View Full Details of Robin Hood HouseMy uncle came to Robin Hood House the start of 2024 and stayed there for just over a year. He had a wonderful stay at the home with the staff really caring for him. I would highly recommend this home as it not only has amazing staff but is set in beautiful grounds with a lovely garden to walk round in the summer months. Many Thanks
Mum has been staying at Robin Hood House since November 2024 and has flourished both physically and mentally. Unlike in her previous care home, she is well fed and always happy whenever we see her. We believe that this is down to Robin Hood House being well led in their work and workplace. Thank you very much for all you do for Mum.
My father was only at Robin Hood House for a short time but he was moved there under very short notice and it proved an absolute godsend. The staff are courteous, professional, sympathetic and kind, above all. It can't be easy catering to the varying demands of the residents but there is a real warmth that shines through everywhere you look. Thank you so so much!
The care our mother received during her stay at Robin Hood House was outstanding. The whole team was brilliant. Their approach was one of compassion, and consideration for her specific needs delivered with humour and genuine concern for her welfare. We can't thank them enough.
On arriving with my mum received an excellent warm welcome from all the staff. I stayed with Mum for a while to settle her in. When I left I felt so reassured that Mum would feel supported and cared for. Such a lovely warm atmosphere in this home. Credit to all staff. Love that the manager walks around to chat with visitors and residents too. Lots of lovely activities for residents. It's so lovely to feel welcome and to have peace of mind on leaving. An excellent example of how a care home should be.
This is a care home that delivers a superb level of care. From the moment he stepped into Robin Hood House my dad was treated with kindness, patience, good humour and absolute respect. It wasn't an easy transition for him and yet he grew very fond of everyone there. The food is excellent, the pretty garden is easily accessible and secure and the staff work hard to identify and respond to the individual needs and rhythm of each resident. We felt so lucky to have found such a peaceful place among the trees. It feels like a home in the true sense of the word and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
My sister entered Robin Hood House after a sudden loss of ability to care for herself. She found the loss of her independence and need to rely on others difficult to deal with. Staff fully understood how she was feeling and managed her through this difficult period with sensitivity, compassion and a huge amount of patience, qualities we observed in their relationships with other residents. My sister enjoyed the food and sitting on the garden terrace. Staff kept me informed of issues that arose and I felt confident that my sister was in a safe and caring environment.
Very happy with the care and attention they give to my mother. The staff are very attentive towards my mother's needs. The atmosphere in the home is very welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend this care home to others.
My mum's been in care at Robin Hood House since August. She has dementia and Alzheimer's and was very much against going into care as she is a very private person and not much for socialising, but she settled in quickly and now spends her time out of her room. The staff are all lovely and there is a friendly, caring atmosphere throughout. Mum's room is lovely with a TV, nicely decorated and airy. Mum's enjoying the food, I have to get her bigger trousers! All said I am happy she's settled so well.
Excellent care of my grandfather. He is better than he has been in the last five years. The manager and the care staff are lovely and encouraging. The house is excellent, could not recommend it enough.
My Dad moved to Robin Hood House shortly after my Mum passed away. This was an extremely stressful time for my Dad. The manager and the staff were amazing and over the past couple of months, my Dad has settled in. All the staff really care and look after the residents with the utmost compassion. Robin Hood House is set in beautiful peaceful grounds and there is a lovely secure garden where residents and relatives can sit and enjoy the sunshine. The manager and the staff are always so welcoming to visiting relatives and I feel that my dad is looked after, safe and secure. I would certainly recommend Robin Hood House.
I never knew such a wonderful care home could exist from the minute you walk in you can feel the warm homely caring nature of this home. The care my mother receives is second to none the carers are friendly and you can see they are truly passionate about what they do I have never seen my mum so happy since she went into Robin Hood House. I would strongly recommend this home I’m so glad we found it.
Absolutely super care is given here, a home that does care. Super friendly and efficient staff. The mother-in-law is so happy and safe here. Highly recommended which is in a fantastic setting. Top marks to everyone there.
Robin Hood House Care Home is a small, period residential care home within lovely grounds. There are two reception rooms, a dining room and a lobby with seating for residents. The residents’ garden is superb. My father had a small room with a sink and furnishings. It was comfortable and met his needs. My father was there for three months. The staff treated him with patience, respect and dignity. Over time my dad settled in and the staff made him smile and laugh. He was happy there. The staff at Robin Hood House are incredibly caring and compassionate. They treated him like part of the family. The staff found it challenging to support him with elements of his personal care and diet due to non-compliance. I believe they tried admirably. We decided to move my father to another home. This is not a negative reflection of Robin Hood House; we found a home better suited to his cultural needs. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank all the staff at Robin Hood House and I am forever indebted to you all for helping our family during this difficult time.
Our mum went into Robin Hood House initially to be assessed after a hospital stay. The staff were lovely and helpful. Unfortunately, Mum developed some medical issues that required care by district nurses, they were wonderful, and because of them and the staff's caring manner, the wound has healed completely. As a family, we decided that Robin Hood House would be the best place for Mum to stay; she is old and frail and needs 24-hour care. She has a lovely room, the home is in a beautiful setting, and we can visit her whenever and as often as we want to, and most importantly, Mum is happy.
I will not divulge into the situation. Social Services got involved as I raised the concern. Wasn't happy how it was dealt with by adult Social Services, contacted CQC regarding safeguarding, concerns. I would suggest not calling to say you are coming, just turn up.
Mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia just over 2 years ago whilst living with myself and my husband. To begin with, we as a family managed but things took a downward turn and we could no longer meet mums needs and came to the decision to find a home for her. We found Robin Hood House and immediately was made welcome by all staff. Robin Hood has a very nice atmosphere and although mum was confused she has now settled beautifully and made friends and is thriving.
My father was here for a couple of years ad began to really like it. That was because the staff are fantastic. My mother is here now and has things t say about the standard of food but apart from that all good. Again, the staff are great.
The home is tidy and clean. Staff are friendly and approachable. They keep me informed about my mother's condition. They are following Covid rules about visits. I feel this is a good place for my mother as her health and mental state are declining rapidly.
Given the awful year that we have all been through, with care homes being on the frontline in the early months, I think Robin Hood House has done a fantastic job at trying to protect its residents and staff. With all the residents and staff now been vaccinated. Still top of the list must be the safety of all those looked after in the home. Covid will be with us for some time now and hope you're getting full support and understanding from families. Thank you all for keeping our Mum safe, you're all doing a great job.
