Her days are now bright!
My wife entered Fairways Care 9th October 2022. I have seen the way all the staff work and care for residents, all very good. I visit my wife nearly every day and I am happy at how she is looked after. I have absolutely no negative comments at all. Of course I miss my wife being at home with me but know that she is in a caring home. Our four adult children are very happy that she is where she is and receiving good care.
Very friendly home they always welcome you in, and always offer you a drink.
Really great place, nice and warm and homely. Staff are very happy and keep everyone's spirits up. It's quite nice that it is all cosy and everyone makes you feel at ease. They share lots of photos on social media too, which is great
My dad has been a resident now for 6 months, we have found the home to be a welcoming and safe environment. The staff are all pleasant and always attentive. Certainly from my dad's perspective, he seems more than happy residing at the home. Food and drink are plentiful and always an activity taking place which he will sometimes, with persuasion, take part in.
Mum moved into Fairways some 7 years ago and sadly passed away this month (October). I cannot thank all the staff there enough for their kindness, empathy and friendship shown towards mum. Mum was very proud of how she decorated her room and again the staff were more than helpful when it would come to rearranging furniture, nothing was too much trouble. It speaks volumes to me that several members of staff have been with Fairways decades .... I could not recommend Fairways any more highly and hope that they get to see this review. It is well deserved.
My father moved into Fairways last August as he could no longer live on his own. He sadly passed away earlier this month. During the intervening time, the love, care and attention from the staff at Fairways was beyond expectations. Always smiling and willing to do whatever it took to keep my father comfortable and content. I visited very regularly and was always greeted by a smiling staff member, most of whom I was on first-name terms with. They were always ready with a brief update on dad. The medical attention he received there far exceeded what I could have achieved for him living at home. Dad appreciated good, wholesome food and before his health deteriorated often told me what he had for dinner followed by the comment that it tasted pretty damn good and high praise for him! His room was always warm, clean and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I cannot recommend Fairways highly enough. Thank you!
Very friendly and supportive to everyone.
Excellent all-around care! Always very welcoming when visiting, and it's a pleasure to see the residents always chirpy and sitting chatting to each other. Lovely to see all the craft activities the residents have done and displayed. We also enjoyed a recent outing with a ploughman's lunch and live music, which when looking, the residents were singing along to, and those who could, were dancing.
My mother has been at Fairways for around three years; they have always been caring for her ever-changing needs and have kept us informed of her progress. I ask her on every visit whether she has any complaints or requests and have never had to bring up any issues with the staff.
My personal experience of the care home is excellent, clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful; they do a wonderful job with the residents. No complaints at all. Would definitely recommend it to others.
Wonderful care home. My good friend was well looked after and made her feel happy and content while living at Fairways Residential Home. My friend was always commenting on how nice the food was and how the activities were enjoyable and interactive. Fairways has a homely feeling and always welcomed in with a cup of tea. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very happy with the care my father receives. He's suffering from dementia so is not always the easiest person to deal with, but he is dealt with respectfully. If he's having a tough time emotionally, we can call the home and talk to the staff, who are always understanding and appreciate the input from us.
My mum was admitted to Fairways in August 2022. The admission was excellent, the manager made a special visit to the local hospital to carry out the assessment. They even managed to decorate her room before she went in to give it a light airy feel. All the staff are very caring and friendly. Most are local people so for residents like my mum it is nice as many can chat about the area's local knowledge and people they may know. The food is all home cooked, my mum says she regularly sees the delivery of fresh fruit and veg which looks of very good quality. They are very flexible too as they ask the residents what they would like in terms of sandwiches so there is always a choice. The team are very good at keeping in touch with any issues that may arise. We are very happy with all aspects of her care and I have no regrets about choosing Fairways as a residential home.
My mother-in-law has settled very well in the home and made friends. During December, there were many activities that we were invited to. I attended the Christmas meal at the golf Course. The staff were very attentive, ensuring that the residents were all enjoying themselves.
My husband's daughter and I cannot fault the care, compassion and empathy shown for him and us, by all of the staff. They took the time to find out who he was before dementia took hold of him. It was home from home and whilst he could not communicate fully, his eyes told us he felt safe. His last hours were filled with peace and comfort. Thank you Fairways Residential Home.
Fairways is a close neighbour of ours and we knew it had a good reputation in the area. My mother-in-law came to live with us at the start of Covid. When things started to get back to "normal", mum stayed at Fairways for respite which allowed us to travel for work. It was clear from the start she was well cared for and she enjoyed the company of both residents and staff and eventually went into Fairways full time. Being so close we visited Mum daily and never had any problems doing so. Fairways gave Mum, in her final days, the utmost care and access to doctors we could not have achieved at home and we'll be forever grateful to the manager, assistant manager, and their wonderful team.
Moving Mum from Sussex to Fairways Residential Home, to be closer to me, was the best decision I could have made. The care that Mum received there was excellent. I cannot praise highly enough the kindness, patience and care always given to Mum, despite some occasional challenges she gave the staff. To be able to sit and enjoy the garden with Mum and trips to the seafront were very precious. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the staff showed as much compassion to me as they did to Mum at the end of her life. I can highly recommend Fairways Residential Home as a perfect home for a loved one who needs care.
My mother received excellent and compassionate care at Fairways especially in the last few months of her life. All the staff took wonderful care of her, two specifically who do a very difficult job with humour and kindness. I will always be grateful that I could count on them all to look after her as if she were their own mother. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fairways to anyone considering residential care.
I wish to comment on my experience with Fairways Residential Home. My brother was admitted there, very poorly and depressed and only given a short prognosis of life, however, after a few weeks he made a remarkable recovery, and the kindness shown to him by all the staff was beyond the call of duty; they really brightened up his life and made his final months there more than just bearable. The home was always clean and tidy as he was too. Throughout the difficult times of Covid 19, they were always cheery and helpful not only to him but also to me, allowing me to see him, and to spend his last final hours with me - the one he was closest to. Thank you, Fairways, I would certainly recommend your services to anyone.
