View Full Details of GreenbanksMy sister-in-law lives in Greenbanks. She's had a difficult time over the last few years because of the death of her parents and the Covid lockdowns. Throughout it all she had the support of the entire team at Greenbanks as well as the residents. When we could only see her on video calls, she would tell us all about the activities that were happening and how she felt safe in the house. Now things are back open again she's able to go out and take part in activities all over the place but Greenbanks is her safe place, it's her home. My wife and I know that she is happy, healthy, cared for and safe at Greenbanks and we know that the staff go above and beyond to make sure that everyone's needs are met and respected.
I know that my sister is receiving the best care at Greenbanks. It's her home and in her words, she 'lives with friends'. The house is always clean and tidy, the menu is fantastic and varied, and the staff are all so kind and know how to handle all manners of emotions that arise in a house of multiple personalities! I always enjoy visiting the home, catching up with the residents, the staff and, of course, my sister. There's always something enriching going on and, most importantly of all, everyone is respected. If someone doesn't want to participate in an activity then that is respected and other options are made available. This is a home for a group of grown adults, all with different views and life experiences. They all live together as a formed family and the staff are the glue that keeps it all together. I really cannot speak highly enough of the home and the team who keep it running.
My brother has been at Greenbanks since its inception. Throughout these 30-plus years there have been many traumatic 'life' events for us as a family - as with anyone. However, the care and compassion shown to my brother has been outstanding. The staff and management team are always obliging and honest - I feel that I can approach them with any issue no matter how small and that they will act upon it. The way the recent pandemic was handled was exemplary - at a time when most care homes were struggling! Above all, the most important fact is that my brother is extremely happy and well cared for.
Our daughter has been in care for 25 years, during that time she has been in a number of homes and without exception, they have all failed to meet her needs. We bless the day seven years ago when we were able to secure a place in Greenbanks house which is a lovely home set on lovely grounds set in an area of outstanding beauty. Recently the existing workshops within the grounds have been replaced with new state-of-the-art workshops. Our daughter has so many choices of activities she can choose from to do something different each day and as a result of the care and support she receives from the staff and never bored. She is more relaxed and settled and loves living there. When she comes home for the weekends she neverminds going home to Greenbanks.
What a fantastic home! My sister has lived in the home for 5 years. She is extremely happy. The staff are excellent. The home provides a full and varied life for her and she is always cheerful.
My daughter is very well cared for at the home. She has many health problems that the staff help and supports her with. She is extremely happy at the home and certainly doesn't want to leave. The staff care for and supports her very well.
Our son has been a resident at Greenbanks since the beginning of June 2022. Prior to that, he attended a work centre on a daily basis for many years. We have been very pleased with how easily he has adapted to the new situation. Greenbanks is a fine home providing a welcoming environment for all its residents. The staff are friendly, caring and professional. The house is immaculate and the gardens well looked after. Our son tells us the food is good and plentiful; i.e. particularly appreciated the abundance of fresh fruit and the mug of hot chocolate he is offered in the evening. To sum up, Greenbanks has lived up to all our expectations and we cannot imagine a happier environment for our son to experience the next phase of his life.
My cousin has resided at Greenbanks for over thirty years. In that time, we have seen it develop and grow into a wonderful home for her. Her parents were worried that many of the places they looked at were too institutional. Greenbanks has always been a home from home where residents are treated as family. The house itself is like a beautiful country house and the staff are caring and dedicated. In thirty-five years, we have never found any cause for complaint and my cousin has been very happy here.
