View Full Details of Ashley Arnewood ManorCaring and friendly staff. Warm and comfortable residence.
My mum has been a resident of Ashley Arnewood Manor since January 2024. She was immediately received with much kindness, care and compassion by management and staff. The professionalism shown by all staff in helping Mum to adapt and integrate into her new environment has offered me great peace of mind. Mum enjoys taking part in the activities offered by the home and is very happy and content. I'm always kept very well informed by management as to Mum's general health and pain control being used to manage her painful knees. All of the help, advice and guidance provided by the manager of the home has been invaluable.
My father has been a resident at Ashley Arnewood Manor since his discharge from hospital in September. We wanted a small, homely environment for Dad where he could convalesce and make friends having spent a long time living alone. He had been very unwell. We are absolutely thrilled at the change in him over the last two and a half months. He is thriving, socialising and is clearly very happy telling us that this is the best place for him to be and that he is enjoying living there. Communication with the staff has been brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. It is such a relief for us living quite a distance away, to know that Dad is happy, safe and well looked after.
My aunt has been living at Ashley Arnewood since last October. She had been through quite a traumatic few months so to see how the kindness, care and compassion of the wonderful staff team helped her to settle so quickly, was a pure joy. She is very happy and content which gives me huge peace of mind. My only criticism would be I feel the home could do with a bit of a makeover but the important standards are extremely high from my observations.
The staff at Ashley Arnewood Manor are amazing. Since my husband moved into the care home in October 2022 the staff have made him feel very welcome and done everything they could to help him settle in happily which he has done. My husband has been quite poorly recently and the kindness, care and compassion shown to him by such a professional team of carers has been truly impressive.
My friend has been a resident at Ashley Arnewood Manor for a number of years. On my visits, it is my friend that tells me that she is very happy and comfortable, that she is very well cared for, enjoys her meals and her preferences are catered for. The home is always extremely clean, warm and welcoming and the staff and manager are excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this home.
Mum is streated with love, dignity and the girls always take time to have a few kind words and chat to her. The staff are amazing and keep you well informed on all aspects of life in the home. Mum is very happy and I am pleased to say again, the staff are brilliant.
My mother has been at the home since May 2018, which is the best thing that could have happened to her in the circumstances; she has vascular dementia! Whilst at home despite having a carer, my parents were unable to cope. Mum would become extremely frustrated and agitated often manifesting as verbal aggression. On one or two occasions dad thought she was going to strike out! The situations were becoming intolerable for my father. Personally, I had grave misgivings regarding a care home and would have preferred a live-in carer to enable mum to remain at home with dad; nevertheless, since being in the care of Ashley Arnewood Manor mum is generally more content and openly admits that she could not be anywhere better and loves all the staff whom I cannot praise enough for their wonderfully compassionate care and consideration, along with the lovely environment they work so hard to create and achieve for the residents ensuring that it is as close to home as possible. They are an amazing team; thank you!
My husband entered Ashley Arnewood Manor 8 months ago. Our family and I are very happy with all aspects of his care. The care staff always make us feel welcome and are very friendly. They are also helpful if any problems occur. The home does need some improvements with the building to make it easier for the staff to use wheelchairs out to the garden area to enable residents also to walk around safely.
My experience of Ashley Arnewood has always been excellent. The staff are hardworking and always friendly. At times they have a difficult time with the elderly, but always show how professional they are. The senior carer has been superb with my Aunt and makes her feel extra special. If I had to go into a house I would feel very happy to go to Ashley Arnewood.
My husband has been a resident since February 2017. He is well cared for by considerate and caring staff and management, for which I am very pleased. I have no concerns. I am pleased to recommend Ashley
Such a lovely clean and friendly care home where I am greeted warmly when arriving to take clients out and about. The staff are very professional as well as having an added quality of seeming very relaxed giving a real homely environment.
My mum is in this rest home and she has her issues. The staff here are very good, they let me know when she has an episode. They are very encouraging and well organised in dealing with her. They call me to update me on any information. She stays in bed most of the time now. The staff go up and keep an eye on her. They do get her up and we made the decision if they're happy for her to stay in bed, but they will do their best to get her up. (A little stubborn my mum!)
I found it difficult at first when I arrived for a few days, but when I got used to it at Arnewood Manor it proved satisfactory. The staff were excellent and done all they could to help me during the seven weeks I was here.
My 94-year-old mother was against any form of care. Suffering from dementia it was a constant worry to me. She has settled very well at Arnewood Manor. Her words were "staff are lovely, food very good, nice room, comfortable bed, staff cannot do enough for you". She has only been there for a couple of months. I have no worries about her being there. I pop in regularly and she spends a couple of afternoons at my home, never reluctant to return.
My mother is very happy at Ashley Arnewood Manor it could do with updating but the standard of care, the staff and the food are excellent. My mother's dementia is progressing which is extremely upsetting for us as a family to witness, however, the staff keep us informed at all times and go the extra mile to keep her safe. She has had issues with falling which they try to address and think of different ways to avoid this! I would like to see more activities and stimulus as I feel my mother has become somewhat institutionalised but that may well be dementia.
This is a small care home with very caring staff. Not all the rooms are en-suite which is not good in this 'day and age'. The food is of a good standard. My mother is suffering from dementia and she can be difficult and the staff cope well in the circumstances. Many of the residents spend many hours sleeping so this care home may not be suitable for a mentally active person but the staff do try to interest residents in activities where possible. On the whole, I can recommend this care home.
My Aunt has received very kind and attentive treatment during her residency. The staff are always very helpful and attentive towards my Aunt. Any special requests made by my Aunt are always communicated to me.
My parents, (sadly my father passed away March 2015) moved in 2012. Since day one they have been cared for with patience, consideration, affection and kindness. The home is clean, does not smell and staff are always available and willing to assist. Food is home cooked on site, is varied and excellent with choices at each meal. My mother's hair and nails are done regularly and she is always dressed smartly. I couldn't give better care if she were able to live with me. Whenever I visit I find her happy and I couldn't wish for more.
The home is always clean an fresh. Staff are wonderful- ready and willing to assist and eager to please. They care for the residents as if they are family. Everyone is dressed well and always well presented. Food is excellent - cooked on site and always and always fresh and varied. Residents are encouraged to be as physically and mentally active as possible and personal choices are considered at all times. the home is well supported by local doctors, health visitors, church visitors, volunteers and entertainers. Standards are extremely high but a feeling of "home"is maintained.
