View Full Details of Willow CourtLovely place, great relationship with staff. A caring approach to the journey of dementia. Staff really know the residents and are helpful and approachable with needs. Very adaptable to individual requests and care.
My lovely mother passed away Christmas Eve. The kind and caring staff at Willow Court helped us to spend quality time over the last few days she was with us. She had been at Willow Court for almost eight years and I am so pleased she was able to stay with her Willow Court family at the end.
Since mum arrived from the hospital beginning of June she has been comfortable and well looked after. The care and food have been great and we, her daughters have been very pleased with everything.
Although Mum was only in Willow Court Care Home for a short time, she was welcomed by staff and residents immediately. Patience and respect were given to Mum every day and care was exceptional throughout her residency. Friendly, and caring staff. Thank you.
Sadly, my Dad has now passed away. The home was wonderful. This is what I read out at the funeral. Willow Court Care Home from the moment I met the manager and was shown around, I knew this was the place for Dad to be looked after. He had better social life than we did, the trips out, the lovely food. So thank you to all the staff that looked after Dad, he was definitely loved and spoilt. Dad's favourite carer, such a kind person so caring, spoilt Dad rotten. Always made us smile when we went. I told them I was thinking of moving Dad to another home as a joke, they said I would be out of the home not Dad. You made Dad's life so much better for him and will always be so grateful to you.
I just want to express my thanks and appreciation for the care and dedication that the staff give to the residents in the home. My auntie is so content and always seems so happy. We had a family celebration and the staff painted my auntie's nails and made her hair look beautiful for the occasion. Willow Court certainly provides a super quality of care. Thank you.
My mother has been a resident at Willow Court for the last two and a half years. Upon arrival, she was made very welcome and shown to her room which overlooks the garden. The staff always make a fuss of her and try to encourage her to attend to the activities on offer. They also take her into the communal dining room so she can mix with the other residents. Her room is always spotless and contains a number of her personal belongings to make it more like home. I would recommend Willow Court to other elderly people.
Willow Court makes me feel safe and content. All my needs are met. I feel comfortable on Bluebelle and have made some friends that I can socialise with. I am not afraid to approach the staff as they always listen to what I have to say. I am offered choices and can discuss any problems and make suggestions.
Willow Court is a very warm, friendly and welcoming care home. In addition, the staff are both kind and have the care, health and well-being of each resident at heart. My father has gained in strength and health since being at Willow Court as the caring staff truly understand the complexities of a chronic illness such as Parkinson's on top of ageing integrity. The staff want my father to be as independent as possible, whilst also ensuring that his nutrition and hydration are a priority. I am so pleased for my father that he is now at Willow Court.
My step-dad is in Willow Court and the family have made the best choice for him. The difference in him since the last care home is outstanding, all thanks to the staff and management at Willow Court. It's so nice to see my step-dad happy, well and getting life back in him. He said he is happy, you can't ask for any more than that. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Willow Court.
In the short time I have been here, I have been most impressed by the care, attention and meals proved in fact a very happy time.
For the short period of time when my wife moved to Willow Court, I proved to myself what my gut feeling was telling me when I visited the care home for the first time. I saw the welcoming attitude from the management, the staff and the carers. Despite the Covid-19 restriction, they managed to be flexible with visiting times for relatives of the residents and at the same time maintain the safety and the precautions required. The carers are excellent in their caring responsibilities, always smiling and cheerful under difficult situations. Food and hygiene standards are very high indeed. They made the place very homely for the residents with pictures, paintings and decorations everywhere. I highly recommend the Willow Court care home to anyone with any type of disability. Thank you Willow Court Team.
My wife was admitted to Willow Court in March 2020 just before the Covid-19 crisis hit the nation and is still a resident there today where she has been cared for to the highest standard by a team of very dedicated, compassionate and professional staff led by an experienced and very competent manager. This has been very important during recent months when my wife has experienced major challenges in coping with the stresses and strains of dealing with the escalating nature of her dementia whilst being a resident at Willow Court. During this period the coordinated and well-managed support that she has received from the Willow Court Care Team on a day to day basis has been an outstanding contribution to the excellent recovery of my wife’s health during recent weeks. In light of these positive experiences, I would strongly recommend Willow Court to any family requiring professional care for a family member or friend who wants them to reside in happy, compassionate and professional care.
Early impressions are very good indeed. My mother (in her late 90s) has moved here from another care home and despite the large upheaval for someone so old, and with advanced dementia, she has settled in rapidly at Willow Court. The care team display a very good understanding of dementia and how it affects their service users. As a result, their care for people with dementia looks very good. The staff are compassionate, understanding and they care. And this applies to every member of the team I have seen, whatever their role. Perhaps the most striking thing is the sheer humanity of the staff. The team are also very flexible and helpful with relatives as they are with their service users. Overall I'm grateful to the team for helping my mother to settle in - they've done a first-class job.
Very friendly carers. Nice food. Nice care and very good activities.
Mum lived at Willow Court for the last two years of her life. When, due to old age, she was unable to care for herself. All her needs were well cared for, she had help 24/7 and lots of company. Things that had been missing when she lived on near own. The staff are compassionate and caring, which was very much appreciated during her last few weeks of life. I think they have done very well during this dreadful pandemic. The residents have had plenty of actives provided when family was unable to visit. This took a large weight of my mind. Pre Covid, I was always able to visit and take her out at anytime. I would go in, make a cup of tea and join in the activities with her. I would like to thank all the staff for enhancing Mum’s last couple of years of life.
I was very grateful to the Willows team for the care and compassion they showed to my Mum, particularly towards the end. Mum had been a resident for two years and had been able to enjoy taking part in the many activities that Willow Court offered. My brother and I were extremely grateful that we were able to be with Mum at the end, as we know that during the pandemic, many people have not been able to be with their loved ones.
Willow Court must be the best care home in the UK. The staff are fantastic, very understanding and respectful in every way. Finance needs an overhaul as it does not understand requests from people.
We moved our loved one to Willow Court due to the dementia-friendly ward. We feel that the care is person-centred, and the care home feels stimulating rather than clinical. We were so impressed with the care home that we moved my father in during Covid and recommended it to a friend, who also moved her mother in. Pre-Covid, it had a brilliant community feel. We can't wait till we are all able to visit our loved ones in their new home. We can't thank the staff enough for going above and beyond during these difficult times.
From the initial contact right through the whole care process, I have found all members of the staff and management to be helpful, supportive, caring and understanding to both ours and the resident's needs. Keeping within the bounds of health and safety for all and reasonable expectation. Every reasonable effort is made to engage residents in activities and provide both internal and external services eg hospital, dental, optical visits and outings. Kept us fully informed as to any problems with Mum's health and condition allowing us peace of mind.
