I am so glad that my mum is in this care home, they cater for all her needs and I don't have to worry about anything. If there was to be a problem they would contact myself or my sister. They are always posting photos of what they get up to, which is great
My mother stayed in Heathfield Care Home on an assessment care bed basis. She actually stayed at Heathfield Care Home for 6 months while I was sorting out relocation to the Staffordshire area. While my Mum was there, I found the care she was given was 100% and most of all was given compassionately. All the staff at Heathfield are spot on and the management were very helpful in any concern I had. They went out of there way to keep me in touch and all the care staff were extremely good. I would recommend Heathfield Care Home 100% and are willing to give a recommendation if asked by anyone. Keep up the extremely good work Heathfield.
Great communication from all at Heathfield. Mum is very happy there. Lots of activities happening daily, good food menu, no issues with visiting whenever I want. All-around a great place for my mum to be.
We made the difficult decision to place Mum in to care due to her dementia. This was extremely difficult having come from a care background. Whilst there were teething problems to start with, improvements have been made and now my mum is settled, happy and feels safe. She doesn't ask to come home and has a smile on her face the majority of the time. The food here is fantastic with a wide selection on offer. All care staff are friendly, lot of activities and outings offered for the more able.
Mum has been staying at the care home for nearly 2 years. She doesn’t mix well with others and prefers her own company, but they try and involve her as much as they can. She had a short stay in hospital and we were lucky to get her back to Heathfield, they pulled out all the stops and got Mum right again. They were brilliant, the staff very thoughtful and caring. There are times when some residents need a bit more care than others. We are very thankful for all they do.
My mum initially came to Heathfield for respite last Easter after a very long time of convincing my mum that care homes are exactly that “care home" and not institutions. She loved it! We then applied and waited for a permanent vacancy. Mum moved in last August on a permanent basis and I and all the family can only say, is how amazingly Heathfield staff have cared for Mum and improved her well-being. Thank you all the staff at Heathfield.
Very welcoming staff very nice. Usually something going on to keep the residents occupied with good facilities. Management always happy to discuss any issues my father has only been there a little while but we are very happy with the care he has received.
My mother-in-law has been at Heathfield for a year. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have supported us through this last year and we feel very lucky that my mother-in-law was given a bed here.
I came to visit my dear aunt at Heathfield and was overwhelmed by the feeling of care and kindness from all the staff. Nothing seemed to be any trouble and I am truly grateful to all who work there. I was sceptical at first due to the stigma of care homes but felt immediately welcome by all. Keep up the great work!
After viewing Heathfield Nursing Home, I was initially impressed by what I had seen and arranged for my uncle who suffers from Dementia to have a 3-week respite stay. Staff was aware that my uncle had a catheter and I was assured that all staff had catheter care training. My uncle had his hair cut 2 days before going in. When I collected my uncle after 3 weeks his head had been shaved. He had a razor cut that was healing in his head. All of his clothing was lost, and his catheter night bag was still attached to the stand with no blue end cap to stop bugs! The bag was dated and hadn’t been changed for 18 days. My uncle was dirty and smelly unshaven. He was wearing an incontinence pad that he did not need which had cut into his groan area and he was bleeding. He had the start of 2 bed sores which he had never had before, his testicular area was red raw. The catheter leg bag was blocked with thick concentrated urine no leg straps on the bag to hold it into position and had clearly not been changed.
