View Full Details of Woodbury CourtWoodbury Court has proven to be the best choice we could possibly have made for my dad. He has been there two years now and has really never looked back! At ninety-five years of age he is flourishing under their care and it's wonderful to witness. As a family we would not have the slightest hesitation in recommending Woodbury Court.
Mum transferred to Woodbury after a hospital stay highlighted that she could no longer live safely independently. Despite our concerns, Mum has settled in really well and loves her room which is so important to her as she enjoys spending time in her own company. There's always an abundance of staff around whenever we visit, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the home feels very positive and staff are genuinely invested in the care of residents. The management team are also excellent: visible, approachable, and responsive. There is a genuine enthusiasm about finding ways to ensure residents feel at home from home, and a willingness to resolve any issue no matter how trivial or important. At what has been a challenging and concerning time for us as a family, Woodbury Court staff have been consistent, dependable and supportive. It has made all the difference.
My mother has been here for four years now and I am so pleased with her care. Relatives are made so welcome and meetings and information events are planned for them. Special events are organised such as Winter Wonderland and it is clear the staff know the residents and their needs well. Any concerns are acted upon quickly. The management staff are also so giving of their time for example if we need advice.
Well where do I start. My mum and stepfather have moved to this home because their funds ran out and we had to find a new home. Well if we knew about this home originally they would have come here first. I can't rate the manager and her team highly enough. The staff encourage Mum and Step to do more things, they have only been there for four weeks and already they have been ice skating, snooker, and pub lunches. Keep up the good work guys.
My dad was so happy at the care home. All staff looked after him very well, from chatting to him, showering him too, helping him with his food. Now dad goes every Friday and loves it... as again all staff chat to him, and he has a shower. He eats very well and the entertainment again is brilliant... one carer in particular really makes effort with entertainment when he's on...but I can't say enough about all staff, so friendly and helpful. Thanks again.
Nan is in her 5th year at Woodbury Court and can't fault them, the staff are amazing, always approachable, and the care Nan gets is amazing, she is really happy here, if she can't be at home with us there is no where else I would want her to be.
My parents have just been transferred from their previous care home. We were a little concerned how this would affect them both but our worries were unnecessary. From management, carers and everyone they have been welcomed by open arms. They have both settled in very well and have done more activities than before, ice skating, snooker club, meals out and more to come. The care team are very caring and helpful when ever we ask about them or request anything to be done. Clothes are washed and come back the same day, lovely lady very polite and helpful. The managers doors are always open, nothing is too much trouble and visit every person daily on their rounds. Could not ask for a better care home thank you everyone at Woodbury Court care home.
After a two-week stay in hospital, I was transferred to Woodbury Court Care Home for rehabilitation and time to get my own living arrangements sorted out. Although I was only originally scheduled for a 4-week stay this eventuality was extended to 8 weeks. From the time I set foot into this care home until I left, I was treated with love and kindness by these amazing professional carers. They would treat me as a friend rather than a patient and would always go out of their way to brighten up my day. We had so many great days of conversation and laughter and the time just shot by. I made a lot of friends there and although I knew it was my time to leave I was sad to go. I will god willing be able to return as a visitor in the future to say hello and catch up on all the latest news. For the time being I will stay in touch through their website and to see what great activities they are getting up to. A big thanks again to manager and staff who made my stay a great experience.
My sister adores living here. All the staff are unfailingly pleasant and the care provided can't be faulted. The surroundings are superb, always clean and pleasant smelling. We feel fortunate for her to be in such a fantastic place. Well done Home Manager and all the team.
Very friendly care home. Very caring managers and staff who create a lovely environment for residents. Lots of activities organised and positive energy throughout the home. I would recommend this home.
Dad joined Woodbury in January to give Mum some respite. Unfortunately, she passed away in February after a very short illness and our whole lives turned upside down. The whole team at Woodbury have been absolutely incredible. They supported Dad in his transition, made it all so smooth and stress-free. We were all over the place but they have a wonderful talent for caring, supporting, saying the right things and generally just 'being there'. Dad is so, so happy there. Every day we see updates of the activities they do with him. He's been out on lots of trips, dabbled in the garden and even made cakes! (He never even knew where the kitchen was at home!). He really has settled so well. Every member of staff have been so genuinely caring towards Dad and us. We're able to relax about Dad's care knowing he's happy. I struggle so much with guilt, but they always take time to support me and I don't think they know how much they really do help. I truly couldn't ask for a more caring team.
Mum was admitted to Woodbury Court after stays in multiple hospitals in the local area and a failed discharge to home care. As a family we have been so impressed with the standard of care and the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the home. It is such a relief to know that Mum is well cared for 24 hours a day. Transition to a care home environment can be difficult but all the staff have tried their best to make life as comfortable as possible. A big thank you to the managers and staff for taking such care of all of us!
Mum has been in Woodbury Court for over a year now and we are very happy with the care and compassion she receives. The staff throughout Mum's stay have been helpful, kind and on hand whenever they have been needed. If we have any issues or help with medical appointments or queries on Mum's care we are always helped and listened to. One staff member in particular is brilliant at dealing with Mum's care and ensuring everything is as it should be. The management team are always friendly and approachable and very hands on with residents and family members. We feel Mum is happy and content at Woodbury and that is so important to us. I would have no doubt in recommending Woodbury to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
Brilliant staff, excellent care home, my partner's needs are met, I do enjoy seeing my partner and her friends, thank you to you all.
I can wholeheartedly say the workers on the ground level and all other management staff genuinely care about the residents. I feel listened to and no question or query is ever too much trouble. I wish the carers got paid more as they are always overstretched and work so very hard. I feel for them. It's not a job you can do without having the care and empathy they all have. The care home is well-kept and clean. Thank you Woodbury Court.
Mum has been at Woodbury Court since November 2021, she settled in very quickly and has been very happy there. The home has lots of activities for the residents daily, Mum was taken swimming monthly which she loved. The home is very clean, staff always very friendly and helpful.
My mum was admitted after 2 failed hospital discharges for respite and recovery. It made such a difference to her recovery and wellbeing that there was a case for Woodbury Court to become her new home in a safe environment where she is now thriving and enjoying the last years of her life. This has also made a huge difference to family members who can relax and know she is safe and well cared for by all the amazing people at Woodbury Court.
It wasn't an easy decision for my mum to move into a care home but via a friend's recommendation we visited Woodbury Court. From the first visit to when my mum moved in the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. Her care is outstanding and it's so reassuring that my mum is happy there. The home is kept to a high standard. The staff are very friendly and always keep me updated between visits. It's a peace of mind knowing my mum is happy, safe and being so well looked after.
A very new experience for us but all the staff at Woodbury have made my mum's transition to her new environment as easy as it could be. She had some health issues and visits to A&E and the lovely caring staff supported her and us as a family. I am confident that Mum will continue to settle into her new life with the love and care of Everyone at Woodbury.
Just wanted to say a huge thank you for looking after my dad so well during his 4-week stay after leaving the hospital. Every single member of staff encountered, from caterers to carers went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, with special mention to two particular members of staff, who helped to locate a wheelchair for Dad on Sunday afternoon to be able to enjoy the sunny courtyard with family. We were impressed with the level of care and trouble taken to try and work around Dad's slightly awkward food timing requests. Staff were accommodating, and our family were able to use the tea room for a lovely 90th birthday celebration. The only negative point from a safety and practical point of view was the lack of segregation between patients with and without dementia, but other than this, we have nothing but praise for Woodbury Court.
