View Full Details of Hollybank Rest HomeHollybank Rest Home is truly a home from home and my Mum receives so much love and care that she is positively thriving there. She is encouraged to join in the many activities taking place but equally if she chooses not to her wishes are respected. All the staff are so kind and my Mum feels like she is part of a large loving family full of laughter and cuddles.
A few words to describe our experience with Hollybank Rest Home would be happy, Kind, helpful, friendly, flexible, amazing service. we visited my mum during the Christmas holiday and took her out 4 days in a row, it was not an easy task in that she can hardly walk. Hollybank gave us such an amazing service and helped so much that this was 4 very successful days. When mum got back from being out the staff looked after her and were extremely helpful. They are always so friendly and helpful and my mum is extremely happy there. Nothing to complain about what so ever.
My Mother-in-law has been living at Hollybank Rest Home for over four years and is very happy there. We like the fact that Hollybank is a small privately run Home, as it means my Mother in law has built good relationships with all the staff and they know her and her ways very well. She is very well looked after and treated with dignity and respect. The Home is always spotless and is kept very well maintained. Staff are warm, welcoming and very well qualified. My Mother-in -law enjoys the varied activities and entertainments that the home provides and has a weekly timetable so that she knows what is on and can choose what she wishes to participate in. She also enjoys relaxing in her comfortable room with ensuite facilities. She enjoys the varied and nutritious meals provided. It is wonderful for us knowing that she is safe, happy and very well cared for.
My mothers Alzheimers is progressing rapidly, and I had a very bad experience with her when I went to see her. The staff could see how upset I was and they took the time to help me settle my mum, then spent time with me to make sure I was okay. Every time I go, they are always kind, generous and helpful, with a real care for those they look after. They go the extra mile to make sure that things are okay and care about both residents and their families. I love Hollybank Rest Home, and am so glad I chose it as a place for my mum to live out her life, and be cared for in a lovely way.
Our Dad has been a resident at HollyBank Rest Home for the last 3.5 Years. We can't speak highly enough of the staff and the care which he has received. The consistent staff members are always caring and considerate offering an approachable and friendly manner. Honestly don't think he could be in a better place.
I loved watching all the Christmas activities that you had for all the lovely residents. It was especially nice seeing my Mom joining in and participating in Christmas baking which she always enjoyed doing in her younger years. The staff go above and beyond in their care for everyone which I witnessed myself when I visited Mom in May 2024. I live in Canada so really appreciate the Facebook posts.
I have been so impressed with Hollybank Rest Home since Mum had to make the move back in August 2024. We knew it was the right home for her as soon as we walked through the front door. The staff are so helpful and friendly and the care she receives is excellent. Excellent facilities, activities and food and the small homely feel of Hollybank is just what Mum needed.
My father moved into Hollybank Rest Home after a stay in hospital, happily living there for 6 months until he passed away. Not only was dad beautifully cared for but so were we, his family. I cannot speak highly enough about the quality of the staff that cared for dad and the loving, supportive, resident focused approach care that is offered to everyone at Hollybank. From the leadership team headed up by one of the staff members, who sets the professional and caring tone, to every single person who works there, you could not get better care or attention for your loved ones who need residential care. The food is excellent, they ensure there is always something the residents enjoy. Cleaning standards are excellent. All the staff go the extra mile to ensure there are plenty of activities and enrichment for those residents wanting to participate, celebrating so many events! Nothing is too much trouble. I rarely give a five star review but Hollybank is a five star establishment in every aspect!!!
Everywhere is very clean and tidy, it's lovely and warm. The food is excellent, the staff are very efficient, helpful and friendly. There is always some entertainment on to keep the residents occupied. A lovely home.
Was amazing by the super standard in this home. More like a 5-star hotel. Warm friendly, clean, good company and good food.
My father has been at Hollybank for over three years. In that time they have encouraged him to join in activities. He loves to grow vegetables so they have made sure this has continued. The staff are amazing showing love and support at all times. They are always so positive, happy and patient. His bedroom and en-suite is lovely with everything he needs. The home has a lovely family feel and nothing is too much bother.
After a sudden change in health Mum required 24-hour care which was provided by Hollybank, only days after an emergency request. Mum has remained at Hollybank since then. With patience and help from staff and external professionals, Mum eventually settled and says she feels safe and secure at Hollybank. She likes the staff and knows they do their best for her. We are grateful for the much-needed help Mum received in 'crisis'. Family meetings with the manager and deputy manager help us better understand what we all strive for in this chapter of Mum's life. We feel our input has been important and have felt listened to by staff. We appreciate everything done to make Mum's life at Hollybank a positive chapter.
The care for my wife has got progressively better and better as my wife has got worse and worse. The palliative care she now needs is over and above what is usually expected by a care home. They have told me they will continue to care for her till the inevitable end. They have organised and negotiated a care plan between the County Council, Hollybank Rest Home and me that is still very expensive but will cater for her needs. This has taken a great deal of time and effort to achieve as you can imagine!
This care home is the very best I've ever come across. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, always approachable and a fantastic team regardless of the job they are employed for. They work as a united and loving team which is led from the top. Absolutely nothing at all negative. On every visit, the residents are happy and looked after/cared for like no other.
My mother has been very happy in this care home relaxed and joyful. The home is a very friendly place and the facilities are of a high standard. Management goes out of their way to provide for staff, clients and family members, cleanliness is outstanding. This care home is one big happy family.
This home is outstanding. The level of care is exceptional. This is what care should look like. A home full of caring loving staff where my relative feels safe. The home is nothing short of immaculate and has great activities and outings in their car. Even a takeaway when requested! Management always present to answer any questions.
I would like to say that this care home is outstanding. The managers and their teams are very approachable, happy to engage with you, and give first-class care. It is always a happy home, like your second family. The residents are always being kept busy, playing games, out in the car, jigsaws, etc, and being entertained. But mostly they go above and beyond to care for your loved one.
Very safe and caring environment. Staff are extremely polite, cheerful and respectful. They value the dignity of the resident and are welcoming to visitors.
My aunt was a resident at Hollybank Rest Home and, sadly, passed away there. Whilst there, the care and support to not only my aunt but to my family and me was exemplary. Since she died, the Manager has kept in touch with me and continued to support me, going over and above the call of duty. It was as much a loss to lose Hollybank as it was to lose my aunt. It meant so much to me to know I could keep in touch with the manager and the team, and I am still in touch to this day. I promote Hollybank at every opportunity and am pleased to see that family friends are now staying at Hollybank, I cannot speak highly enough of the manager. Nothing is too much trouble and she ensures that Hollybank is a real home from home for the resident, and the families.
During the particularly difficult time over the last two years, and now when my mum is on her way out, the manager has lead her amazing team superbly well. Her careful decision making and attention to detail make you feel in very safe hands. I live far away and it's a relief to be able to trust my mum's welfare, comfort and safety is being so well managed.
