View Full Details of Enbridge HouseEnbridge House is a beautiful old building with lovely gardens where Mum and I like to sit when the weather permits. We admire the views, watch kites and buzzards, the resident chickens and one day peacocks. The grounds are well maintained in a natural way by the gardeners. The home is warm and nicely decorated, with many original features. Food is home-cooked and appropriate for the wishes and appetites of the residents and served with a glass of wine. Staff are delightful; so patient and friendly to every 'guest' and visitors too.
Firstly, Mum came to Enbridge House for respite a few times over a period of time, including last Christmas. Mum loved her rest bite times at the home and made a lovely friendship with another resident. After her Christmas stay, Mum decided she wanted to stay for good. She has a lovely cosy little room, which she loves. Mum has dementia and the work and care that Mum gets is second to none. The carers are fantastic and the love they give to Mum and all the residents is amazing. They all are wonderful. We, as a family are left happy knowing Mum is safe and well looked after. I couldn't ask for any more love and care Mum gets. Mum needs more care for her dementia and being at Enbridge House now I know she will get the care and support the more the dementia sets in. Just a wonderful place to be.
I have always found that the staff at Enbridge House are very caring and have helped my mother enormously. She has found losing some of her faculties difficult to come to terms with but they have made this process considerably easier for her.
We, as a family, are very grateful to Enbridge House for the excellent care they give our mother. Through no fault of Enbridge House, Mother became seriously ill in 2022 and had it not been for the medical knowledge, knowing where to resource medical support and their caring staff, we do not think our mother would still be with us. Our mother is very comfortable in her lovely room, enjoys her meals and has fun with the caring staff.
My mother-in-law was admitted to Enbridge House care home in 2021. She was very happy there before she passed away in January. She had a lovely room overlooking the garden, the staff were all very kind and caring and the atmosphere was warm and homely. She also loved her food. We are very grateful to everyone for their care and kindness during her stay. Thank you!
I am a carer for my Nan, and needed somewhere that would take her for respite, so that I could get a break. After phoning around, and having no luck, I came across Enbridge, and thank goodness I did. The manager and her team are clearly a wonderful set of genuinely kind people, and have gone out their way to accommodate both me and my Nan, even on short notice. I can tell that they really care about their residents, not to mention the home is in a beautiful countryside setting and has a very comforting feel. I now know there is somewhere for my Nan to go when I might need a break (as long as there is a bed available of course!) Highly recommended.
My mother has been a resident at Enbridge House since January 2019 and she has been well cared for throughout this time. She has vascular dementia and therefore requires significant assistance as her mobility is limited and often has difficulty communicating. The staff have provided this and treated her with patience and respect. There seems to have been little staff turnover during this time and I have been really impressed with the consistent kindness and care shown. They have performed wonderfully during the pandemic, keeping residents safe and maintaining their staffing levels. Enbridge has a relatively small number of residents and has a homely feel. Meals are good. Whilst there may not be as many organised activities as a large care home this suits my mother. I have visited a number of care homes in the last few years and I can honestly say that Enbridge has always struck me as having the most friendly atmosphere and being most like a real 'home'.
My aunt spent the final 7-years of her life at Enbridge House, initially paying privately but, when eventually her funds ran out, graduating to county council support. Her experiences with "home care" and a trial period in a more modern/efficient care home in the area had been depressing, as the personnel in both situations had not made meaningful personal contact with her, to the point of apparent rudeness. It was, therefore, a relief to find that after a few weeks settling in at Enbridge House. My aunt formed an excellent relationship with the owner and staff, and frequently told us that she was happy to be there. In her late 90s and when she passed her 100th birthday, she became increasingly unable to hear conversations or to concentrate on them, so the family atmosphere of the home, the cheerfully attentive attitude of the carers, and their knack of bypassing hurdles to communication made her day-to-day existence bearable. I obviously don't accept the findings of the CQC Report.
My mother resided at Enbridge until she died peacefully on 11th July 2021 aged 98. She was so well cared for in every way and her last four years were comfortable and happy. The palliative care she was given at the end of her long life was everything we could have wished for. She had a beautiful room with her favourite things around her, where she could look out on the garden and sky. She was treated with respect, dignity and love. Thank you, Enbridge.
I have been visiting my friend at Enbridge for the last 6-7 years, and the care has always been amazing. We didn't expect her to last another year, but because of the wonderful carers, she is still well and very happy. I was a carer in the community, followed by a carer then acitivities coordinator in care homes for more than thirty years. Enbridge House is one home I would be proud to work in and love to visit.
A real "home" where residents are loved and cared for. Kind, caring staff who show endless patience. Fresh food cooked from scratch daily. Beautiful, peaceful grounds, well-tended for the enjoyment of all. Vistors made welcome.
My mother moved into Enbridge House in 2018. The owners and staff have been incredibly kind and accommodating right from the start. They do everything they can to make daily life for the residents feel like home, and they succeed. My mother has a beautiful room that was freshly painted when she moved in and had some brand new furniture. She’s been able to hang her treasured pictures on the walls and has created her own little garden with the support of the gardener. The care staff are totally committed to giving the highest standards of care and treat the more frail residents with the utmost tenderness and patience. The cook prepares nourishing home-cooked food and every effort is made to cater to the residents’ dietary preferences. What is remarkable is how well the whole team has managed during the pandemic when faced with the greatest of challenges. We are constantly grateful that our mother has found such a comfortable, safe and welcoming place to live.
Nice environment. My mother is well looked after by caring staff. The owners are always approachable and happy to discuss any aspect.
Have found all the staff at the care home very caring and compassionate to my mother. A very homely atmosphere.
I visited my husband twice a day whilst he was resident at Enbridge. I was always greeted warmly and not made to feel unwelcome. The carers really did care, doing their job with dedication and fondness for everyone. The food was excellent and looked very appetising. The two ladies who ran the care home went out of their way to be most helpful and very efficient. My husband was looked after with dignity and utmost care.
After providing 24-hour care for my stepfather for five months with virtually no sleep for my husband and me, we reluctantly decided to place my stepfather in a care home. We wanted a small privately owned friendly homely home with qualified, experienced nurses, long-serving staff and individual needs catered for re food. In Enbridge House, we found all this and after nine months my 96-year-old stepfather calls it 'home'. A relief for me and a big compliment to the staff who have looked after him so well. We are always welcome and the most reassuring thing is when the staff are dealing with residents and are not aware of our presence. They act in exactly the same way ie caring as they exhibit when they know we are spectators. This shows we are not mistaken with the staff or the ethos of our chosen home, a credit to the two sisters who own and run the home.
My friend was admitted to Enbridge following an extensive period in hospital due a fall in her home. She had lost weight, was very tired and looked unwell. The care received resulted in an almost complete recovery which enabled her to return early in the new year. She received excellent care, had the opportunity to have long "lie-in's" and had a room with a pleasant countryside view. We cannot thank the staff enough, their patience, consideration and overall care was exemplary.
Mother has been at Enbridge House for almost 10 years and in that time she has been treated with respect, dignity and well-being all that time at the age of 103, sometimes that can be hard at times, she is a very stubborn lady!!
My aunt has been a resident for 8 years - celebrated her 108th birthday in February 2017. A wonderful home and the care is superb.
I am very happy with all aspects of Enbridge House. My Mother is very happy, which makes me happy with her staying here. I have always been welcomed when I visit. I always have a chat with the staff, they keep me informed on Mum. All the staff are friendly to me, I hope Mum can stay here to continue our relationship. 11 out of 10!
