View Full Details of Beacon HouseThe care home is exactly what it says, all the staff care, they go above and beyond to keep residents safe, happy and card for, nothing is too much trouble. They are superb.
The care provided by staff at Beacon House is very professional, compassionate and respectful. Beacon House is small, some 23 beds, set in peaceful landscaped gardens with access for elderly mobility. The rooms are nicely decorated and the home is well maintained, heated, light and airy. Activities meet resident's abilities and include regular visiting entertainment. Residents and families are made to feel special when Christmas and birthdays are celebrated. Mila, a therapy dog, is a regular visitor and much loved. I am extremely grateful to management, carers and support staff for their patience, kindness and affection which my wife received during her 6 years residency. Beacon House is a home from home.
My brother moved to Beacon House in 2018 having previously lived in two local residential care homes. It was certainly a case of third-time lucky. He lived there for six years until his very sad death in July 2024. Beacon House is a lovely building set in attractive grounds providing a comfortable, peaceful and safe environment. It is extremely well managed with caring staff. The care that the staff gave him was outstanding. I am so appreciative of the commitment and dedication shown to him by all staff. The challenges that he may have presented were met by the carers who were patient, professional and effective, and always showed such warmth. A family atmosphere exists at Beacon House which provides a real home to residents; my brother came to love his room and home at Beacon House. I am so grateful and pleased that he spent his last six years there. I cannot thank all the staff enough for their care and for looking after him so wonderfully well. I would highly recommend Beacon House.
On arrival at the care home, I am always impressed with the reception and very pleased with the care and attention shown to my wife and all the residents there. They always keep me updated with the progress of my wife and any problems ensuing, my wife is happy and getting used to the changes. I am very happy with the placement. And love the home and staff.
When looking for a safe and restful residential care home for my wife, who suffers from dementia, I knew from my first visit that Beacon House was the one! Set in beautiful gardens, this small privately owned residential home is managed by an individual that I cannot speak too highly of. She is kind, caring and supportive, which permeates through to her team of carers and auxiliary workers. Residents and family alike are treated with love, care and dignity, nothing is too much for the staff. It is immensely reassuring to observe their ongoing investments in the business, to staff, buildings and amenities. I would highly recommend Beacon House to anyone looking for a caring home for their loved one.
My review covers all the years my godmother has stayed at Beacon House. All the staff have been fantastic, very caring, kind, considerate and compassionate. My godmother who is nearly 102 is very, very happy here.
My Nan was with Beacon House for eight months and up until the end of that time they were fabulous from start to finish. The food looks amazing and from what my Nan says tastes amazing too and it’s all fresh. The security is second to none and my Nan in her final days was so happy and looked after.
The home's clean and warm. Staff are friendly and welcoming with all Covid protections covered. My mother's happy and well cared for; she enjoys her meals and can eat in her room if she wants. Entertainment events are now on with a good mix and a residents group with ideas and feedback given in a newsletter. The grounds are well cared for, a nice area for walking and sitting, and residents help plant tubs and baskets.
I have little to add to my review from the third of September 2020 and can only say that the manager and all the staff at Beacon House continues to provide the same level of outstanding care to my mother, who is now 102-years old. In spite of all the challenges thrown up by the Covid-19 pandemic over the last 2-years. They are to be commended, not only on keeping everyone safe, but also on how they have managed to look after my mother in the same caring way as they did before the outbreak, week in and week out. We cannot thank the staff enough!
Mum moved to Beacon House in October 2020 from another care home. Mum settled in very quickly and despite restrictions imposed on visiting during the pandemic on the occasions when I have been able to visit I have seen that she is relaxed and content. Despite being diagnosed with dementia her mental health and well being appear to have improved since the move. I have been advised that she is sleeping very well and loves the food. Staff attending her during my visits always appear to treat her with affection which she reciprocates. Hard to comment on the following options as I have never been inside because of Covid-19 restrictions so based on limited observation and conversations with staff.
Beacon House has been extremely helpful and supportive since my mother moved into full-time care. All her needs are addressed and the support from staff is excellent. Safety of the residents in these times is paramount.
Home from home! Staff are excellent and always very friendly. Food is the traditional, warming, comfort food that the residents are familiar with. During lockdown, we were updated weekly on how our mother was doing and visiting since early July has been very well organised. The welfare of the resident is their main priority at all times.
This is an outstanding home where great efforts are made to accommodate the wishes and comfort of our relation living there. We admire the commitment of the staff, the level of personal attention and the highly effective response from a very early date to the Covid threat.
Mum has been at Beacon House for 18 months, and she loves it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The events held at the home are family-related and everyone is invited. Trips are arranged out to various places. The home is clean and kept in good order. The residents live as one big family, and all seem very happy.
My dad has resided in Beacon House for the last eighteen months, from day one he loved it there. He was looked after so well and all his needs were met. Staff are so friendly and caring all went above and beyond in there duties. Dad sadly passed away recently and we can not thank the staff for making his last eighteen months so enjoyable for him.
Beacon House is a care home for the elderly and those with dementia. It is situated on the edge of Fleet in Hampshire in lovely garden surroundings. At the front is a spacious garden for the residents to use with seating and trees for shade in the summer months. It is always hard to make the decision with a loved one or for a loved one that residential care is the next best option. However, our Mother was welcomed and has been cared for very well. The staff are friendly and always ready to talk and discuss the best care needs for a resident. The rooms are of a generous size and although they are not all en-suite a bathroom is nearby. I would not hesitate to recommend Beacon House. Give them a call for yourself.
My Aunt has been at Beacon House for two years. She is well looked after by the staff and the Manager is first class and will always respond to any problem I may have mentioned. The home is very welcoming and pleasant.
My Great Aunt has been a resident at Beacon House for 4 years. I feel extremely lucky to have found such an amazing place for her to live. The staff are all caring and friendly but professional and respectful and always have her needs at the forefront of everything they do. They go out of their way to make sure the home feels like my Aunties home. Although my Aunty is too frail to participate any longer, there is regular entertainment and trips, and the house has lovely grounds to sit and get fresh air.
Very happy with the care that my great aunty receives. Staff are very friendly and caring and clearly enjoy the work they are doing.
A very caring environment, particularly in relation to dementia/Alzheimer's patients like my wife. The facility is most notable for its extraordinary and extraordinarily compassionate staff at every level.
