Good care, food, service.
Safe, good, happy.
Good.
Lawnbrook holds a truly warm place in my heart. They looked after my mum for her final 3 years with such love, compassion, humour and respect that I think they really felt like family to her. Her dementia meant she wasn't able to communicate in English much anymore, but some of the staff had the same nationality and understood her culture and language - a list of her common phrases was distributed so all staff knew what she was saying, and one staff member even asked me if they could bring in some food from home to see if my mum remembers it. Lawnbrook really does have the individual residents' best interests at heart. It's such a clean and light environment with plenty of activities. They always mark birthdays and festivals and they were quick to communicate with me and the GP when required. Everyone was always so welcoming. When bringing mum back after her walks she always greeted all the staff so happily that I could walk away knowing my mum was safe and in very good hands.
My father is here and at end of life suffering with dementia. It is a very difficult time but the staff and nurses in particular have been amazing, compassionate and so understanding. They do an amazing job and I am very grateful.
The staff at Lawnbrook Care Home have made my mother feel safe, cared for and at home. They have always been attentive and professional when she has needed help but also warm and friendly when she wanted companionship. We feel lucky that Mum is under their care.
My mother was cared for by the excellent and caring staff at Lawnbrook Care Home. They were always informative about my mother's health and care. Mum was very happy with the staff and from arriving on her first day in 2021, she was made to feel at home and quickly settled in. On my first impression when choosing Lawnbrook as my mum's residency, I found the staff to be very welcoming. The home itself is brightly decorated, making it feel like a nice place to be. I highly recommend Lawnbrook and the amazing staff to anyone who has the extremely difficult decision to make, having to place a loved one in a care home. Many thanks for caring for my mother to all the staff there.
My husband has dementia and has been living in Lawnbrook Care Home for over a year. The staff there are always kind, caring, cheerful and patient and welcoming to visitors. The food looks home-cooked and inviting. All residents have access to other services, like chiropody or GP and I am always kept informed of any changes. My husband tells me he is happy there, even though he'd rather be home. I have no hesitation recommending Lawnbrook to anyone seeking a care home for their loved one and would like to thank all staff who work hard to make residents feel happy, settled and comfortable.
It is a friendly care home, the staff are helpful and caring, showing kindness and privacy to the service users. My 100-year-old mother seems to be settling in well after the shock of leaving the hospital and going straight to a care home.
Lawnbrook Care Home is an excellent choice for your relative/friend to live in and to receive excellent service. They cater for all needs of elderly care/dementia and other problems. The care that the staff provide is excellent and nothing is overlooked concerning all your relative's care needs. Great service from the registered GP that serves Lawnbrook and the staff are very quick to call the GP if something is wrong. They always inform you as well if problems occur. Plenty of food for the residents and my relative never goes hungry, with plenty of choice and variety. Lawnbrook is extremely clean at all times. My mother is happy as she has friends that she has made and wanted to have for a long time. Plenty of activities and entertainment are provided on different days of the week for everyone to get involved in. I would highly recommend this care home for anyone looking for accommodation for their relative and rest assured that their everyday care needs would be fulfilled.
Following a two-week stay in hospital he was transferred to Lawnbrook at our request to enable him to recover and improve his mobility. The staff were all very welcoming, caring, helpful and efficient. During his four-week stay, all aspects of his health were assessed by a GP, community nurse, occupational therapist, community mental health doctor and optician. His general health and mobility under their care improved sufficiently to enable him to return to his home to live.
Mum was treated with dignity and respect by the staff at the care home. They were kind and gentle, which gave us comfort as a family. The staff often spoke to Mum in Punjabi or Hindi which was lovely to hear and see. The care home facilitated Mum's passing to be as comforting as possible. We as a family appreciate the space, care, and respect we were shown. It has made a huge difference. The team at the care home provides excellent care.
I can't express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care my Mum receives at Lawnbrook Care Home. Due to her dementia, she needed a supportive environment and from the very start, the staff were incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive to her needs. Mum thrived in the communal setting, with the ethos of bringing the residents together made a significant difference. The small lounges at Lawnbrook provide lovely spaces for family celebrations, which meant a lot to us. Even during her setbacks with health the staff encouraged her independence and made sure she was comfortable in the main lounge. In her final weeks, the staff provided her with love and respect and they were so supportive of the family, and supplied plenty of tea and biscuits! I cannot praise them enough.
Excellent care, knowledgeable and professional staff. Very good communication relating to any issue, proactive in organising outside care (dentist, district nurse, GP). The staff at Lawnbrook made such an effort to make my Mum comfortable, she really did not want to go into a care home and combined with advanced Alzheimer's her behaviours were challenging. The staff were so patient, understanding and caring, so my mum settled. The home itself is always clean, bright and wholesome. There are lots of activities planned daily for the residents, birthdays celebrated and there's a real effort to provide a home-from-home environment. Visiting is always easy and requirements are accommodated at short notice. The excellent food is also worth mentioning, all home cooked together with snacks and tea served. I can't praise this home, all the staff and especially the manager, enough. They have been so supportive and understanding towards me and my mum during a very challenging time.
Very polite and helpful staff. Friendly and welcoming. Staff listen to residents and help where needed. Well organised and homely.
Staff all very friendly to visitors and residents. Managers excellent. Always make a point of updating us on Dad's health and well-being as soon as we arrive. Have been very proactive in sorting out appointments and taking action on health issues with GP and team. Managers have also kept me informed of any issues by telephone in a timely fashion. Chef is very good, offering a wide selection of homemade foods with a varied menu along with traditional home cooking. We as a family are extremely grateful to the whole team for their understanding and care.
When I came to view the care home I was impressed but now having a family member here I am delighted to have made the right choice. Most importantly the staff are wonderful, helpful, professional and courteous. Rooms are clean and able to make them homely for the resident. The activities are good and enjoyable. I have had great feedback from my mother-in-law, especially about how great the staff are.
Fantastic care for my mother. She is well looked after and cared for. Medication is given routinely and her health and wellbeing have improved immensely. Mum enjoys the food.
My mum is very pleased with the care she is provided. Mother does not speak English so there is a language barrier. However, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my mother's needs are fully met and her wishes are included as much as possible. The food is amazing and my mother's rooms, as well as her personal care, are maintained at a high standard. Thank you for your care, compassion and inclusiveness.
