View Full Details of Belmont Castle Care HomeMy husband has only been here for just over a month but it has been a very safe period. His falls has lessened because of the care he has here. All the staff are excellent, very caring and compassionate. Belmont Castle is always warm and inviting. There are a lot of activites every day. The food is very good and plenty of it. Belmont Castle residental home is a place we would recommend to everybody.
My mum joined the Belmont Castle Care Home in June 2024. She took a little bit of settling in (she has Alzheimer's dementia and can be quite grumpy). In six months, the staff have taken the time to get to know her and work with her and she really has become so much more settled and content. It is lovely to see her smiling when we visit. She has her favourites and the team have got to know her and are brilliant with her. Both me and my brother feel so relieved after a really tough couple of years trying to do everything for our mum ourselves to know that she is safe, happy and well looked after. We chose Belmont because it had a lovely, homely feel and the staff made us feel welcome. Mum loves gardens and birds and animals so the aviary and garden area outside in the summer are a lovely bonus for her. It is not an easy decision to make on behalf of a loved one to send them to a home but now our mum has settled which is down to the hard work of all the staff at Belmont, I am pleased we chose here.
Sadly, my husband was only in Belmont Castle Care Home for one week before he suddenly and sadly, passed away. During that time, he was treated with great care and was happy and contented. All the staff are caring and efficient. The general ambience of Belmont Castle is welcoming and homely, the general appearance, both inside and outside, is well-kept.
My friend came to Belmont Castle Care Home from hospital. When she arrived, she was greeted by such happy, smiley, helpful staff who made her feel welcome straight away. Me and my friend had a coffee together before going to her lovely room. Day two of visiting my friend, I was so shocked as to how she was such a different person, happy, smiling and talking! She seemed so settled. The lifestyle lead has been amazing.
My experience of Belmont Castle Care Home is very good. I enjoy visiting and find all the staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
A very friendly and warm place. I was completely comfortable with my mum being there. The staff are on another level. They make the residents feel like family. The premises are lovely and spacious. The rooms are a good size and ensuite. The food is excellent. Plenty of activities and also quiet spaces. Since my mum has now passed away, I miss going in there. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.
My mother has resided at Belmont Castle Care Home for about ten months now and as a family, we are extremely pleased with her care and well-being. The staff have been most welcoming, understanding and kind, they treat my mum with compassion and inclusion which in turn, makes all our family feel included and considered both in her well-being and medical care. We all feel she is treated as an individual and her needs at the forefront of her care, they are lovely staff and the length most of them have been there is testament to the care home.
I am really pleased with the care my wife is getting from the staff at Belmont Castle Care Home. It has made a big difference to the way she is now and before she went there, she joins in with all the games etc. and seems to be a lot happier than before she went there. She has also made a lot of new friends. All the staff are excellent and can't do more to help her. They also treat me as one of the gang and get me to join in with what they are doing. Thank you.
The staff at Belmont Castle Care Home are fantastic! They consistently go above and beyond in the care my mother-in-law receives. She is quite a fussy eater and often wants a meal not in the menu for that day. The staff will always provide something she fancies without fuss. As they have got to know her, they will offer an alternative before she asks! The well-being team are fantastic and encourages her to participate in activities while letting her choose a talent in itself!
My mother has had several falls. The staff always keep in touch to let me know the details of the fall. They are very kind to Mum and always reassure her. The staff, from top to bottom, are fantastic. I am very happy that we chose Belmont Castle Care Home.
Very friendly home. Staff are so friendly, so many activities happening in the home, where families and friends are always invited to join in.
Having looked at about ten care homes in the area, we decided on Belmont Castle Care Home. Belmont Castle has not let my sister down as the staff are very active and pleasant. She has plenty of activities to do and has a lovely en-suite bedroom. My sister has found residents she can have a laugh with and I am sure that she will enjoy the garden when spring comes.
The care Mum has been given in Belmont Castle has been wonderful. They are a lovely team who all do their best for the residents. The food is wonderful too - all homemade. The activities have given Mum so much enjoyment - baking cakes, singing, balloon tennis. Seeing the therapy dog and having regular visits from the local children's nursery. A lot of thought and care goes into making the resident's lives happy and comfortable.
We had been searching for the perfect new home for Nan. Belmont made us feel so welcome, supported and showed general care and interest. We knew this had to be Nan's new 'castle' fit for the queen she should be! Thank you for making her so happy and supported, the care and love from everyone is brilliant! We love visiting and seeing Nan so happy! Thank you.
My dad settled in really quickly and is enjoying his stay. The staff are very friendly and easy to speak to.
My father has been in the home for just over two years and I feel he has been very well cared for. The facilities are dated but recent refurb has improved things. The staff have been very considerate in looking after my dad's needs in every way.
A very homely feel when you arrive. The staff are welcoming and chatty. Always kept informed of any issues regarding Mum. Activities are excellent and Mum really enjoys joining in when able.
Very good. The staff are very helpful. Lots of things going on for the residents and families were included and kept updated.
When looking for a place for my mother-in-law, Belmont sounded like the ideal environment but we were told what we wanted to hear, e.g. activities daily, stimulation and medical support. After being there for two days we visited to find her alone in a chair with back pain, I asked as to why pain relief wasn't given, the response was "she didn't have a prescription for paracetamol"; (so what happens if residents have a headache) when I then phoned emergency number who sent one to the pharmacy. Since then she's had a number of water infections due to lack of fluids, and missed medication for 5 day's then 9 days. If I could get an emergency prescription why couldn't they after one day? We feel this has set her back in her health. She had a number of falls and resistance had to call out for help, one fall resulting in fracturing her elbow. This resulted in her losing the mobility of her leg because she relied on a frame for walking. We've since moved her and she's improving.
This was my first visit and I was impressed by the warmth and cleanliness of the rooms I went in. The staff members were very welcoming and one lady, in particular, was very informative about the home and procedures and activities. Overall for a first visit, very good.
