In general the home is excellent, all the staff are devoted to their jobs and very kind to all residents. The attention to detail is most impressive. The activities provided for residents are well-organised. The directors and managers are clearly very interested in the residents in their care by being seen on a daily basis by everyone.
Such kind and thoughtful staff. My mother is treated with love and dignity. The atmosphere at The Limes is always cheerful and calm. My mother has found a kind, loving and secure home here. Many, many thanks to all staff.
My mother went to live in The Limes at the beginning of October. My sister and I had met the manager in September, when we were given a tour of the home, and were very impressed. Mum had a comfortable, attractive room where she was allowed to bring her own furniture and personal belongings. She was made very welcome and it was obvious the staff were caring and competent. Sadly Mum was not well when she went into The Limes, and was given end-of-life care, which was of a very high standard. The staff spent time with her and made sure she was comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend The Limes, a family-run business with a big heart.
Very satisfied with the service provided.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Kept informed. Access to medical care is excellent. Home from home with lots of activities. Management is accessible and very proactive in reviewing care needs and resourcing and supplying equipment as needed.
We were fortunate enough to move Mum to The Limes a year ago from another care home and it was the best decision we have made regarding her care. The Limes is one of those places that you really hope exists for your family member, and when you find it you can't believe your luck. The staff are without doubt the most caring, professional and compassionate group of people who genuinely care about what they do. The Limes is a true "home" in every sense of the word. Communication has also been excellent. Thank you to everyone at The Limes for giving Mum the quality of life she deserves. We cannot thank you enough.
My mother became a resident of The Limes just before the Covid pandemic struck. During this time, despite the occasional difficulty with visiting while in lockdown, I never had any concerns she would be kept safe, well treated and looked after. At all times she has been treated with the utmost care by the most professional and dedicated team. I know little about the care sector, but I do know if all care homes were run and staffed the way The Limes is, then all the families who place their loved ones into care would have the peace of mind I enjoy. Well done everyone.
I am the daughter of a long-term resident of The Limes - my mother. We looked at many, many residential care home on the Island as she had severe mobility issues, and then dementia. It was the atmosphere and total feeling of true care which made up our minds. It's like a wonderful family home. Nothing is too much trouble and every member of staff is amazing. I can talk to them about absolutely anything, and my questions are always answered professionally and sympathetically. I'm always kept informed of what's going on, both medically and personally, I just couldn't ask for more. As it's a fairly small home, it's lovely to see how the wonderful staff interact with all the residents. They know their likes and dislikes, they know each and every one of them inside out and bring out the very best in them. The food is so good too, as are the homemade cakes. Suffice to say, if/when I have to go into a care home, The Limes would be my only choice.
