View Full Details of Willows Lodge Care HomeI would highly recommend Willows Lodge, they have amazing staff and always happy to help and answer questions and give the best quality of care! We are truly grateful that they are all caring and wonderful and very welcoming!
My elderly Mother was very well cared for during her stay at Willows Lodge. Having been transferred there from the Hospital in a state of acute anxiety, the staff did a wonderful job looking after her and helping to quickly settle her into new unfamiliar surroundings. Mum always spoke very highly of all the carers and nurses who tended to her every need; which is rare praise indeed coming from Mum!
Hi, my lovely husband was in here for palliative care, I cannot praise all of the staff enough, people say “oh! Yes their Angels”, I’m saying “they truly are first class Angels”. Thank you for the care you showed my hubby and for looking after me also, God Bless each and every one of you. If I could I would give you 20.
Very caring home. Visiting was at any time day or evening. Nothing was too much trouble for the nursing staff. My mother had many needs/issues. She really did receive fantastic care. She was happy in the room she was in. The room was a signal room with a large window which gave the room a nice light feel. I was worried about my mother going into a care home, now I am really pleased and thankful. Willows Lodge Care Home had a space to take my mother. Best decision ever.
Since my mum has been in Willows Lodge she has been treated with dignity and is always clean and presentable.
Mum has done nothing but improve since she has been in the care of Willows Lodge. She now has constant care from the staff and company of people of a similar age to her. Getting her meals and medication under control has seen a significant improvement in her well-being and I can't thank the staff enough.
I am very pleased with the care my mum receives. The staff are very helpful and cheerful. If there are any problems they always contact me by phone or email. Mum seems to be happy and well cared for. I would like to especially thank the staff on my mum's floor. All the staff are good. Also the office staff who are always ready to help me.
My mum has been at Willow Lodge Care Home for about five years now, and overall, the service has been great. There have been some ups and downs along the way with food being very poor at one time, but this has improved massively now. Things seem to be improving under the new management team, and you can see a real effort being made to improve the overall care. Two members of staff have always been a great support to me regarding Mum and her care over the years. Mum absolutely loves them both, and they brighten up her day. I find one lady is very good at calming Mum down and working out what is upsetting her. One gentleman is great with Mum, messing about with her and making her laugh - I can tell Mum likes him. The nurse is brilliant - nothing is too much trouble for her. When I phone at the weekends to video call Mum, she goes out of her way to make it possible, and I really appreciate the effort she goes to so I can get the call with Mum that I want. Overall, I am very pleased.
My mother moved into Willows Lodge when she was no longer able to support/care for herself at home; unfortunately, daily care staff visits did not work well. Mum has made many friends at Willows Lodge and appears to be happy and well looked after. The staff are always approachable and available to speak to me if I have any concerns, and Mum speaks very highly of them. I appreciate that Lockdown has been a challenge for everyone, especially in care homes, when obviously, visiting was suspended, and all activities were cancelled, due to this, Mum became quite subdued. However, the carers and staff worked tirelessly to counteract this, even though, at times, they were susceptible to Covid virus too.
The ground floor staff go above and beyond for my relative. Any issues are dealt with promptly and swiftly for the best outcome all around. They support external family members as well to make sure we are all OK and supported as having a loved one in care is extremely overwhelming at times.
My mother has been at Willows Lodge since June last year and the care and attention she gets is amazing. All the staff are always incredibly helpful and do everything they can for her. She is treated with dignity and respect. Her care worker is wonderful with her, and all the staff that look after her are brilliant. It has a friendly happy atmosphere and nothing is too much for them.
The staff are professional and friendly at all times. They have knowledge of my mum's needs and they always have the answers to my questions.
Well, where do I start, My uncle moved into Willow Lodge back in May 2022. He was given the best care, and the staff at Willow Lodge made him feel right at home, right up until his passing at the end of November. He was treated remarkably well. He was let loose in the garden and transformed it, making it blossom again, all new plants, grass etc. The care home even got him a plaque, which was nice. My uncle didn't have a bad word to say about any of the staff, he was always praising them every time we turned up to visit him, always laughing and joking with the staff. The staff always took time out to speak to us when we visited making us feel welcome also. From us all, we would like to thank everyone at Willow Lodge for taking good care of my uncle from the beginning right up until the end.
I cannot thank the staff at Willow lodge enough. From the day my Nan moved in the staff could not do enough. They always put my nan's needs first and are happy to listen to our concerns and put changes in place if need be. My Nan is currently a resident and is quite poorly, not only are they caring for my Nan but they always go above and beyond for the whole family. The staff truly are fantastic and as a family, we will never be able to show enough gratitude for everything they have done and continue to do.
Totally incompetent, treat all residents as though they have dementia, don't listen to their concerns, take ages to answer call button. Either get washed at 6am or needs family to intervene for them to be washed at 2.30 in the afternoon. Open their mail and file away without showing resident and final insult call the dead person's mobile and not the family to inform they died 2 hrs ago and then gave wrong number to coroner, just the tip of the iceberg, avoid at all costs.
If there are such things as angels on earth - they 100% work at Willows Lodge, the staff are truly wonderful. The care and compassion my uncle received in his short time at this home were incredible. The staff looked after him and treated him like he was their own relative, their way of dealing with and interacting with him was so kind and thoughtful, despite some challenging behaviours due to dementia. The contact and communication with family is also constant with questions answered and time always taken to ensure what is discussed is understood. My uncle was always kept clean and his clothes changed, his dignity was always maintained and his end of life care was second to none. As his relatives, we were always made to feel welcome and never too much trouble to have a cup of tea or a chat during what we know are very busy working times for the staff. From the bottom of my heart - thank you for what you do.
My uncle arrived on the day the home went into lockdown last March and since then, the care he has recieved has been amazing. All the staff, management and chef are all caring and so supportive to us as a family and to my uncle. The home is nice and clean and they go above and beyond. It's been tough not being able to see him a lot over the past 10 months, but they have made it easier. I wanted to thank them, so I bought a gazebo for the garden for visits for us and other families to visit our relatives, when possible, as it is so important for them to know they have not been forgotten. That is what worried me about his dementia. He thinks I don't care, not understanding about the virus, but the staff keep the communication open with video calls etc. This home is a must if you are looking for great care for your family member. 100%.
What a wonderful place, staff are excellent caring and kind. My mum is in great hands with all staff who I know love and care for her. Whilst these times are difficult for mum and myself, I have to stand outside by the window to talk to her, I always have someone inside caring for her.
We would like to thank all the Staff at Willow Lodge for looking after our Dad/Husband for the 4 weeks that he was in the home. Everyone was so lovely to him and to us as a family nothing was to much trouble for them. We cannot recommend this nursing home highly enough.
My dad has been at the care home for approximately three months. During that time, the staff have treated my dad with such dignity. They are very compassionate and have become like one of the family. Questions are always answered and if the answer is not known, it is found and reported back. They saved my dad's life when he had a fit early January. I will forever be grateful.
