View Full Details of Silversea LodgeMy mother is very happy in this home. The care and support she receives is next to none. I would certainly recommend this home; it has a family feel about it. My mother has had two accidents this month (through no fault of the home), and the staff telephone straight away and keep me updated on how she is faring.
My nan has been in the care home for around a year and has absolutely loved it! The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful! They do lots of activities that I love seeing pictures of on the Facebook page. The staff have done an amazing job at making my nan feel at home. My nan has a lovely little room, and the decor has a lovely little feel. My niece described the home as “a little fairy house”. Feel so at ease knowing she is in good hands! Would definitely recommend!
My aunt has been residing at Silversea Lodge for six months now, and it’s the happiest I’ve seen her. The staff are lovely and always on hand to talk to if I need it. They are always doing some kind of activities that the residents enjoy; my aunt loves singing and dancing and always gets up to have a boogie. We couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. Thank you all.
My mum has been at Silversea for ten months and settled there pretty quickly. It has a really homely feel; it is relaxed and non-institutional - and despite the challenges that residents have, the atmosphere feels light and friendly. Mum's room is light and bright and has an ensuite - and the stairs keep her fit as she is still strong and physically able! The outside space is nice to sit in and is currently being made cheerier with plants and flowers, which the residents enjoy planting. The effort is made to entertain residents there beyond the TV - dancing, singing, quizzes etc. When Mum fancies a quiet day in her room reading letters and looking at photos etc, she is able to do that - and when she wants company, she can be downstairs with others. Staff are caring, friendly and approachable, and being a relatively small home, they are very familiar with all the residents - feels very personal. I saw quite a lot of homes before deciding on this one. Happy with the choice. Thanks to the staff team.
My mother-in-law has been cared for at Silversea Lodge for the past two years, and when we visit, which is nearly every evening, she is always happy and content. The staff are amazing, and their kindness is really wonderful. The manager, and the deputy, are always at hand to speak with. The home has an amazing homely feel, and the new decorations are amazing. It's clean, fresh and tidy. There are always activities going on. I love their new paintings on the front of the house.
My nan has been a resident at Silversea Lodge for some months now, and each time I visit, I can not express how happy my nan seems. The staff are amazing, and their kindness is truly touching; the manager, along with the deputy, is always at hand to speak with. The home has an amazing feel due to the decor; it's clean, fresh and always has activities going on. I love their new resident (kitten) so cute to have a little mogi running around and sitting in the resident's lap. Thank you, Silversea.
My sister has been cared for at Silversea Lodge for six months, and during that time, I have visited her four times. Although unhappy at not being in her own home, she has been encouraged by the staff into having a happy and social time. The atmosphere in the communal lounge is homely and comfortable, and my sister's room is clean and tidy despite a large number of mementoes she keeps to hand. Caring aspects are unobtrusive.
Our mum came to Silversea in March 22; she was treated with care and love, and we were also treated the same. Mum was so happy there; she loved the inclusion, be it singing, games or having her nails done, the tea parties, Halloween and Christmas. We always felt she was in good hands. Sadly Mum passed away on the 1st of February 2023, and we spent the last few days with her and will always be grateful for the Silversea family.
The staff were all lovely and friendly. The food was good, bed comfy. Unfortunately, my mum's dementia decided to get worse, so she did not behave very well. However, the staff all did their best to appease her and the situation. My mum has been living at home and just went in for one week's respite to allow my sister a week's holiday. Mum didn't remember she was going there and thought we would be with her, so she was unhappy being away from home. However, in her words, the staff were nice, the food was good, the bed was comfy, and the people were nice. Sat in the garden a couple of times (could do with some flowers), but all decorations for the Jubilee were lovely. Had a little tea party and fruity cocktails too. I would recommend. I dont know if they would have Mum back again though!
Very good overall.
I know my wife is in good hands. She is cared for as part of a "family". I was able to visit yesterday, and I was welcomed back as I had only just been there. I had not been able to see my wife since last October, it was such a relief to see how well she looked.
The care that has been given to my mum has been so reassuring in such a difficult time. I have recommended the home to a friend of the family. The Facebook page has been a real asset in helping me deal with my dad. Thank you.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is good.
My mum is currently here and has been for over two years. You cannot ask for anything better than the care and love she gets... it's excellent. The staff listen to your worries and do their utmost in reassuring you.
My mother is now a resident at Silversea Lodge. The staff have been extremely helpful and reassuring in explaining everything. After a fall and being diagnosed with Alzheimer's, my mother was in a very vulnerable position. The manager of Silversea Lodge has given us confidence that she is well looked after, and my mother is happy when I speak to her on the phone.
My mother has been in Silversea for the past 2.5 years and is very happy there. She has not got dementia but she is now bed-bound; the care she gets is great, all the girls/boys take great care of her. I was lucky enough to be able to visit prior to covid, and could not fault the place. It is not on a large scale as some are, which means she gets that bit of personal attention. They have dementia patients there as well, and they really keep them active. I can't thank the staff enough for what they do (my mothers 93).
