View Full Details of Wisteria LodgeWisteria Lodge is a loving, caring nursing home, residents and staff are one big happy family. My husband has resided at Wisteria for two years. I have peace of mind knowing that he is well cared for and all his needs are being met.
Since my dad has been here he and I are both happy with the care and facilities. The food is excellent. Always offer a drink and even a pudding today. Well done all.
My partner has only been here for two-and-a-half weeks following a bad experience in another home where his care needs were not met. This home has been amazing from the start, they are delivering the care they promised for my partner, the staff are so kind and caring and make everyone welcome. They were quick to respond when an emergency happened and made sure my partner was treated following a procedure making him safe and confident he was in the right place. He tells me they are all lovely and he's happy here. I would recommend this home to anyone. The manager cares.
My father has been a resident at Wisteria Lodge for the last two months, he has enjoyed a friendly time whilst being a resident, every member of management and staff have been professional at all times, it's run like clockwork and everyone is very attentive to any situation and my dad was very settled. With my Dad's failing health we as a family could relax knowing Dad was in a safe, clean, professional home and was a pleasure to get to know everyone during my dad's stay at Wisteria Lodge, excellent in all areas.
My review was exactly as I knew it would be. All my questions were answered and I'm very pleased with all aspects of my mum's care.
My father came here in January following a quite horrible experience in a previous care home while under D2A assessment and I genuinely thank god that he did! The staff are simply fantastic and his room is bright and calm with a lovely view. The place itself is spotless and the care he receives is second to none, we couldn’t be happier. It really feels like a family and the staff are brilliant with my mum when she visits him there, really treat her like part of the family. My father was bed-bound following a stroke and in the previous home and in hospital there was never even a consideration to change that, thank the lord for Wisteria. This year with their help we’ve been able to get him into a custom-fitted chair in his room and he’s now even going downstairs and taking part in the numerous different daily activities that the staff put on. There is a beautiful terrace garden and garden room and he’s now able to visit them and sit in the sun. An amazing place, thank you Wisteria!
The home is like a home from home. Fully supporting and friendly. The staff are all approachable and helpful. The approach is always professional and caring. Everywhere is always spotless and well-maintained. Happy to recommend the home to anyone.
My mother has been at Wisteria Lodge for a few months and from day one she has received the best care possible. Everyone is kind and attentive to her needs. They treat her very well and look after her. My mother suffered a stroke and has quite complex needs and everyone at Wisteria has done the utmost to assist with all aspects of her personal and medical needs and to keep her comfortable.
My mother has been a resident for the last four months. She is confined to bed and confused. We had good reports from two other residents' families and from our initial visit, and throughout our time here my mother has received excellent care and attention from all members of staff, and we have been treated with care and kindness. Communication is very good and any concerns have been immediately acted upon. We could not wish for more and have complete confidence in every aspect of care.
My brother-in-law has been in Wisteria Lodge for nearly a year, during that time the care he has received has been superb. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that he is as comfortable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble. We are always made welcome when we visit and refreshments are always offered. The whole building is immaculately clean and the staff are brilliant.
I couldn’t wish for a better home for my husband who is cared for so very professionally and well in a home-from-home environment. Nothing is too much trouble, and everyone from management, nurses, carers, catering, domestic staff etc are all so very friendly and helpful, even in stressful times. There is a happy atmosphere throughout the building at all times and I too am always made to feel very much at home when visiting daily. It is as they say a place where everyone, I’m sure, feels to be part of a large family. Thank you to all!
My mother has been a resident at Wisteria Lodge since February 2023, and our experience has been completely positive. She is happy, well looked after, safe and in good health for a 94-year-old. The staff are all lovely and treat her with care and complete respect. She enjoys the food - especially the cakes and desserts. Plus she participates in some activities which she enjoys very much. Our peace of mind since she moved in is priceless.
Always a pleasure to visit the staff always make you welcome with offers of drinks. A very warm and happy atmosphere. Everywhere is beautifully clean. My brother-in-law is always clean and his needs are well met. I would recommend Wisteria Lodge to anyone seeking a caring and comfortable home for their loved one.
The care and professionalism shown and delivered by the staff are faultless. The high standards of cleanliness are immediately evident on entering the home and are seen in every area. The activities team work hard to organise a varied programme of fun and stimulating activities which promote a relaxed and friendly feel within the home. I would definitely recommend Wisteria Lodge to family and friends if they are looking for a care home for a loved one.
My Father moved into Wisteria Lodge at the end of June 23 but sadly after a few days his health unexpectedly deteriorated and we lost him a few weeks later. The staff could not have been more supportive and helpful to my Father and my family during his short visit. They were proactive, caring and so friendly. I would thoroughly recommend Wisteria Lodge to anyone looking for a comfortable home from home for their loved ones. The rooms are lovely and the food is varied and excellent. The staff also make sure visitors are offered refreshments when they visit relatives. Even the laundry was delivered with pride, everything being returned to his wardrobe fresh and clean. The nursing team are first class and very professional. They were marvellous. I was so impressed with the culture in the Home. It seems such a happy place. It was a wonderful team effort and everyone contributed to make it a perfect home for my Father.
My mum is in the best place, she enjoys the friendly atmosphere and gets excellent care from all the staff. The nursing staff are always on hand to help and respond so quickly to any medical issues and concerns. The activities team do an amazing job and are very creative and supportive with Mum's physical condition. The whole team have a good understanding of communication to all parties. This makes it an excellent, well-run home.
Very happy with everything the staff are doing for my mum. Always there if you need them.
The care my mum has received at Wisteria Lodge has been nothing short of exemplary these last three years. It is like one big family, always fun and laughter, activities every day (which family get to see on our social media page). Fantastic communication with relatives leaves me confident that Mum is in the safest and happiest place she can be in. Thank you Wisteria from the bottom of my heart.
My husband has been living in Wisteria Lodge since December 2016. He is wonderfully looked after by exemplary staff and we, his family, have nothing but huge gratitude to all at Wisteria Lodge for all they do for him.
Mum came to Wisteria last August, broke my heart to put Mum in a home but I need not of worried as they all are the most kind, upbeat, cheerful carers that you could ever meet. They truly are my angels as I can go home after a visit knowing Mum's in safe hands and settled. They ask Mum what she would like to do, eat, how she feels etc, treating her with such dignity which each client deserves. A big shout out to the staff for their professionalism and kindness, cannot praise all the team enough.
