dealt with other services along the way. Thank you all.
Mum has been at Waters View for nearly a year, and the staff have been very kind and helpful. It took her a little while to accept why she was there, but now she views it like home and is happy. It is small, and as it is family run, it has a personal feel.
My grandfather is in his 98th year. He has full mental capacity but somewhat limited mobility. He has not only enjoyed but thrived in the family atmosphere provided by the manager and all the wonderful staff at Waters View. He has been there for many years now, and I truly believe he would not be alive today if it wasn't for all at Waters View. Like many, he had no choice other than to be assisted in his everyday life. Waters View has provided this opportunity for him. He is happy and safe. The home provides for all his needs, and nothing is too much for the staff. You can leave your loved ones here knowing they are treated with the kindness and dignity they all deserve. The home provides wonderful home-cooked meals and is always ready to accommodate my varied visiting needs. The recent pandemic was dealt with to the highest Government standards, and I was informed with every new change. There is not a moment over these many years that I have ever worried for his welfare.
After both my parents being discharged from hospital with covid, I needed somewhere for them to recover. The care they received at Waters View was excellent, all staff very friendly and efficient, great home-cooked food and the rooms clean and comfortable. All staff followed the guidelines, with regards to covid, at all times. Staff kept me updated as I was unable to visit and I was happy that my parents were being well cared for. Thank you all.
Our mum lived at Waters View for 6 years after breaking her hip and being unable to live independently. Under two different owners, the home was very well suited for Mum. Individual care and attention in a smaller family-style care home. The newer team at Waters View are caring, responsive and well-led by management. Mum was very well looked after in her final years here and it was very reassuring for Mum’s family.
A lovely care home where my Mother in Law was very well looked after. The manager and her team go above and beyond to ensure the residents are treated like family and that their physical and emotional needs are met. The bedrooms, food, care plans all meant that my Mother in Law would refer to it as her hotel and never as an institution. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile, you know all the small team of carers and they know the residents and you feel like it is one big extended family. This small individually focused home was invaluable to our family.
My mother was resident in the home for around 6-months, I visited in February (I live abroad) and was there for up to 8-hours a day, daily for 10-days. In the time I was there, I found the staff to be really caring, looking after my mum very well and with good humour too. My mum absolutely loved the food, and, believe me, I could see why especially the cakes and desserts with an honourable mention to the cooked breakfasts. I believe, along with very regular family visits, which were encouraged, the care she received extended her life and certainly made her last months happy and gave the rest of us peace of mind, that she was in a safe and caring environment. The staff, could not be faulted and I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone looking for somewhere safe for their loved ones to stay.
My nanna is currently at Waters View, and I can't fault the care she is receiving. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, and nothing is to much trouble for them. I would highly recommend this care home for respite and long term care!
Waters View has many wonderful, attentive staff and looked after my husband very well, considering he was hard work. That being the reason he was there as I couldn't cope with him with Parkinson's and dementia.
A wonderful care home! The staff are always so friendly, always offer you a cup of tea! They update you on everything that concerns your loved one and have even been and got slippers for them. My loved one is always clean, dinners look lovely, and they ensure that all residents are cared for. It feels like you are part of a family here. Covid restrictions - have done FaceTime calls and allowed us to ring whenever to ensure our loved one is ok. Have kept us updated if they needed tests or anything. Have always ensured the residents are protected from the virus but made us feel at ease when we could visit by bringing them to the door. We have even received photos. They care for the residents as if they were one of their own family.
My dad is receiving the best care. He is always clean, smart and well-fed. The carers really do care and are so kind not just to my dad but his family too. I am so glad that we chose this home for our dad.
