View Full Details of Alpine Care HomeWe are so pleased that we chose Alpine Care Home for my mum. It really feels like a home from home. We had to choose a home for my mum, who has quite advanced Dementia and Alzheimer's, during Covid so we couldn't visit in person any home. All we could do was a video call viewing. We chose Alpine because it's small (30ish residents) compared to other local homes in the area. All the staff at Alpine are fabulous, from the manager down. There are some excellent day staff who really do invest time and care with the residents. There is a quite fabulous activities co-ordinator, who has recently joined the team and she's making such a difference with keeping everyone engaged with activities. Cooking, craft, quizzes, themed events, visiting barbers, musicians, and ponies! And much more. Food is excellent, care is excellent, cleanliness is excellent. It really is a great care home. Any issues and I get a phone call explaining what's wrong and how they are putting it right. We trust Alpine.
Mum has been a resident for over a year now. I am so pleased with how she is looked after. All staff are so friendly and caring and are on the ball when there is a problem. There are plenty of activities for the residents and they are encouraged to join in which is great! The worry is taken off our shoulders as we know she is happy!
We've been so pleased with Alpine Care Home. My nan has now been here for a few months and seems to have settled in very well. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming with her and us every time we visit. They do so many activities and always have a very happy atmosphere.
Always warm and welcoming when coming to visit Nan. Friendly and helpful staff. Nan enjoys the activities that the staff put on for the residents. Always clean and clear when visiting. Nice atmosphere for residents.
Mother-in-law is very settled. The staff are really nice and friendly always happy to help. Very easy to get on with. Couldn't ask for more. I feel she has improved healthwise since being at the home receiving constant care.
Mum has had a fabulous month in the lead-up to Christmas. Mum has been to the pantomime and taken part in loads of activities and had lots of fun taking part in all the games and events that have taken place.
Our Mum has been in the home for just a few weeks now and after a difficult first couple of weeks. She really didn't want to be there, she has settled very nicely. This is due to the care, attention and perseverance shown by the staff who have really worked hard with her and even got her join in with activities and be part of the Alpine community, something we never thought we'd see. Thanks very much.
I can only say my experience of this home who have looked after my father till he passed away and currently looking after my mother can only be positive. A very happy good feel care home run by very caring staff right across the board. Have always made sure that my parent's needs have been met and also both my brother and myself have seen on many occasions how all members of staff have made sure that they have never been left alone or unattended. When my parents were more mobile it was nice to see that they would be taken out on occasions to shops and I know a regular trip to the garden centre always went down well. Both my brother and myself have never felt there has been any cause for concern. Also we are always contacted with any issues that do arise and we are always kept updated. Overall my impression is that this care home is a very caring run home and a happy place to be.
My wife has been in the Alpine Care Home for just over eight years now. I have been happy with all their love and care. If my wife could have her memory restored I'm sure she would agree.
Alpine cared for my mother when she was diagnosed with dementia as well as my father. I find the staff to be dedicated and professional they really are unsung heroes. The management always communicated well with me and my brother. The home itself is clean and tidy with great facilities well done Alpine.
My mother has been at Alpine for 8 years. She has received excellent care. The staff all treat Mum with love and respect. I would not hesitate to recommend Alpine to anyone. A lot of the staff have been working at Alpine for longer than Mum has been a resident!
My nan has settled in very well at Alpine, and is very well looked after by the friendly staff there. She is always taking part in the organised activities and events and goes on numerous outings. Thanks for making Nan feel welcome and comfortable, and thanks for your continued help and support.
I look forward to seeing my mum and have found everything exceptionally good service. Since my mum has been in the home I have seen her in a happy mood. The home is close for me and my sister to visit and for me at work.
Mum has been at the Alpine for several years now, she has mental health needs which would not normally be expected to be managed by a care home, however the staff at the Alpine show such care and compassion when her mental health deteriorates and because they treat everyone as individuals they have spent time in developing the best way to support her. They always keep me informed if there are any changes in Mum's health and I am always included in any decision-making. As I hope they know, I am very grateful to them.
I cannot recommend the staff at Alpine Lodge enough, everybody has been so kind, caring and patient with Mum, helping her settle into her new home. I have also felt hugely supported at what has been a very difficult time for me. Thank you all once again.
Myself and my brother would highly recommend this care home. Our mum has now been a resident for a couple of months, she has settled in very well. There appears to be a great team of staff that are very caring and kind and we are always kept up to date with Mum's care.
My Mum (who means the world to me and my family), has been at Alpine Care Home for some time now. Mum was very poorly and taken to hospital and We all feared the worst, but the care at the hospital was actually the worst! My mother was abandoned and left to fade! It clearly wasn't her time and the incredible manager and team (all amazing), visited Mum and the conducted an operation to get Mum back to the home from hospital where she could at least have dignity (I can't tell you how rubbish the NHS was with her and other elderly people that weekend) Mum returned to Alpine where she has improved inconceivably - through dignity and care and compassion, and clearly love! I hope anyone thinking of having a loved one cared for to consider Alpine, where Kim and her team are incredible. My Mum would be so impressed - and I will always be super grateful to the team at Alpine.
The care and love my mother receives has been exceptional. The staff are very attentive and incredibly kind. We are always made to feel welcome when we visit. Often the care team contact me and my brother with updates and photos. They arrange everything we want and my mum needs without hesitation. The home is superbly run with truly amazing activities, meals and comforts. Thank you to the whole team. I’m very grateful for caring for my mum so well.
My mum has been a resident at Alpine for seven years. She has Alzheimer's Disease. Since day one, the staff have been friendly and patient, although Mum's moods have not always been easy to deal with. Mum is happy there, largely because she feels comfortable with the staff, the majority of whom have been there since she moved in. The activities coordinator arranges a good variety of activities, encouraging all the residents to join in. Mum's room is clean and comfortable, and she really enjoys the regular, good-quality meals and snacks. Staff go out of their way to celebrate special occasions. Mum's 90th birthday party was spectacular. Alpine arranged for a singer to come and sing wartime and similar era songs, which Mum and the other residents really enjoyed joining in with. Alpine provided an enormous balloon and banner and a special afternoon tea for Mum, my sister and I. Alpine has been great with Mum. They understand her and know exactly how to deal with her on her difficult days.
My dad has been a resident for almost a year. He settled in really well and is a different person from when he was living alone. The staff are great. Could not fault Alpine Home. Thank you so much for looking after my dad.
