View Full Details of The WhitecroftI have visited many care homes through work and Whitecroft surpasses them all. The staff work tirelessly and are all so very dedicated to the residents and their wellbeing. The place is spotless and the staff work hard to keep it that way. One of the things Mum really likes at Whitecroft, is the fact that there is always something going on from making decorations for Halloween or having her nails painted, they even have a hairdresser on-site and take the residents out on day trips. Mum has a lovely room with an en-suite that overlooks the garden where she enjoys watching the birds and squirrels play. Well done Whitecroft you are amazing.
Cannot fault this care home. Have always found it to be clean, with no nasty smells. However, the best thing is the staff. They always try their best to give the residents the most comfortable and enjoyable stay ever. All the staff work extremely hard and nothing is too much trouble. They have a small hair salon too, which is so nice, as it makes you feel better too.
My mum came to The Whitecroft in June. It was a difficult decision to make having cared for her at home for years but it has without a doubt been the best decision we have made as a family. Mum is cared for 24 hours a day. Staff show care, consideration and respect at all times. They go out of their way to meet her needs and the numerous enrichment activities are widening her experiences and provide positive links to her past interests which is so lovely to see.
My grandad has been living here for a couple of years now. All the staff are so friendly and so helpful. It always looks so clean and food always looks so nice and smells nice too. They provide excellent entertainment for the residents as well, which my grandad enjoys. I like that there is a social media page so family and friends can see regular updates on what they have been up to. Well done to all the staff and admin team for all your hard work.
When my dad was admitted he didn't want to go into a home, the lovely staff showed me and my dad around the home, everyone was very friendly. My dad was admitted and absolutely loves it at The Whitecroft. Everyone is very welcoming. My dad is now the resident DJ on a Friday morning playing all the old-school music to the other residents. Maintenance man made my dad a DJ stand for him to put his stereo on. I can't fault any of the staff. My family feel at ease knowing my dad is cared for.
My dad has been a resident for well over a year. I find the staff and management lovely, friendly and helpful. When asked for help they are fantastic. The home is clean and very homely. His room is also nice and always clean. Food looks and smells lovely. I like that they have trips out if they want to go. Also activities, lovley gardens with fish pond. Tables and chairs so my dad can go and relax. I love the entertainment where my dad can have a sing and dance. Family are welcome. It's nice to see him enjoying himself. I cannot fault the home and care for my dad. So glad and grateful he is in The Whitecroft.
Very clean, beautiful surroundings, happy staff. Also does not smell like a home, fantastic fish pond filled with the most beautiful carp. They also do lots of activities with the residents including day trips out to various places. My father-in-law's room is massive including his own bathroom, fireplace, truly amazing.
After experiencing a few other care homes, Whitecroft stands out way above the others. It is always immaculately clean, and the residents are well looked after. They have trips and activities to keep the residents entertained. It is a pleasure to visit my father there and to see him so happy and content. Well done to the management and staff.
First class service from all staff, food and drink is of excellent quality. The cleanliness level is constantly high and the trips are amazing. The activities are brilliant every day and make the days go by. The office and admin staff are so friendly and helpful. Overall I couldn't be happier with the service.
I can't find any fault with the home it's always clean, the staff are friendly, and the residents are really looked after. I like that they take the residents on trips, and also keep us updated with photos on their socials to let us know what they have been doing.
Not having had any dealings with any care home before I had some reservations as to what they were like and feeling a bit bad and sad that we were having to do this, even though it was for his own safety. When we took Dad to the Whitecroft they were really friendly and very helpful. One of the staff took him for a walk to show him around, when he came back he was happy to stay. Since then Dad has settled in and is very happy. He particularly enjoys the trips. They have a gentlemen's club where they do quizzes, games and discussions. As dad loves his music and has lots of CDs he is now the resident DJ which gets the residents and staff dancing. The management send out weekly reports of what has been happening and what is coming up and we love seeing the pictures and videos on social media. We as a family could not be happier knowing that Dad is being well cared for. The staff are courteous and friendly when we visit and we always see them engaging with the residents.
We placed our mum who has dementia into Whitecroft for respite to give us a break from taking care of all her needs, unfortunately, we were disappointed with the personal care Mum received! We found Mum hadn't been bathed/showered in days and when asked why, we were told my Mum didn't want them to wash her and that they have to respect her wishes! They did eventually give her a bath but my mum didn't like them pouring a large jug of water over her head when washing her hair as there wasn't any kind of handheld shower fittings to this dated bathroom! After that l took Mum to her own home to give her a proper bath/shower which defeated the whole reason for us placing Mum into care! I have to say that the care staff who attended to my mum's medication and health care were excellent and we couldn't fault them at all! Just wished we didn't have to take my 93-year-old mum out of this care home after only 18 days of the 4 weeks we had to pay for in advance! There were other issues too!
I am always so grateful that staff try so hard to do the best for the residents. The daily planning seems to be designed to be a combination of fun, continued learning, and sensory activities and works well. The kitchen team, carers and all other staff, without exception, should be complimented on their unfailing ability to make residents happy. My Mum certainly feels comforted by the staff at The Whitecroft.
Our dad has been a resident for the past year. The staff have been very friendly and supportive. Dad enjoys the banter with everyone. Any problems that have arisen have been dealt with care and empathy. All staff should be commended for their hard work and care.
We visit our sister every week if possible, and the staff are always helpful. We take my sister to the restaurant and show her family photos. We are often offered tea and biscuits. Normally, we stay for about an hour. Then she returns to the lounge and her friends.
Your staff are angels, they care so much..they are always on hand to help us as well. Always smiling and polite..we are very pleased. Our resident loves the staff, they treat her like family. Her room is spotless. Thank you
This week I have been supporting the team at the Whitecroft making the home feel Christmassy. I can honestly say spending more time there this week I experienced first-hand the care attention and support the whole team give to the residents there and just wanted to take the time to give the team the recognition they deserve. The staff along with their family and friends have all generously donated several Christmas decorations to help achieve the task.
My mum is very happy at The Whitecroft. She repeatedly says how well she is being looked after and how lovely the staff are. This is a huge relief as she never wanted to go into a care home. Therefore, the decision to look for residential care when it was obvious she could no longer look after herself was a difficult one to take. However, the staff were very helpful from the outset. Mum was impressed with her room when she first saw it and loves being surrounded with photos of her children and grandchildren, as well as looking out on the garden.
I am very glad for the feedback from entertainment etc, that you are doing at the home. My friend seems to be enjoying it and loves Tuesday and Thursday when she goes out. Your residents are always clean and tidy. Thank you all for all your hard work.
So pleased with how mum has settled in at the Whitecroft there are so many activities available and although she may not want to get involved with them all, the choice is there. Mum wasn’t drinking enough and loved the fact that whenever we went in at random times there was a drink nearby. Her kidneys have improved because of this which we are so pleased with. Very clean tidy and such a pleasant home. Mum is happy and so are we! Thank you for all that you do.
