Pax Hill staff are wonderful at looking after my grandad. They support his independence whilst keeping him safe. It is comforting to know he is safe and has people around him whilst the family are unable to look after him.
Pax Hill is truly wonderful place for residents who are living with Dementia. The care and support my mother has been given is very high. We have been supported as family to help our mother settle into her new life at Pax Hill. The staff are wonderful, caring and supportive to the residents. As a family, we are very pleased and grateful for Pax Hill.
The all-round care for my wife has been excellent. The attentiveness of the staff together with their patience is outstanding. The cleanliness, a high standard of facilities and their maintenance is very good. There is always a welcome for visitors who are treated with great kindness.
Active, caring, proactive, attentive staff and very friendly - great communication.
Pax Hill has been superb in the support of both my father and mother. I have no hesitation in recommending Pax Hill to those needing support for loved ones.
Having had experience of a normal care home for the elderly with a dementia floor, I was so delighted for my mother to come to Pax Hill. The difference in friendly, quiet, patient and effective care is remarkable. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum is very rarely anxious now and is generally content. I feel confident that she is always well cared for and is in the best place. She likes the decor and loves the house and gardens. Thank you to Pax Hill staff!
The care home has a lovely warm feel. The staff are all very friendly. My mother-in-law has settled well and is happy here.
Lovely staff, make a huge difference to Mum's quality of life. She is very happy, safe and settled at Pax Hill.
We have found Pax Hill EMF Unit friendly and welcoming. It is set in a peaceful location, the rooms are spacious with a homely feel. The staff are very friendly and look after our parents, who both have different care needs, very well. I would definitely recommend Pax Hill.
Lovely atmosphere, the staff are fantastic. Very attentive.
Very happy with the care Mum is getting here. The staff are lovely and very patient and helpful during a very difficult job as I speak to some who are doing jigsaw puzzles. Looked at a few places before placing Mum here, no comparison, this place is streaks ahead in cleanliness and care in general. The cost is very high but Mum is worth it.
After one year we remain assured as we were on day one. We picked the best care facility in our area. The staff remain friendly, and knowledgable and provide quick feedback should there be any issues. Both parents enjoy the environment and importantly feel safe. Thank you.
I have found Pax Hill to be a most welcoming place. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. My mum has a lovely room with a stunning view and is very comfortable and happy here.
Mum was extremely upset and wanted to leave. The staff were comforting and so supportive. Mum is definitely well cared for. Thank you to you all!
I would unreservedly recommend Pax Hill Elderly Mentally Frail Unity for the care of a loved elderly person. The warmth and community spirit are immediately evident, with residents encouraged to base themselves in the well-designed and attractive common area where they can socialise and choose to take part in activities. Loneliness is not an option, but privacy is always on offer too in the comfortable and well-appointed ensuite rooms. Staff are always patient and helpful, creating a calm, relaxed and supportive environment in which all care needs are fully addressed. I couldn't fault Mum's care, even when her needs escalated. She was a resident for thirteen months and we were always cheerfully welcomed on visits. Senior staff were very approachable, competent and supportive and regularly seen personally interacting with residents and supporting staff. The affection and respect that Mum was afforded were evident throughout her care, right up to her eventual passing when they adorned her bed with flowers. It sounds like a cliche, but staff treat the residents as family and it shows, we couldn't have made a better choice for Mum.
Lovely friendly care home - the staff are very caring and always activities on - especially designed for dementia with lots of colours and big windows for views across the glorious countryside. Cannot fault it! I am always made welcome and they keep me updated on Dad's care. So lucky to have found this gem - Dad is comfortable and happy and that is the main thing. Thoroughly recommend it!
My mother-in-law was cared for in the Elderly Mentally Frail Unit at Pax Hill for several years, including the difficult time over lockdown. I am a health care professional myself and was always impressed with the knowledge and skills of the nursing staff, and the dedication, kindness and family atmosphere provided by the nurses and carers. The environment is respectful and supportive, residents are encouraged to take part in activities and to be as independent as they are able. Any queries we had were dealt with promptly and tactfully, and we were kept informed of any changes in her condition. The staff training is evident in the calm way they can diffuse the situation if a resident becomes upset or agitated. The food is excellent and snacks and drinks were always available. As a family, we were made very welcome and when my mother-in-law died, the staff even attended the funeral which was very moving for us - they really did care as though she was family. Cannot recommend enough.
My husband came initially for a four week trial. This has been extended for another four weeks and I am hoping that his stay will become permanent, as I am very happy indeed with his care, and he seems very contented. I find that the staff's communication and feedback is excellent, and I appreciate this.
My mother arrived at Pax Hill over six months ago and quickly settled in. The staff are caring and respectful. Communication is good and activities are plentiful. I could not be happier!
