View Full Details of Greensleeves Residential HomeI think Greensleeves is a great place. The staff are quietly efficient, caring, not 'over-fussy' but attentive where it matters, e.g patient safety, and the staff following rules expected of a care home without letting a good business-like attitude overflow to the resident/visitors in the form of 'officiousness'. My friend likes his food and enjoys all the meals they prepare for him. Even when I take him out to the pub for a meal (they advise me on his intake) they save him any food he might be missing to eat on his return. The house is 'old and solid' which suits my friend who appreciates quality, rather than a clinically white spotless sanitary 'plastic' modern place, which some might prefer; though still clean. I never notice any smell, except occasionally some pleasantly spiced food from the kitchen! Which I find rather amazing considering the age and incontinence of the residents (you know, that 'old people' aroma). And phone communication is always easy, respectful, and helpful.
My mother moved to Greensleeves in November and the warm, friendly and kind welcome she and our family received was impressive. The staff are extremely kind, passionate and caring - attending to individual needs with a high level of compassion. The residents are all well cared for and encouraged to integrate and fit in, the food is excellent and personal belongings encouraged. They are flexible with visits and communication is fast and responsive.
The staff at Greensleeves are so caring and kind. They have looked after and reassured my mum since her recent move. They have also reassured and supported myself and sister that she is doing ok. The manager is amazing, as are all the others.
All of the carers I have met are very friendly and available. Easy to visit. Prompt to answer telephone and door when visiting. Always I feel welcome. Carer easily available when needed by a resident. My friend needs a lot of care and he is content living at Greensleeves. He had a very difficult period before going there.
We visit the home every month. Find staff very pleasant. Well-run. Clean and warm.
My mother describes herself as being content, which we believe is the best you can hope for at the age of 97, with multiple health problems. We have been very pleased with her care and experience and are grateful that we chose Greensleeves.
The care home is very good. Dad is cared for very well and all his needs are met. All the staff are friendly and polite and always happy and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Dad is always clean and tidy, which is not always the case in other care homes I have heard about. We are very happy with the home and his ongoing care.
My overall view of Greensleeves is a safe and caring environment, the staff have been very kind and caring towards my brother and all the other residents that are there. Everyone looks well looked after and happy. Greensleeves, in my opinion, is a lovely home where all needs are met.
They really look after my mother and are very forthcoming with her progress in the home. She seems happy there and I have no complaints whatsoever about her treatment. The other residents appear happy there also. All in all my mother is in the best place she can be with her condition the way it is unfolding whilst she is in there.
My brother has only been in care for a short time, about four months, and for the first time. But every visit we see a lovely change in him; more settled and smiles on his face. Thank you to all staff.
Since my mum has been resident at Greensleeves her dementia has deteriorated significantly, but the staff have been amazing. There is a genuine care and focus on my mum's needs that makes me and my family extremely grateful to them. My mum very much loves the carers.
Mum seems very happy where she is. She has a lot of praise for the staff and speaks very highly of them all.
Mum seems very happy and well cared for, and has settled in well.
Good service from all the staff, they are all caring and committed to their residents. My mother has been in their care for three years and the kindness that they have shown is exemplary, as this was really important to me and my husband when first having to put her in full-time care.
Having visited Greensleeves so many times, the care given to residents is amazing, so understanding, such care and kindness. Attentive in their needs at all times. The staff are so very kind and patient, as above, in everything. My visits are always welcoming, a cup of tea straight away and if a longer stay, a biscuit or sandwich. Truly wonderful staff and happy care in a good, clean care home.
I have total confidence in Greensleeves and all the staff that my father is very well cared for and looked after. I cannot thank and praise them enough.
My father has been at Greensleeves Residential Home for the past seven months and has been welcomed by all of the family (that's how they seem to us). I could not wish for a better place for my father to be. The staff are amazing, they are so caring and thoughtful, they look after his every need.
Very friendly staff, good communication. Although this home advertises dementia care, if your relative is one that will not sit in a chair all day and tends to wander (a symptom of dementia) especially at night, this is not suitable for dementia care for your relative. The home wanted my mother-in-law to leave after four weeks because of this so it should not be advertised for dementia care, as they are not equipped for it.
I have been visiting my friend and liaising with the staff of Greensleeves Care Home for the past seven years. I have always been greeted and welcomed by the nursing staff and manager who are extremely professional and friendly. The care home is very well run and the residents always appear happy and content with the attention and support they are given. The accommodation is clean and tidy and nicely decorated and nothing is too much trouble. From my experience, I am very confident that my friend is treated with respect and dignity at all times and has always been happy with his care. Communication is excellent and I feel reassured that during this terrible pandemic, he is in the best place.
