View Full Details of Ashley House Residential Care HomeFrom day one Ashley House and all staff from the kitchen staff, cleaners, carers and the management team have all been exceptional, professional and caring. If we were aware of Ashley House before we could have moved Mum from previous care home a lot sooner.
Ashley House was recommended by a friend who had rated it highly in connection with the care of her mother. I have experience of a number of places with both parents who required care in their latter years and Ashley House was head and shoulders above the rest. It may not be an elegant building set in beautiful grounds, but the quality of care is outstanding. The purpose-built nature of the building makes it feel far less like an institution or hotel and more like a home. It is homely and friendly and the staff, without exception were all kind, caring and attentive. Not once in the whole year and a half my mother was there, did I have any cause for concern in any regard. Ashley House has a happy atmosphere, there appears to be a very low turnover of staff and it is clean and well-maintained. My only comment would be the garden could be improved on a bit but that may well have already been addressed. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Ashley House.
Excellent respite care. Very understanding staff - especially admin staff in supporting me in booking Dad in. Have also helped in booking a future short stay so I can visit friends having a reunion. Very grateful.
On viewing the home I was 100% impressed, was so friendly, caring and very family orientated. Once Mum moved in much against her will as never wanted to go into a home she very quickly decided she wanted to stay even tho initially it was for respite. The relief of knowing she's safe 24/7 is amazing. The staff are totally amazing, not met a member who is not 110% committed to making the lives of the residents like home.
Every time I visit my brother-in-law at Ashley House the staff are always welcoming and attentive to the residents. the home is always clean and nicely furnished which makes it homely.
Excellent service. Staff are very friendly and helpful in all situations. Excellent management. I'd give Ashley House Residential Care Home A1. Well done.
Excellent service with friendly staff/carers. Residents are well looked after.
I have found the staff, in all departments, caring. Nothing is too much trouble. The laundry ladies are very quick in getting clothes washed and returned. Activities are well-organised. Glad my husband is in Ashley House Residential Care Home.
Since my grandmother arrived at Ashley House in the winter of 2021 (initially for respite) she was treated with kindness, compassion and respect by all staff members. She has remained at Ashley House ever since and has formed some great relationships with other residents and staff. I cannot fault the staff here, they always go above and beyond for my grandmother and other residents, making sure they are always happy and cared for. Thank you so much for everything you do.
Whenever I visit my mother, Ashley House is always clean and the staff friendly. It is obvious the staff all care for the residents, and I know my mother receives so much love and attention from them all. It is a difficult job for them looking after people of varying stages of dementia, but I never see any signs of frustration or impatience. I am always greeted by the staff with courtesy and interest, and they always update me with any changes that occur, in particular, related to her physical and mental health. I have occasionally taken my two dogs into Ashley House, and the excitement of all the residents and staff is palpable. It's such a joy to have them welcomed as they are always pleased to have strokes (and to hoover up any food that has fallen on the floor!). I will definitely conclude that Ashley House has been a wonderful choice for me to house my mother.
Ashley House could not have looked after my mother-in-law better than they did. They were so kind and caring, not just to mother-in-law, but to us as well. They clearly valued our mother-in-law, treating her with the utmost respect and understanding. We are very grateful for this positive experience.
My mother went in for respite, the place is homely, the staff are amazing, was so worried about putting my mother in there but she was content and happy, even had a lovely haircut. Thank you so much to all the staff. Thank you so very much.
I visited Ashley House before my mother was a resident and was welcome by friendly staff. What struck me most was the busy open room just inside the front door where residents were occupied with craft activities and also serves as the dining room. The rest of the home is bright and colourful. Outside each room is a memory box that tells you a little about the resident along with their names. A brightly coloured 'front door' must be helpful for residents to find their 'home'. Now that my mother is a resident, the staff could not have been more welcoming for what is a stressful time, nothing is too much trouble. Her room and ensuite are warm and spotlessly clean. Visiting is at any time and we have explored the home together visiting the resident budgerigar and fish, the hairdressers and various areas where friends and family can meet outside the resident's bedroom. When I left my mother this morning she was looking forward to a tasty lunch and a visit to the shops later.
Residents are treated like family. Every resident has a 'front door' style entry to their rooms to feel like a home. The rooms are spacious for additional furniture. The residents are nurtured with activities and visitors e.g. the local nursery school come to play, sing, do puzzles etc. All the staff have total respect for the residents and will happily play along even if the conversation is on repeat with residents' dementia. My granny feels like she is at home and is allowed to feel as if she is helpful and meaningful.
Very welcoming and happy environment, the lounge is always busy with residents. My mum has been in for two weeks and the difference is amazing. She is happy and loves the interaction with all the staff and residents. She came from sheltered accommodation and she had become depressed, no interaction with anyone, the lounge was always empty. So I would definitely recommend to any of my friends to come and look around.
My mother has been in Ashley House Bordon since October 2021. The quality of care has been excellent, the staff is always hugely helpful, nothing is too much effort and my mother has settled in well. Food and facilities are excellent; she is happily putting weight back on that was needed. Special praise goes to the member of staff who manages the visitation process; he is so helpful and always positive and has made the whole process so much more manageable for us all - bless him!
My father-in-law was a resident for the last 5 months of his life where I have nothing but praise for the care home staff. They have been so wonderful and professional in the care that they provided I can't thank them enough. We were kept informed and advised of every step they took to ensure that my father-in-law was as comfortable as could be.
We have been very pleased with our experience with Ashley House so far and it has only been a matter of weeks. Dad arrived at Ashley House on 6 August 2021 as his previous home was unable to fulfill all of his challenging needs. Since being at Ashley House these last two and a half months some of those challenging needs have been in abeyance as the care team has been pulling out all the stops and adapting their care to dad's needs. We have been very impressed by this versatility and responsiveness and their ability to think 'outside the box' to come up with something that works for dad. Every one being different. It is early days but we are optimistic that Ashley House is the just the right place for dad. We're looking forward to getting to know all of the staff better as dad settles in and makes himself at home! A big thank you to Ashley House.
Ashley House is clean and homely. The staff are very caring. My mother came in for respite care and is going home more mobile and much healthier than when she came in.
Ashley House is a great care home, and have provided quality care support for my husband since his arrival. The home is nice, the gardens are very relaxing and the staff work to ensure all his needs are met.
