View Full Details of Aspen Lodge Care HomeMum is very well cared for. Excellent facilities. Staff are very polite and friendly, also very helpful. During Covid, all the staff followed very strict guidelines which was essential. My mother is very happy there.
Mum has been at Aspen Lodge for a short time. She has been quite challenging at times, but staff have handled Mum with kindness and consideration for her needs. Staff are always cheerful and caring, always with a ready smile. After a visit home, Mum is always welcomed back with a smile. To date, I have no complaints about the care Mum is receiving. I cannot comment on the activities, as I have not been there when they are taking place, and unfortunately, due to Mum’s Alzheimer's, she does not remember.
I have nothing but praise for the wonderful staff. We now have no concerns for her safety or well-being. The standard of cleanliness is exceptional. Food appears to be varied and excellent. Mum could not be better cared for.
My dad has dementia and lives at Aspen Lodge Care Home. The care is excellent, the staff are very responsive to his needs and he is comfortable and contented there. When medical issues arise, the staff and management are quick to act and efficient in providing me with clear information about what has been done. They appear to have a supportive relationship with the local GP surgery. The house is warm, clean and welcoming. I am very pleased with the standard of care and level of communication provided.
I have found the home to be extremely clean, the staff and management welcoming, and, most importantly, my brother-in-law is very happy and settled there. He loves the food and enjoys the activities. He did not initially want to go into a home, but now after four months, he regards it as ‘home’.
My mother was treated well and loved the staff and care she received while at Aspen Lodge. Staff were courteous at all times to both myself and my mother. I do thank all staff for their kindness and excellent care given during a very hard and heartbreaking time.
During the ten months that my mum lived at Aspen Lodge, she was the happiest she had been in a long while and I believe that was due to the care that she received from the wonderful staff. She was allocated a key staff member to oversee her care and although the care was shared with all staff, this key person really got to understand Mum and they had a lovely relationship. They would speak to us when we visited and tell us how Mum had been and if she needed anything. We felt welcomed and were always offered a cup of tea and biscuits, without fail, nothing was too much trouble for them. We are so pleased that we found Aspen Lodge, after what was a difficult year, in and out of hospital with Mum.
I wish to praise the manager and her husband, together with the staff for all the care and attention they bestowed upon my sister during her stay at Aspen Lodge Care Home. Their care until the end was second to none. The staff always appeared happy with nothing being too much to help, not only the residents but also visitors, such as family and friends of their residents. Again, thank you very much to the manager for the kind words you offered when I last spoke to you. God (whichever one is yours) bless and protect you all at Aspen Lodge Care Home.
I am very impressed with this home, and my friend's settled within a couple of days. She begged me not to let her end up in a home, and I was dreading the time when it was going to become inevitable. However, thanks to the owner and the wonderful staff, my friend would not wish to be anywhere else.
Mum has been treated with care and respect since she moved in in April. She settled in quickly after a hospital stay. She has a lovely room that opens out onto the well-kept garden. Her medical needs are monitored constantly. The staff also keep me updated on any changes in her health. She is also enjoying the food. She’s happy and well cared for and that also makes me happy too.
I find the staff absolutely lovely and treat my husband with kindness. Due to Covid I haven't had a chance to go inside Aspen Lodge so I don't know what my husband's room is like. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff who have been so kind at this difficult time.
My mum has settled well and seems happy, she is always clean and tidy.
My dad has been a resident at Aspen Lodge for nearly eight years and he loves living there. The home is spotlessly clean, the staff team is always engaged and pro-active, the food is excellent and during the past, very trying 12 months, there has not been a single case of Covid-19 at the home. I have nothing but praise for the excellent manner in which Aspen Lodge is run and managed.
My experiences and observations of the staff's interactions with my dad are that they genuinely care. Also, they have always treated my dad more as a friend than a resident, which for someone who is sociable and does not have a lot in common with the other residents, is a real lifeline and essential for his mental wellbeing.
My Dad has been at Aspen Lodge for most of 2020. First for respite care and then, because he settled so well it became permanent. The staff team at Aspen have looked after him so well during this difficult year and kept him safe and well. In the early part of the year, before restrictions, the family were welcomed into the home and able to visit as often as we liked. They have always been kind to us also and helped us to get the best out of our time with Dad, even now when we have ‘window visits ‘. I have recommended Aspen when people have asked about my experience.
Aspen Lodge Care Home is a family environment care home. Management and Staff are like one big family. Very friendly, very obliging, very caring to all the Residents. Always have time to stop and chat. Overall a 5 ***** care home.
The management team and staff at Aspen Lodge have provided such great care during the Pandemic. By taking early action they have remained Covid-19 free, keeping all the residents safe and well. They provide great care to everyone, and are very sympathetic to my brother's needs and we know this is not easy. The staff provide one to one activity with him depending on his moods. Sometimes he engages well with the staff and responds really well to them. They remain caring and patient when he doesn't. They are doing their best for him, encouraging him to socialise with others in the lounge and also talking with him about his interest in music and films.
Very caring. The management very involved in the care, lovely staff. Very good food (special meals if required). Very attentive, Very tailored care.
I can't speak highly enough of the care given to my cousin, they look after him so well and all the staff and management are so friendly and he is happy there. The meals are also very good. I would highly recommend this care home.
Friendly home with hard working staff. Every effort is made to treat residents with respect. Rooms are not large but suitable. Premises were clean. The room that was used had en-suite toilet/washbasin - unsure if all rooms have this option. It may well have been due to my visit times an hour after lunch started, but I did not see any staff one to one, other than assistance to reach or return after personal needs. There was a birthday party arranged for tea-time on one of the days I visited. I did think there could have been an additional staff member on duty, as they did appear stretched at times due to holiday and sick leave. No fault with any of the staff.
