View Full Details of Oak Mount Care HomeAll staff are really friednly and proffessional. The activities lady really engages with my dad. The food looks lovely. Dad likes to see my dog, she is welcome and also gets a biscuit.
My husband has recently gone into Oak Mount Care Home and is very happy there. He says the staff are very kind and the food is good. They are very good at giving him activities which help him a lot.
Unfortunately, my father was only in the home for four months before needing more medical assistance, in those months the care was excellent, all the staff were very kind and caring and would go out of their way to help him, my father is a very fussy eater but never complained once about the food, The home was always clean and the staff were more like friends than carers. Well done to you all.
When I visit my sister, you are always met with happy faces. The staff are very helpful, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. I always say I couldn't do your job, as they have so much patience.
My mother has been at Oak Mount Care Home now for over four years, and I can't recommend this home enough. I have been very pleased with the care and attention they give my mother, and they are always one step ahead when it comes to her changing needs. The chef always cooks a hearty lunch and there are always activities/entertainers coming in. Since my mother has been there, the staff have not changed much, so they all know my mum well, and we have got to know them. During the Covid pandemic, they were absolutely brilliant and put the resident's safety first! It is always a joyful and pleasant place to visit and is very homely.
Have made my mother with dementia feel very at home, she lived with us for 17 years but when she could not be left on her own and had stepdad driving, it was hard for her. She said to me more than once she likes living here better than where she lived before. What more could you ask for. They are lovely, caring, keep you informed, know their residents are people, not patients. Could not be happier with their care.
My mum lived very happily in Oak Mount Care Home for eighteen months until sadly she had a fall in December 2023 when she broke her hip. After surgery for a new hip she was assessed by the manager of Oak Mount and due to frailty and reduced mobility she was unable to return to live there. We were all so saddened by this as we had hoped it would be her 'forever home'. The home is wonderful and homely, the staff are so caring and friendly and it is such a 'home from home'. Everything about Oak Mount is superb and I feel privileged to be able to give a review on this special care home.
I have visited my friend on several occasions at Oak Mount and it is always lovely there. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, it is always clean and tidy and most importantly my friend is extremely happy here. Thank you for taking such great care of her. Keep up the great work.
My mum went into Oak Mount initially for respite, after a couple of weeks I could see she had settled in really well thanks to the diligence, professionalism and kindness of the staff, even in the most trying of circumstances. There is plenty of social contact, (Mum lived by herself at home), I could see her more aware of her surroundings and other people and there are always activities to engage in. Meals are prepared on-site, not 'pinged' in a microwave, and to a good standard. A place I'm very happy for her to be.
My grandmother was in Oak Mount for about a year. Every time we visited the staff were absolutely fantastic, they really would make us feel very welcome. When we would bring our daughters to see granny the staff would get colouring bits out to keep our children occupied which was really very nice of them. The home was always very clean and tidy and the garden was a lovely place to sit on nice sunny days. We would certainly recommend Oak Mount Care Home to all of our elderly friends 100%.
After my husband had been in a very unpleasant care home, where money and business were the main motivators, I'd become rather cynical. As soon as I went into Oak Mount, I just knew I'd found my husband's 'home' in the true sense of the word. You could feel the camaraderie, warmth, kindness and humour emanating from the staff - everyone matters at Oak Mount. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers and instead of tears and sadness, there is always fun, laughter and activities there. It's an amazing place and I can't believe I was so lucky to have my husband in such a perfect place. We've made friends for life. Often, due to circumstances, I'd visit unannounced, yet he was always laughing with the carers and was obviously well looked after and most of all, the happiest I've seen him in years. The meals as well are a joy, with all the favourites. You're all very special and have helped me through what was a dreadful time. Thank you all so much, you are 'angels' in every sense of the word.
The team at Oak Mount are truly amazing. They are so patient and they never forgot any requests made by us on behalf of Dad. They really do care and are totally on the ball. The combination of being very organised, alongside genuinely caring for their residents and the wider family, makes Oak Mount the winner it is. I was so pleased they were able to look after Dad. What a friendly, caring environment. They are small but perfectly formed. Thank you Oak Mount!
I find the home welcoming when we visit, and the staff very friendly. Mum is always well-dressed, clean and in good spirits.
I visit my mother once a week, and whenever I go, Mum is always neat and tidy. The staff are always cheerful, and the residents look happy and content.
Oak Mount is an excellent care home. The staff make time for the residents, chats with them and really cares about them. The home is very clean, warm and comfortable, and contact relatives quickly if the need arises. They have activities and encourage residents to join in, a weekly hairdresser and regular chiropody. I highly recommend Oak Mount for its care and support of residents and family members.
My mother has been in the care home now for nearly three months. I like the fact that it is a smaller family-run home in a house very like the house my parents had. The staff are, without exception, extremely kind, friendly and helpful. My mother likes to keep herself to herself; they encourage but respect her wishes. The food she forever praises, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Her room is bright and airy, with good views over the gardens. If the time ever came, I would be pleased to spend my days there.
I would just like to thank the team for the care they provided for our mum for around 4 years. She didn't want to go into a "Home" but from the moment she arrived they won her over, she enjoyed the care, the company and the activities. Her last years were happy there. As her health declined and her care needs increased, they stuck with her until it was no longer possible. It wasn't just mum who benefitted from the care, we her children did also. We are incredibly thankful that she found such a warm safe place for the latter years of her life. Thank you guys and for anyone reading this I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this home if you want the personal touch and commitment for your loved one. They stuck with mum, nothing too much trouble or impossible until it did become impossible
Amazing staff. Amazing care and compassion, overall just brilliant at everything. Thank you.
My mother died in Oak Mount Care Home a week ago. She has been a resident in the home for over 6 years. We never had a complaint and the care and friendly atmosphere for residents and their families was incredible. It was not easy to manage the whole Covid epidemic, but there were no infections and relatives were kept informed and visited within the restrictions. A big thank you to Oak Mount.
