Excellent care and residents looked after really well. Father is safe and secure and his medical needs are attended to very well and with great care and attention. Could not be happier with the care he is getting.

The home has provided care for my grandad, providing a safe and social environment for him to live in. The staff go the extra mile to provide entertainment and ensure that my grandad and other residents are happy.

My mother was admitted to this home for delirium by the NHS, we had no say in where she stayed. When we went to settle Mum we found a very caring welcome. I was amazed as I can only compare to other care homes which I've been to. The staff are so attentive and address all the resident's needs instantly. Mum stayed at Maryfield from June 2024 to December 2024 until she passed, there is nothing to address. This home is amazing to the point if I ever need help from the care sector I will be coming here. This is an amazing place for the elderly whether you are in ill health or just respite. 5 stars are not enough how they looked after our mum, deserves a million stars.

The management understands dementia and its implications on the needs and capabilities of service users. They have a caring, patient and attentive set of staff who really do provide individual care. Flexibility, the choices offered to individual service users and the thoughtful environment of the home mean that each person is looked after as an individual. The weekday activities and special celebrations are offered to each individual in a way that encourages them to relearn participation in lounge games, singing, and individual 1 to 1 games with staff to the extent that each client feels comfortable and not overwhelmed. The food is excellent. Mealtime choices are available. There are individually made cups of tea and freshly baked cake each day. Each service user is known to the staff. The management team are up to date each day on the state (medical, psychological and physical) of each service user and works proactively to address emerging health issues. In all, a well-run and great place.

I am absolutely delighted by the high level of care and support being given to my stepfather at Maryfield. The home is very clean, well appointed and very well managed and the staff are always kind and responsive to any requests or questions. As well as the great care, stimulating games and activities are provided daily and my stepfather has quickly settled into his new home.

Our dear Mum was looked after by the Maryfield team until she passed away in early 2025 and the care she received was exemplary. The team are very caring and do their best to create a stimulating and fun environment. Mum always felt secure in the knowledge that help was always at hand and we highly recommend Maryfield for your loved one.

I am 91 years old and was transferred to Maryfield Care Home from hospital having had a prolonged episode of pneumonia. I was most unwell. I have recovered very well, entirely due to the comfort and kindness I have received from their very special community. I have felt loved and cared for, encouraged and supported by everyone. The home is in a very pleasant situation, away from traffic noise and in a quiet and peaceful part of the countryside. The whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food is excellent. I am thankful for my stay here.

My father was moved to Maryfield for palliative care funded by the NHS. The care given to him by the staff was exemplary and definitely made the last weeks of his life much more pleasurable than would have been. He was included in activities and appliances to help him join other residents were acquired. he was always treated with dignity and respect. Thank you.

My wife is very content with living at Maryfield. The staff are very caring and look after her needs very well. There are several activities each week such as groups singing, film shoes, quizzes on special occasions and visiting entertainers.

Upon entering there is a sense of peace. The overall property is well-maintained and the main lounge area is bright and spacious. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for Dad who settled very quickly. As a family, we have peace of mind that Dad is being well taken care of and we enjoy our visits with him.

My experience of visiting the home where my uncle has been a resident since March has been excellent. Not only does the friendly service apply to my uncle (the resident) but also to myself and family members who visit.

My husband was very unwell and disturbed on admission and he has been extremely well cared for, physically, psychologically and mentally. The home provides plenty of home-cooked nutritious food, a variety of stimulating activities and the staff are supportive, helpful and internet positively with the residents. The environment is clean, well-maintained and bright. There is an energy with new ideas and approaches encouraged. Well done to the staff!

My father has been very well cared for, the staff have been very good. Our only issue is the system, the delays and the time it takes to sort things out. Now my father is medicated and more settled, he is doing well and seems to enjoy what he does and speaks very highly of the staff.

Fantastic staff. Got to know them very well. Always smiling & very helpful. They can't do enough for a comfortable stay. The room was light & airy. The housekeeping staff always kept it & the care home spotless. The food was very tasty & diverse. Great chef. Loved it when they celebrated Chinese New Year with a special meal. Highly recommend Merryfield Care Home.

My husband spent the last three weeks of his life at Maryfields Care Home, all the staff were brilliant he couldn't have had a better end to life. A beautiful home set in beautiful surroundings in Hook in Basingstoke.

All staff members are incredibly friendly, helpful, caring and informative. They looked after our loved one in their last few months of life and gave them the best care and support. They made sure they were comfortable, listened to, looked after and respected. They were incredible throughout with us, the family, with detailed updates and care when the time finally came to say goodbye. I would recommend the home as the staff and location are lovely. I would also like to thank them for everything they did!

Welcoming, caring staff. Bright clean surroundings with space outside for exercise. Plenty of opportunities for customer enrichment. Good security, marvellous food; good communication and parking. Helpful to visitors.

My mum was admitted to Maryfield in December 2023, following a stroke and hospital stay. She was unable to return to her previous care home due to her increasing needs following the stroke. The whole experience at Maryfield has been a blessing for all the family. Mum passed away at the weekend and during these final weeks, she was treated with complete dignity and loving kindness by all the staff. The ethos of the home is one of care and support and all of Mum's family (children and grandchildren) experienced this on their regular visits. During the final week of Mum's life, one of us was able to stay the night in an adjacent room, which was free at the time. We cannot speak highly enough of the care and empathy which mum and all of us experienced at Maryfield. The staff were gentle and reassuring. At a time of palliative care for mum and anxiety for all the family, we are so grateful that we found Maryfield.

My mother was at Maryfield from May 2023 to December 2023 before she sadly passed away. From our first visit, we were made to feel welcome. The warmth and friendliness from all the staff were so reassuring. They made people feel as though they were part of one large family. During my visits, I noticed how patient and caring they were to all the residents. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Activities were arranged daily to engage and stimulate residents and regular parties took place for residents and their families. I feel so very lucky that my mum got such wonderful care during the time she was there. Maryfield is a very special place.

My dad continues to be cared for in a kind and considerate way. He has recently lost some hearing in his ears and the staff have been understanding and helpful. They are patient with him. Thank you.
