My mother was at Wisden Court for a little under 2 years. After a short adjustment period, she settled in and was very happy there and passed away peacefully there in February 2025. During that time, my mother was of sound mind, but getting weaker in her ability to walk and take care of herself. She was extremely happy with the staff, facilities and care that she was given. She got along well with the care workers and management/supervisors. All of the interactions I have had with staff have been wonderful. The staff know me on a first-name basis and kept me up-to-date on any issues and my mother's condition throughout her stay. I felt that the staff treated mum like a friend and that is so important when picking a care facility. I live overseas and it was great comfort knowing that mum was well looked after and enjoyed her final years in the company of friends and attentive care-givers. Thank-you to the manager and all of the staff at Wisden Court.
What a lovely supportive environment, both for residents and relatives. Activity staff enthusiastic and residents got involved. Care staff were caring, gentle, firm as needed, and showed true emotion for the people under their care. The management have also been fabulous, empathetic and understanding of relatives needs especially during difficult times. If I need to stop in a care home when I age, I would go here.
My grandad passed peacefully here and could not of asked for better care and support at that difficult time. Staff were amazing all throughout his time here. Thank you.
The management and staff at Wisden Court have shown my father such great care, respect and affection throughout his stay until his recent passing. So much compassion towards my father and support for the family was much appreciated. A really friendly and caring 'family'. I would 100% recommend Wisden Court for loved ones.
I took my husband for much-needed respite for one week, but after one night l was asked to collect him as he was such a nuisance. Two months later l have been charged for the respite as the care home denies asking me to remove him from the care home. I don't think he was supervised adequately overnight while he was there, he was accused of ringing a firebell nine times, trying to open outside doors and entering rooms of residents which convinces me there was no supervision at all. Now they deny asking me to remove him: why would l lie?
My mum has joined Wisden Court, her first care home. Mum and us were very anxious, we didn't need to be. The staff have been fantastic! Every obstacle mum had, they helped her overcome. Nothing has been too much effort! Now mum is coming to terms with this big change, she is like a different lady. We haven't seen her like this in years! Mum has full capacity so it's been hard, so a big thank you!
My partner was admitted for respite care. When I visited I felt a nice, friendly atmosphere. The staff are very hands-on with the residents. Keeping in touch was no problem and I could speak to my partner anytime. The management was so helpful, nothing seemed to be a problem. I would recommend Wisden Court to be a good home.
Mum was at Wisden Court for 11 months. First in respite and then full-time. The care staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The premises are bright, airy and all on the ground floor. The room was pleasant and spacious. During my Mum's stay the care home benefitted from a change of management and the new manager and deputy are proactive and very approachable. They have recently appointed a new activity team member which should improve activities for residents.
I stayed at Wisden Court for two weeks. I needed respite to help aid recovery after an operation. I found all the staff very welcoming and helpful. Everywhere was kept very clean and I felt very safe and relaxed. The stay has certainly helped towards my progress of getting better.
My partner was in respite care in Wisden Court in February 2024. When we arrived all the staff were very attentive and welcoming. The home was a very clean, nice room. He was provided with a delicious meal even though lunch service was over. He has a poor memory but when we picked him up he appeared happy. He said all the staff had been very good to him. He looked cared for. This was a great relief for me as I was able to spend time away. We are hoping to book him back in September. Lovely staff.
Dad came in as an emergency as Mum broke her hip before Christmas. The staff were extremely accommodating and very friendly.
Visited my friend a few times and she has settled in and looked happy and well looked after. She is enjoying the food and I hope she will get involved in the craft activities. On her birthday the staff made her day with a cake as she has not celebrated her birthday for many years.
The home looked friendly and clean on our first inspection, since patient moved in I am pleased with the staff and level of care. There are a few very minor issues but these can be resolved.
Thank you all so much for your help and support. Mum was taken into respite care due to dementia. The home manager and the rest of the staff were so kind and helpful. The home has a lovely atmosphere and all residents seem comfortable and content. The staff are very caring and most have been there for a long time which makes this place special.
My mother has been here since February 2023 and has been settled. I cannot praise the team here enough for their kindness and support towards her. Top marks for Wisden Court and all their staff.
It is very clean and welcoming as soon as you walk in. I like the visitor's area, it's very comfortable and relaxing. My mum's room is very clean and a great size. All the staff are very attentive and give us lots of information and are very approachable. My mum seems very happy here as she is getting everything she needs.
Our lovely dad was a resident and spent his final days at Wisden Court. We will be eternally grateful to the many staff at Widen Court that were so kind and supportive during his stay and particularly during his last few days. Thank you all so much, Lynne and Family
My aunty has settled into the care home life very well. It took a little time but the staff are very helpful and have put her at ease, she now feels safe and well looked after as she had a very bad fall whilst living on her own in her home.
Lovely setting, with kind staff and good food.
Mum loved being here the staff are really excellent, kind and friendly and totally respectful of all the residents. We enjoyed visiting the home. Nothing was too much trouble, questions were answered and any help was given. Everything is given the utmost care, mum's clothes were very well looked after, it may be a small thing but an important one. Sadly mum passed but their end-of-life care is second to none. The staff were informative and very sensitive. I cannot recommend Wisden Court highly enough. Thank you all.
