View Full Details of Park View Care CentreMy mother was put onto end of life pathway in January. The staff thoroughly explained what this meant. Over the next few weeks all of the staff on oak helped my mum, caring for her kindly and making sure she was comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum was offered her favourite food to tempt her to eat. She has hand massages to relax her and staff went into her room more regularly to offer any help or support she wanted. It was the best care given kindly and with compassion.
I always feel welcome as a visitor! The staff are always polite and helpful to me. My friend's mother is always clean and the bed and room is clean and neat. Thank you.
Always a pleasant visit, the staff are friendly, teas and coffees and yummy cakes and treats on hand as always. Makes it a lovely social visit and not a visit of duty. Bringing back those special moments. I absolutely love the Bistro, you feel so at home and my uncle feels like he's been out for the day! "Always a lovely tidy home."
My wife moved to Park View Care Home in May 2024, she has settled in very well. All the nursing staff and carers have been very helpful and supportive to us both. Food is very good, lots of different tasty home cooked meals, plenty of snacks and drinks during the day. There is a hairdresser on site, which is fantastic, as my wife is bed bound, so the hairdresser does room visits too. There is plenty of entertainment, for any resident to participate in. Rooms and public areas are very clean. In general, I can rest assured my wife is in good hands.
My mum moved into Park View Care Centre at the beginning of the month and has settled incredibly well. The home had an instant warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff very welcoming and kind. She has been so well cared for, in a really organised and caring environment. I couldn't speak more highly of this lovely home.
I am pleased to give a favourable review of the care my wife receives. She is deteriorating with dementia, but is quite settled and at home in her environment. This tells me that her carers are looking after her well, otherwise she would be distressed which is not the case. I can leave her after my visits with peace of mind knowing that she is receiving the care she needs. At times it is demanding for the carers to deal with residents who have mental difficulties, I have witnessed how well the staff manage situations that can arise among the residents. So, I am pleased to give a five star rating on behalf of myself and my family who are all in agreement with my review.
My mother has been resident at Park View Care Centre since November 2022. The manager is very approachable and indeed encourages residents and relatives to let him know if if there are any problems. He is full of ideas and initiatives to make life in the home as pleasant as possible. All staff are caring, pleasant and friendly. We visit regularly, usually unannounced and always find mum to be clean, her room spotless and the staff knowledgeable and helpful. There is a very active team organising entertainment who are excellent at encouraging residents to join in.
I never cease to be amazed by the kindness and patience of the carers at Park View Care Centre. Six months of caring by myself for my wife exhausted me. These ladies do it day after day. Nothing seems to faze them, incontinence, ingratitude, they take it in their stride. We owe them a big debt of gratitude for shouldering the burden.
I am very happy with the care that my Mother receives at Park View Care Centre. The staff are very kind to her and look after her well. I am informed and consulted about her care. I am able to discuss any concerns I have with the staff and they have always been helpful, professional and friendly.
My husband has Parkinson's dementia and is only 59. The home is not perfect but they try their best at all times. I feel that my husband is safe and well looked after in a calm, very clean environment. Thank you team.
Things have really improved since the new manager arrived. The food still needs attention, but I believe it's in hand.
All the staff work hard. Very helpful receptionist at the front desk. Recently appointed new management, they have been liaising with the residents which has helped a lot in terms of food content and options, and more activities. Meals are an important part of the day for my aunt and others. Chef has visited to talk directly. Some changes in the communal rooms layout, again, management are trying not just sit back.
I am very pleased with the care home: my sister is very happy there. Plenty of entertainment, hairdressers and plenty to do to keep her entertained. It is spotlessly clean and the staff are brilliant. We go in any time of the day, which is great for us.
My stepfather was here for six weeks and was extremely well looked after. Thank you to the general manager and all her staff.
My husband moved in on 30th July 2024. He got a decent size room with view of trees and park, which he loves. The staff are very professional and kind. I had very good contacts with the management. So far, the food has been satisfactory with some good days. My husband looks happy when I visit. He is kept clean and showered. The frustrating part is the relationship with the surgery - nobody ever knows when the doctor is in. But overall, it has been a very positive experience.
My mother was a resident at Park View for around 12 weeks. I found the home to be perfect in every way. All staff were always helpful, and above all, respectful at all times. Unfortunately, Mother died in Park View from her illness, but I cannot imagine her being more comfortable and cared for in any other environment. I really cannot thank the staff and carers enough for making a very difficult time as easy to cope with as possible. I would highly recommend this home.
Staff have been so amazing looking after my nan. She was made so comfortable in her last few weeks and was provided amazing care. Two members of staff in particular were so amazing in explaining and providing support for all the family. At the end they both were upset and cried which showed my family what this job really means to them. They are valuable to this care home.
My nan has only been here a short period of time but already I can see an improvement in her health. At present, she is not safe to return home. This is tough on the family as we want to care for her at home but with work and family commitments it was proving difficult. Park View responded very quickly to the request of assessing my nan and she was admitted to Park View the following day. All the staff at Park View have been very welcoming. The home is clean and tidy. The room is light and airy. Nan was originally in a room by the garden, the gentleman opposite her occasionally shouted out and this caused Nan to get upset. The home recognised this and moved her to a different room where it was quieter. Nan has been allowed to have her home comforts brought in. Family are allowed to take her out for the day which is very comforting for my family and my nan. At times when Nan has got upset when we are not there staff have reassured her. Nan is being well looked after.
What a beautiful place. I was so worried about my nan going into a home. It's a scary process and the staff made it all so easy. What a beautiful place. So much to do and so much food. The staff are amazing too. I can't fault it.
My mother-in-law has been here since earlier in the year. Cannot fault the care and kindness she receives from the amazing, caring staff. No worrying about how she is being cared for. She is always included in activities and the lifestyle team always encourages her to take part.
