View Full Details of Blossom HouseMy mother recently passed, was a resident at Blossom House Care Home for over three years. My brother and I, with our partners, regularly visited Mum in the care home. We were always impressed with the quality of care she received from the excellent staff at Blossom House. The cleanliness and care are always of a very high standard which we are pleased to recommend to anyone considering a place in a care environment.
I find all carers to be cheerful, kind and warmly loving to residents, always polite and friendly to me when I call. I find them all - office staff and carers - patient and attentive. I am very reassured that Blossom House is a happy and homely home.
We are happy with the care etc. but cannot give in-depth comments as we have only been in contact for six weeks at the moment.
My mother has been residing at Blossom House since October 23, and I never thought I would find a home suitable for her. She has settled in and is happy there. Blossom House has great staff and the room my mother has is lovely. She gets looked after well.
A wonderful residence. Competent and caring staff. All residents are well cared for and in an excellent environment. Rooms are clean and all needs cared for with dignity and respect by a wonderful staff compliment.
Blossom House is filled with kind and caring staff who take the time to ensure their residents are cared for as you would care for them yourself. They maintain a high standard and despite her physical and mental problems my mother has come to regard them as family. I can thoroughly recommend this lovely home.
I cannot speak highly enough of Blossom House care home. My husband was looked after as though he was a member of their own family. He was definitely happy there. But not only did they care for him so well , they cared for me his wife, always. His Daughter and Granddaughter felt the same way, while we sat by his bedside during the final stages of his life. They made us feel loved, cared for, and comforted. Have told my son, to book me in this care home when the time comes.
My dad came to Blossom House for respite in July 2022 and it became clear that he needed full-time care. The staff and management have been a family for my dad and I cannot fault their care and loving, respectful attention. I know that he enjoyed his time here and had fun and a fulfilled stay. When it was clear my dad was at the end of his life, we were welcomed to stay 24/7 with open arms. Staff cared for us, hugged us, supported us, fed us and even gave us towels and toiletries to shower. Nothing was too much trouble. I have no hesitation in recommending Blossom House for anyone’s loved one, especially if they have dementia. If you visit, what you see is absolutely what you get. The residents are happy and fulfilled, loved and cared for by amazingly dedicated staff who work over their hours and above and beyond the care they should offer. The home is cosy, joyful and full of life and character. Do not hesitate to visit and see for yourself. Thank you to all the amazing staff.
Clean premises, friendly atmosphere, responsive to needs. Approachable staff and management.
Very pleased with the care my sister received. She was very happy there. The staff were excellent, very friendly. The home was always spotless and no smells. Well recommended.
The Blossom House staff are always caring and thoughtful and go out of their way to make Mum feel safe and comfortable. There's always a friendly welcome when we visit.
Since taking up residence in Blossom House eight months ago, my sister-in-law has been well cared for. The staff are always welcoming and treat her very fondly and she is always addressed with respect, even though she is unaware of activities around her. I travel from Bath to visit each month and the staff are also interested in me. A very good care home, well-run.
My mother does not have dementia - I am very pleased she has a room which is in a quiet area where people do not wander into her room or scream and shout. I do think it's important that there are separate areas for dementia and non-dementia residents. Staff have always been very polite, helpful and kind.
I am writing this review after my partner, who has a brain injury, stayed at Blossom House Care Home. He was cared for well by a very caring, supportive, experienced team of people. Nothing was too much trouble and we were grateful for the time he spent there. They never failed to answer the phone whenever we needed to talk to them or him.
Very good standard of care. Stimulating environment.
Mum has been at Blossom House Care Home for more than seven years and I can relax knowing that she is happy and well cared for. The staff are amazing and seem like part of the family. In the early stages of Mum's dementia she was very hard to manage and yet they did so with care and good humour. These days she is a quieter resident but still the staff know her and us and we always feel welcome when we go to visit.
My father-in-law sadly developed rapidly worsening Alzheimer's and we had to admit him to a home urgently. That home (not Blossom House) was not a good experience. The staff could not cope with his intermittent agitation, facilities were poor and he was not happy. We moved him to Blossom House and our experience could not have been more different. He has a smart room, the facilities are good. He is free to wander around the garden whenever he wishes and most importantly the managers and staff have shown him great care, empathy and warmth even though at times his agitation due to his dementia has been really challenging for them.
My father was a resident in Blossom House for over four and a half years. We were always pleased with the care and attention he received, especially towards the end when the staff showed such love and affection for him. Always seemed such a joyful place.
Overall we are pleased with the care that my father receives. There have been times (on previous visits prior to COVID-19 lockdown) that Dad hasn't had his false teeth "glued in" (I have provided a denture adhesive-type product) or is not wearing his hearing aids, which can be a little upsetting but is usually rectified fairly swiftly upon mentioning to a staff member.
The very first time I went to look round the care home I knew it was the perfect place for my godmother. Blossom House has the most outstanding staff and the level of care, compassion and patience are incredible. All the staff are so kind and nothing is too much trouble. They help my godmother and care for all her needs despite her challenges due to her dementia. They also stay in touch constantly and will always return my calls and nothing is to much trouble. Whenever I visit the welcome you receive from all the staff is so lovely and all the residents look so content and well cared for within the home. I can not praise this care home enough. They have given my godmother somewhere she can feel safe and be well looked after during the challenges that dementia faces.
