View Full Details of HanningfieldWell, what can I say? My mum moved in in June 2020 and as you can imagine was a difficult time due to Covid. The entire staff went over and beyond in their care for my mum. I cannot begin to express how thankful and appreciative of the love and care that was given to my mum during her time there. Even towards the end of Mum's life the love and care never faded. I thank each and every member of the team from the bottom of my heart for all the love and care you gave to my mum.
From the day that I first viewed Hanningfield in 2021 for our precious mum, I believed that she would be very happy here. Mum took up residence in February 2022, following a period of social isolation she quickly became herself again, safe, happy, contented, singing and she even regained her appetite. She was so well cared for in every aspect with complete dignity and kindness and treated just like one of the family. Mum could join in with activities or spend time in the comfort of her own room, the choice was entirely hers, she constantly reported: "This is a good place to be". Staff were always courteous and telephone communication was excellent. As a family, we cannot recommend Hanningfield more highly. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
We could not have wished for better care for my father, fantastic staff and nothing was too much trouble.
Hanningfield is exceptional. An absolute delight. Staff/management team are high energy focussed, positive and very importantly - listen! I cannot recommend them enough. My father was very poorly after two weeks in Hanningfield his personality joy and health returned. Thank you so much.
The staff at Hanningfield go above and beyond to make the residents feel welcome. The care for individual needs is exemplary whether it is dressing, bathing or nutritional needs. Communication is excellent and when action is excellent and when action is needed the team resolve any issues immediately. My father looked a different person within two weeks being in Hanningfield
My father was at Hanningfield Care Home for over three years, up until his death in January 2023. The level of care he received throughout that time was excellent. The staff were always very caring because of his condition (Alzheimer's and Dementia) he needs took up a lot of their time. We, my father's family cannot thank them enough.
My mother spent eight weeks at Hanningfield to enable her to return home after a hospital stay. As a family, we were so grateful to the team for providing a happy, secure and positive environment for our mum. The personal care and compassion received were of a very good standard. The rooms and building looked tied in some areas, but what really matters is the care. Areas for improvement are food (not enough home-cooked or food quality ingredients).
Since my mum has gone into this care home, she is kept clean, well-fed, she seems to have settled in very well, the manager and staff are all polite, helpful and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to other people.
My mother stayed at Hanningfield for respite care for a week in April 2022. I can not praise the staff highly enough for their hard work and warm welcome. From the second we came through the door, the manager and her team made my mother feel at home and since she has come back, she has been full of stories about how well the staff treated her, how good the food was and how welcomed and cared for she felt while she was there. From my family and myself, we just want to say ‘thank you’. We will always put Hanningfield as our first choice when Mum has to have respite care in the future.
My father went into Hanningfield Retirement Home in March 2018. He was always kept well groomed, clan and felt happy/settled in his new surroundings. Hanningfield keep their residents entertained with a variety of in-house activities and employ the services of musicians for musical activities. This care home focuses on 'care' and not cosmetical, modern building and equipment upgrades. What they have is, indeed, sufficient to meet the residents daily needs. It is a very 'homely' environment. My father's palliative care needs were treated with utmost sensitivity. Our family were always kept well informed of changes in my fathers health. Thank you Hanningfield!
I visited my aunt at this care home and it was lovely to see her so happy and well cared for. This is a lovely place and has a real family atmosphere.
From the first meeting, Mum was treated with the utmost respect, dignity and every effort was made by all staff to make her feel welcome and comfortable. The home's open door policy is very open, welcoming and convenient for all members to pop in. We all had a high opinion of all staff members we met and Mum was looked after by all with a genuine and caring manner. A BIG THANK YOU to all the staff and the lovely and caring owners for all they have done for my mum and our whole family to feel completely welcomed and cared for.
This care home is the best residential home in this area in my opinion. I have recently had experience of all aspects whilst visiting one of my previous clients. I have recommended this home to many people. Excellent care provided by professional well-trained staff who are motivated, polite and the most caring staff I have met. The owners put the care of the residents before everything and provide a happy family environment. How likely would you be to recommend Hanningfield Retirement Home? Extremely Likely
A lovely friendly home. The staff are all wonderful, as are the homeowners who are often on site and getting involved with the residents. My mum has been here a few months now and has settled in well. It's lovely to not have to worry about her any longer, I know she is well looked after and safe. It may not be the most modern of places but the care and attention are second to none and that is more important to me for my mother than decor and soft furnishings!
My nan was a resident for a short period of time, but in that time she was well looked after and cared for. The manager, staff and owners were understanding, friendly and always had time for me to have a shoulder to cry on or a cuddle.
My father had to go into care and I placed him in Hanningfield and he absolutely loves it there. He was always saying I've had my life and wanted to die but now he's got a new lease of life. The owners are an amazing family and the staff from management to the carers, cleaners and kitchen staff are fantastic with all the residents. My dad is always laughing when I go and visit him. I can't thank the Hanningfield team enough.
The home is so wonderful. The staff are so caring and helpful and the owners are such lovely people, I really feel like I'm surrounded by family here.
My father has had a very positive experience at Hanningfield. The staff most of whom have been there for a long time and are kind, caring and looks after their residents really well. We, as a family are included in all decision-making activities and events during the year which families are invited to. Fab place, very clean and amazing gardens for the residents, wouldn't have my father anywhere else.
We were recomended this home by a friend and for good reason. My aunt has been living there for the past three years now and has really had such an amazing service delivered day on day with fantastic care and support. The staff can not be faulted with what they will do to ensure her happiness. The manager is lovely and the owners are a fantastic family that are always present and are such lovely people. It has such a homely feel to place would highly recommend it to anyones loved ones when searching around.
My mother has been a resident at Hanningfield for 16 months now. Mother went into care after dementia was taking a hold of her memory. Since being there my mother has always been well cared for and fed. The staff are always very helpful in every respect. The times that mum has been taken ill the staff have never hesitated in calling in medical qualified assistance.
