View Full Details of Pinewood LodgeI visited my auntie with my family and was delighted to see her being so well looked after. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were amazing. Thank you for everything you are doing.
My husband was admitted for assessment in May 2024, he has very complex needs, his behaviour is very challenging and unpredictable, mobility is very poor, sleep pattern is awful, he can exhibit agitation and aggression. I was very anxious and initially wanted him closer to home, as time went on I came to realise it was best for him to remain at Pinewood Lodge, he knows all the staff and they know him, they are kind and caring even when he is difficult, they chat, laugh and joke to him (and me). I have received enormous support in very difficult circumstances from the Manager and all other staff, it never seems like it is too much trouble for them. Excellent choice of food, plentiful snacks and drinks, housekeeping and activities all make huge effort. Christmas was fantastic, decorated in every corner, all residents received visit on Christmas morning from Manager and team with personally wrapped gifts. The Manager and whole team are fantastic, thank goodness my husband is there.
My husband was admitted with severe psychosis and delirium and some aggression. Due to the kind, patient and understanding from the wonderful staff. He was able to return to some normality and hence was able to return home. I have found everyone very helpful. He seemed to be happy towards the end of his stay.
My mum was a resident up until January this year. She was always treated with care and respect and we as family were treated the same when we visited. The staff at Pinewood have been exceptional over the time my mum was there, and most of the staff have been there for many years, a good sign of a great care home. The care plan set up was with the involvement of the family and we were always included in decisions on changes and adaptations when they were needed. My mum went into care after living at her own home with dementia for 6 years, she was very stressed about her change in environment but the way the carers helped her settle in and the understanding they had about how to do this was amazing. In the time before my mum passed away she and we were treated with care and compassion, we were allowed to visit as we needed as the time came closer. I would not hesitate to recommend Pinewood Lodge to anyone looking for a place for their family member.
Pinewood Lodge is an amazing place. The minute you walk through the door, it feels homely and welcoming. The staff are amazing, caring, considerate and compassionate. The food is wonderful, plentiful and it is always very clean. The staff are very friendly to residents and family members, and nothing is too much trouble for them. They treat the residents like family, and they really care about their well-being. There are daily activities for the residents to participate in if they wish to. There are also regular events e.g. Christmas party, New Year celebration and Summer party, where singers come in and entertain residents, family and friends. Local school children also visit to sing songs. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean and comfortable, and every room has an en-suite. There is a spacious garden with lots of seating. My whole family think they do an amazing job and work very hard to ensure every resident is cared for individually. They deserve the credit that should be awarded to them.
The staff who work at the home deserve more than just clap. A pay rise, I think. The work the staff do in all departments is exceptional. The care they take with all residents is second to none. Fantastic. I'm so glad my mum is here, as originally I was worried about putting her into care. But my mind has been put at rest. This is definitely the best place she could be. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the staff.
Staff are very caring and know their residents well. Staff always keep you well informed about what's happening concerning my mum. She is treated with dignity and compassion. My mum is happy with her stay at Pinewood.
My mum started off going to the day centre, but when it was time for her to be looked after 24 hours a day, a bed was available for her to stay in permanently, which was lovely as she had got to know most of the staff from her time at the day centre. This was good news for us as a family, as we had to think long and hard about residential care. The staff are always friendly and polite, and they always try to get the best out of the individual person. The home is always clean. Always greeted with a hello, how are you?
Just such wonderful, kind, caring staff. So happy that my mum is cared for here. It’s never ideal when a loved one has to go into care, but Mum is not in any distress whatsoever and is well looked after - I’m so grateful.
My mum has been in Pinewood for a couple of years; she has dementia, and the staff all laugh and joke with her and are very attentive not only to my mum but to all visitors. I burst into tears on my Boxing Day visit, and a carer came running over with tissues. I am always offered a hot beverage. I cannot praise the staff at Pinewood Lodge enough. Mum is happy, so her family are happy; thank you to all the staff at Pinewood Lodge.
My mum is very well looked after. As I can’t get to see her as much as I would like, it gives me peace of mind knowing my mum is safe and warm. The staff are lovely too. When I do manage to get to see Mum, she is always clean and tidy.
My aunt is very happy here, and every time I visit, I am always greeted by friendly, happy and helpful staff. Nothing is too much for them. I always leave feeling happy that my aunt is being well cared for here.
Mum has been very well looked after. There were plenty of events organised over the Christmas period, both from within the home and visiting entertainers. There were presents and celebratory drinks and food.
My father has been at Pinewood since August 2021 - he is 95 years old. My father is very happy there. All the staff are extremely caring, and this is a great comfort to the family, knowing that he is safe and well looked after. We would highly recommend this care home for any family looking to place their loved ones in a care home.
My mother was made very comfortable at this home. The carers were friendly and helpful. It is a shame that my mum is not aware of the excellent care she was given but I came every day and watched the busy staff going about their duties with a smile.
My mum stayed with you for a month for some rehabilitation after a hospital stay. She went with a bit of trepidation but was soon put at ease. All of the staff looked after her so well. Safe to say she enjoyed her visit and would not hesitate to come back for a stay if needed. She enjoyed the food, especially the doughnuts! and managed to put on some weight. It was always being cleaned and tidied. Thank you to everyone at Pinewood Lodge.
Very friendly staff and very helpful management are awesome and great help.
The staff and carers have been very nice during my visit and my friend seems to be content in his home. Thank you for giving good care and being so kind.
Always get prompt communication about my father's care. Always dealt with in an informative and sensitive manner. We can visit at any time and always find him cleanly dressed, washed and up and about. Never any concerns about his care which is reassuring and priceless for his family.
We visit the care home on a regular basis and the staff are friendly and supportive. The home plans activities and engages the residents and families for example recently there was a summer bbq and it was lovely to be part of.
