View Full Details of Beechwood House Nursing HomeThe staff could not have been more helpful or caring, they are all dedicated to the comfort and best quality care for all their patients. My experience from my husband's admission to his death could not have been made any easier. They are very friendly and always ready to explain or assist at every opportunity. I would recommend Beechwood House Nursing Home to anyone who needed a positive experience of a nursing home.
As a family, we cannot praise or recommend all of the staff at Beechwood House enough. My dad came to Beechwood in January 2024 for end-of-life care after being in hospital for 3 months. Sadly he died after only 2 weeks of being in their care however, we wish he had spent longer as the care and attention he received was amazing. This home is run superbly, all the staff are polite yet genuinely caring not only to their residents but to families as well. My mum was supported during his last weeks by the staff and was not left out of any decision that was made concerning his care and was made to feel welcome as we all were even during busy times. He was kept so clean and dressed appropriately- unlike the busy hospital he left where all he wore was a gown despite us changing him to his own pajamas! The food was exceptional which was available to us as well during our visits. Beechwood House cares with all of the NHS values at the forefront of all they do. Thank you.
My stepfather has been in Beechwood since November 2023, the level of care has been outstanding. All staff work hard to ensure all needs are met. The home is spotlessly clean, food is excellent and varied. Entertainment is good, always something going on to keep the residents entertained. Laundry service is good. All staff are warm and welcoming every time I visit, anytime, day or night
A big thank you to all the staff at Beechwood. They looked after my grandmother for the last 4 months of her life and all the staff were kind, considerate, helpful, and absolute stars. Thank you for everything you did - it was very much appreciated.
Both of my parents are very happy at Beechwood House, Mum has been a resident for several months and Dad has arrived more recently. They were both made to feel welcome from the moment they arrived and settled in very quickly. The care they receive has never been short of exceptional. All of the staff are always so cheerful, considerate and caring; there is a real family vibe that makes it feel very homely. As visitors, we are greeted warmly at any time of day and we're kept up to date on Mum and Dads wellbeing. We always leave the home in good spirits, reassured that their individual needs are being well catered for.
There are no words to describe how thankful and grateful myself and my brother are to you all for the love, care, kindness, and respect that was shown to our dad. Our dad was only with you for a short while before he passed, but he was so very well cared for. Everyone at Beechwood House are truly amazing! Filled with love, kindness, respect and amazing care. Nothing is too much trouble, everyone goes above and beyond. We will never forget what you did for our dad and can never thank you enough!
My dad spent the last 5 months of his life at Beechwood House and we couldn't have wished for a better place for him to spend those months. Coming out of hospital very poorly and disorientated, it didn't take him too long to settle in and improve as much as his condition would allow and this was down to the care and attention of the wonderful staff and the great cooking from the kitchen staff! He built up a real rapport with many of the staff and had such lovely banter with them and genuinely seemed very happy there. There is a real family feel and you are made to feel welcome at whatever time of day you go in! My dad was listened to by all members of staff who would carry out his wishes but were very mindful of his safety as they were of all their residents. The dignity that he was treated with at the end of his life was overwhelming and we can't express how grateful we are for that and the support they gave the family. I would 100% recommend the team at this nursing home 5*.
Very happy with the care given to my partner. He seems happy enough here. My only gripe is that sometimes it takes forever to answer the door! I understand people are busy though. The staff are friendly, residents seem happy most of the time.
My dad came to Beechwood House Nursing Home for the last few weeks of his life. The amazing staff throughout. Staff were there for his needs 24/7. Couldn't have wished for anything better for him. 100% in every way. They went above and beyond. Thanks ever so much everyone.
All staff are very kind and gentle to my husband and always polite to his family and make them welcome. He has only been with them a few months and instead of a very angry man, he is now back to his old self. I did not want to leave him in the first place but now we know we have done the right thing. I will say a very big thank you to all the staff for giving me back the gentle kind husband I did have.
I would like to say that every time I have called the home and visited, we have been made to feel very welcome. The staff are cheerful, and everybody you see speaks and smiles. They were prompt in answering the call bell and always happy to help. They all banter with my mother-in-law, and they take time to chat with her, even though she is very deaf. There was only one issue in the bathroom, the raised toilet seat was dirty, and there was no toilet roll or hand towels. You are all doing an amazing job.
My mum was a resident at Beechwood for only a short time but was given excellent care and attention. Staff were excellent at communication constantly updating wherever the needs arose to discuss and always including the family about mum's care. The love, respect and dignity mum was given when she passed was outstanding and the same attention to the family was so appreciated at such a sad time.
This is a lovely care home! The staff are always very welcoming. They are very kind and caring, my husband is very happy here. Having said that although he thinks the world of the staff they often have agency in which do not give the same level of care. I also have not been able to visit my husband as often as I would like due to having to keep closing the home because of covid.
I have found the care offered at Beechwood House is second to none. The staff are understanding and supportive of residents and welcoming to visitors. My husband is really well cared for by the staff who take the time to monitor his health, wellbeing and make sure he is happy and comfortable. The staff communicate with us frequently and are always informative and reassuring. We couldn't praise them highly enough!
Since I wrote my previous review last June, I have to say that the very high and professional level of care that the staff at Beechwood House have given to my dear wife has never once faltered. It gives me such peace of mind to know that she is receiving the best care possible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During the pandemic, there have been shortages of staff due to Covid which has coincided with my wife's care becoming more demanding, but everyone there has stepped up and done a wonderful job to keep everything covered. I am truly thankful to everyone there, for their hard work and dedication; and for the support that they give me as well.
I cannot fault the way my husband has been received by the staff. He has been treated with respect and endless patience at all times. My mind has been set at rest knowing he is cared for and in a safe environment accepting that a loved one needs care is a difficult decision and Beechwood has made the transition much easier for me. A big thank you to all the staff and management.
It is a wonderful "homely" home with a warm, friendly atmosphere. As a visitor, I'm always treated with as much respect as my friend, the resident. He is happy and extremely well cared for always clean, neat and tidy as are the surroundings. he always says the food is very good. It is obvious the staff actually care about the people they are looking after. Happy staff is a reflection of good management.
My mother was in the care of Beechwood House for 3 years. During this time she was treated with kindness respect and dignity by all of the staff at Beechwood. The facilities are very good, food at an excellent standard and rooms and premises are kept clean to a high standard. Mum always enjoyed the activities and entertainment especially the singing and dancing. A lovely home to spend time in.
The care my client received from this home was outstanding. He loved every minute of staying at the home for almost three years. The staff endeavoured to meet his needs wherever possible understanding his psychological and health needs, I would highly recommend it.
Being the first time I have ever entered a nursing home I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean, safe but friendly the home was. We were made to feel very welcome. The manager had good contact with us along with all the nursing staff, we were shown around by the activity coordinator who came across as being fun and caring and wanting to make the residents happy with activities to suit individuals likes. The room, food and menus looked very homely. The other residents looked clean and happy. There was no horrible smells. My mother-in-law always says she wants to go home but is now saying after a short time she likes it there and would like to stay, well done all.
