View Full Details of The Red HouseMy uncle has always been very happy here. He enjoys the company, especially telling his stories and sharing a joke with the staff, and says that he has no worries because they do everything for him. It’s a comfortable home, which is furnished simply and functionally, and you can tell from the atmosphere that standards of hygiene and care are very high. The staff are kind, considerate and very friendly, as well as being well-trained, and always make an effort to create a more personal relationship with their residents.
Our friend had no next of kin and we and 2 others were listed as friends and her only contacts. I called the home in advance about a visit to my friend and was devastated to learn that she had died 3 weeks before and none of us had been told. Between the friends fortunately we have been able to notify solicitors and access her will. This means we can honour her final wishes for her and she will be able to rest with her family where she wanted. If I had not called on that day, she would probably have just been released to the local council for a public burial away from her family. The care home had our contact details and knew we were the nearest to family our friend had. I think it is disgusting that they did not tell us she had died.
Very nice place, my mate was very happy ad the staff were very nice and helpful.
Clearly a very busy care home that is well organised with very friendly staff and management. My cousin receives a high standard of care and warmth from everyone involved with the home. Many thanks.
I am always made welcome by all staff on arrival. My cousin is always in community rooms with other residents and then we enjoy our time together in her room. She is treated with dignity and respect at my visits and my cousin knows all staff. The manager is always pleased to see me and takes time to chat and is always happy! Thank you to The Red House for looking after my cousin.
The staff are very kind and helpful. The room is clean. Mum looks well and happy.
My mum has been in The Red House for nearly 6 months. Whilst Mum's been there all the staff have been amazing, they have welcomed Mum in, made her feel at home and kept us updated at all times. Mum's had a better lease of life in The Red House, she joins in with the activities, helps out where she can. And with her health they look after her very well. Both the manager and another member of staff in particular are welcoming and very helpful at all times, always have time to talk to myself and my dad when we visit. The activities lady is also very helpful and helps Mum in all the activities. All the staff at The Red House are lovely.
It was very daunting when told mum needed to go into a care home but on visiting the Red House and meeting the Manager and her Team I felt instantly reassured that this was a good place for mum. Their ethos of care seemed to be totally in line with mine and all my concerns and questions were answered. Since moving in on December 22 she has thrived. She has gained weight, which is a testament to the food served. She is encouraged to join in with all activities of which there are many. From singers, arts and crafts and even a gong bath! On visiting I am always warmly welcomed by the team and always find mum to be well cared for. The communication is also very good, either by email or phone I am always kept up to date with mum's care which has alleviated all the stress that I had when she lived on her own. This has been the best move for mum and I can't thank the staff enough for their ongoing care
My mom has been in Redhouse for 9 months due to her dementia and the fact she is happy is a big relief to my brother and I. Mom speaks positively about the staff and the facilities and says "They look after her" and "hasn't got a bad word to say about them." Mom understands why she is there, which does upset her, but she knows she is in the right place to be looked after. Personally, I have found all the carers to be very attentive to resident's needs, and really engage with them. The onsite management team have kept me informed at every stage regarding Mom's care which is reassuring. A highlight for me is that a care worker will call me if mom wants to speak to me or needs some reassurance due to being distressed. I cannot speak highly enough about Redhouse over the last 9 months and have recommended them to others who are caring for elderly family members.
My mum has been a resident of Red House for nearly 4 and a half years, I have always felt that she is very well cared for. All the staff that I have come In contact with have been very friendly and welcoming. The house itself is always warm, very clean and tidy. The kitchen staff do an amazing job of providing healthy and tasty home-cooked meals, I always think it’s lovely how they ask the residents what they would like for dinner or tea, it’s lovely for them to have a choice. I would happily recommend the Red House to anyone looking for dementia care.
My mum has been a resident at The Red House for nearly four years and I couldn't be more reassured that the care she receives is of the best quality. The home has also invested time and money making improvements to the living environment and is a bright, warm and happy place to visit. Over the last year, the home have been fantastic keeping the residents safe and keeping us a family, updated on Mum's condition at all times. I cannot praise the staff enough and thank them. As a relative, it's important not to worry about her care. It honestly feels like Mum is part of a big family that envelope her in love, care and attention. Thanks to the manager and team.
